Get Your Metal On

Only a year had passed since her last encounter with her brother. In that year, Aren had gone into hiding and remained elusive from pretty much everybody. However, she wasn't quite good enough to totally hide from Arekk not that the woman actually wanted to be kept from her brother. She would leave tiny hints for him. Things that if he was searching for her, he would find and know she was still around. If those crumbs ever stopped, then that meant something happened to her.

On what was the anniversary of their initial meeting, she sent him a clear message and asked for a reunion. It was her pick of location and she decided to have it on a world she was comfortable with. There weren't very many ecumenopolises left, but it was on these city-wide worlds she was comfortable and confident.

Within that message were coded clues to where she would be waiting. It was a test to Arekk to see just how well he really was at his slicing job.

Tiny crumb-trails were all what Arekk needed to know about Aren's current state and to make sure she was safe wherever she was, it had been a while since he had decided to stop meddling into her little sister's business to allow her to see the world as it really was. He'd be there for her when things would go south and to make her realize that not everyone was out there to help her, that most offers were too good to be true and that she couldn't trust anyone.

Decoding the message was the easiest part of the job and with the current aid of the AI implant just installed in his body, Arekk was able to pinpoint her exact location and to decypher some very clever messages left behind on the datapad. She was clever, he thought, that was in their blood. The mighty Daesharacor bloodline.

"I was hoping you'd give me a better challenge, little sis."

Wherever she was, Aren would have been able to hear him. Not so difficult to find each other, huh? Only siblings know how.

Getting messages to and from each other was never a challenge for either of them. It was the other various elements that would be more difficult to figure out. Mainly the current location of Aren. She knew exactly where she was, but kept this secret from Arekk.

It didn't take him as long as she had hoped before his message reached her. Letting out a chuckle though, maybe it was more their shared blood than any actual skill he had that got him to find her.

"Come and meet me, big brother! I would enjoy a reunion without getting shot at. You think we can manage that this time?"

Their last meeting had been at a private dinner and that had ended up with them getting shot at. Luckily her ability to control electronics had allowed them to escape. Having lost contact with Arekk since then, she could only hope he had gotten away as well. After getting grabbed and thrown out of a window on the top floor, she had not been in any condition to know what had happened to him.

"See you when you find me."

Rolling over in the bed she had been sleeping in, Aren got her shoes on and headed down the stairs to the bar she was sleeping above. With a gentle nudge through the Force, the server droid provided her with a drink and she took her customary seat at the back of the room.
