SPECIAL FEATURES

Geonosian Iron-Rockite
is renowned for its exceptional strength and durability, making it an ideal choice for fortifications and Geonosian hives. However, its usage is often hindered by the demanding storage conditions it necessitates. This formidable metal/alloy is capable of withstanding substantial weight and pressure without succumbing to stress-induced collapse, making it a valuable reinforcement material for pre-existing structures.

The Iron-Rockite, with its unique properties, is a highly versatile material that can be utilized in various applications. It is capable of serving as the foundation for not only starship hulls but also land-based vehicles, whether it is used for their outer shells or inner components.

Despite its ability to function effectively in these roles, the true strength of Iron-Rockite lies in its ability to enhance the durability and resilience of other materials. By binding with different substances, it has the capacity to significantly strengthen them, making it an invaluable resource for construction and engineering projects.

STRENGTHS

Heavy Resilient:
This substance possesses remarkable strength and durability, making it well-suited for protecting starships and large vehicles from mass-driver rounds and blaster cannon fire.

Strengthen Other Materials: The Iron-Rockite has the capability to form bonds with various materials available in the market, thereby enhancing their structural integrity. This property proves to be advantageous in the realm of construction and engineering endeavors.

Defense Against Lightsabers: The Iron-Rockite has naturally incorporated Norris root plant fragments, providing it with a level of protection against energy from blaster bolts or lightsabers.

WEAKNESSES

Limited Bonding
: The Iron-Rockite possesses the ability to establish connections with other substances, albeit limited to a maximum of two materials simultaneously. If an individual surpasses this limit, the Rockite will exhibit volatile reactions and may potentially compromise the integrity of the material rather than enhancing it.

Deterioration: . Iron-Rockite is prone to rapid deterioration once removed from the Planet of Geonosis, as its unique molecules rely heavily on the specific atmospheric and ground conditions found exclusively on the planet. Those seeking to acquire this material must make arrangements for specialized transportation that replicates its native environment.

Lightsabers Part II: The Iron-Rockite contains Norris Root Fragments, however, these fragments are insufficient to entirely halt a lightsaber in its path. Although a superficial strike may not cause significant harm, a thrusting action could easily pierce through the substance.

DESCRIPTION

Geonosian Iron-Rockite
was only recently discovered in 901 ABY, by the efforts of the Geonosian Industries and its Chairman Brachtor the Vindicated Brachtor the Vindicated after conducting some geological surveys deep into the planet.

These surveys showed several abandoned mining shafts, left over from the Confederacy of Independent Systems when they collapsed, and after gathering enough of the worker-castes, these shafts were thoroughly explored to ensure that no remaining resources were left behind that could be sold on the open-market.

During this extensive investigation, the Geonosians unexpectedly encountered the Rockite, concealed at great depths within the lowest part of the mining shaft. Following a meticulous collection of a small sample, it was determined that the substance possessed inherent durability and remarkable resilience against immense pressure. Consequently, it emerged as an ideal material for fortifications and the mending of hives.
