Get Me Off This Rock

[Ryley Maevis]

Hey guys, yesterday I posted up my first character. His bio is linked to the left. To summarize his life and desires, Ryley has been living on Belgaroth for his whole life and now he is 18 and prays for a way to get off the gloomy planet. I am considering having him run into an issue with the law (I believe his home planet is under the Sith's control), or just get any average citizen of Belgaroth pissed off at him enough that he feels the need to escape the planet. His skills include some engineering and he is an exceptional pilot on his speeder. It will be difficult for him to part with his overracer if it cannot fit on the starship. He is force sensitive, and I think the most interesting possibility for his future would be to go into training as a Jedi, but I am open to really anyone who may want to roleplay with me.

Basically I want him to run into a visitor in his homeland who will show him another part of the world and maybe set the course for his future. If anyone is interested in visiting Belgaroth, I think this could be fun.

How would you feel being a "People's criminal"? Providing kindness, compassion and assistance when the law fails (E.g; said encounter with the sith who occupy his planet). That is what we do. We are always looking for new pilots, great new faces willing to help out the average person. I think you would fit right in to our "Robinhood-esque" group. You like the way that sounds?

[member="Lord Ajihad"], Ryley's main interest is getting away from his home planet. If the person who can help him happens to be a member of a criminal syndicate, it probably wouldn't be hard to persuade him to join their ranks. Especially if this syndicate will provide for his drug habits!

[member="Lord Ajihad"], [member="Liam Darkgear"] -- Here's a suggestion as to why Liam may be visiting Belgaroth, since Ryley wouldn't have contacted the syndicate for transportation. Ryley recently happened to murder Belgaroth's primary spice seller and took some product. Perhaps Liam travelled to the planet to bring a shipment to this now deceased dealer, or he is visiting to seize the man's spice stash to redistribute himself. He could somehow find out that Ryley had killed the man and maybe be impressed by this, prompting him to invite Ryley to the syndicate.

I like the idea, it'd blend into the Black Sun storyline rather well. However, perhaps we could say the dealer was part of the Black Sun? That way, [member="Liam Darkgear"] could be there to hunt down the dealer's killer.

However, it's your guys' choice on how you'd like to write it. Just my 2 cents.
