- Powerful weapon systems.
- Advanced scanners.
- Agility.
- Particle cannons can be difficult to aim due to bolt speed and rate of fire.
- Scanner can only use one mode at a time.
- Similar to the GF-2B it's replacing, the GF-4 can't be fielded in as high of numbers are other fighter designs.
Designed to replace the aging GF-2B Super TwinTail, the GF-4 Stinger is a new generation of frontline, multirole fighter capable of delivering a powerful punch. Like the TwinTail, the Stinger is armed with 4 Uur particle cannons and 2 Strill universal launch tubes, giving the craft a formidable, and flexible armament. Along with this the fighter was built to be agile, with the ability to pull on other multiroles like the classic X-Wing. At the same time, the Stinger is fitted with an advanced scanner system, allow for better situational awareness and targeting.
At the same time, the fighter does have downsides. The particle cannons are more difficult to aim with its slower bolts. It's advanced scanners can also only use one mode at a time, either long range or narrow line. It also shares one issue with the GF-2B. Both fighters can't be built at the same capacity as other craft, limiting their use to the Mandalorian Covenant and Clan Gred.
It's also noted that with the creation of the Stingers, most GF-2Bs have been pulled back to guard and escort duties, and provided to the SJC for planetary guards that need fighter craft.
