Jedi Brat!
It had been a while, but Braze was seemingly without the Force as it were. He had a score to settle one way or another with the old man. New position or not, he would find a way to get back at Master Zark San Tekka for the 'delicious' Wookiee food he was gifted with eating up. Braze had eaten every last bite of both his own meal and Zark's out of politeness. Plus, it would be a good opportunity to put forward his developing stealth skills.
The location was the Gatemaster's very own chambers. The target: the Gatemaster's mask. A temple guard's symbol. The symbol of authority, duty, and tradition. Stealing it, even temporarily, would be a bold and brazen statement and a test of Braze's abilities. He had lost the Force, but his determination was intact. If anything, the absence of his once-reliable powers had sharpened his wits and heightened his awareness of the physical world.
Braze moved silently through the dimly lit corridors of the temple, his senses heightened. Each step was calculated, every shadow a potential hiding place. The Gatemaster's chambers were heavily guarded, but Braze had studied the patrol patterns and knew the exact moment to strike.
Reaching the chamber door, he paused, listening for any signs of movement inside. Satisfied that the coast was clear, he carefully sliced the lock, a skill he had honed during his time away from the Force. The door slid open silently, revealing the inner sanctum of Master Zark San Tekka.
The mask of a Jedi Temple Guard was more than just a piece of armor. It was a representation of the Jedi's commitment to justice and their role as protectors of the galaxy. The mask concealed the identity of the wearer, symbolizing the selflessness required to serve the Order. By hiding their individual identities, the temple guards became faceless defenders, embodying the ideals of the Jedi rather than their personal ambitions.
With the mask in sight, Braze's pulse quickened. He approached it with reverence, his hand trembling slightly as he reached out. The weight of what he was about to do settled heavily upon him, but he pushed the doubt aside. He had a point to prove.
