Noah Corek
Cocked, Locked and a Smoking Barrel
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
With the training formed and the gear constructed the last portion of getting the GFL started up was forming the basic building blocks of it and this meant structuring the units. Noah started from the ground up and began first by constructing a basic rifle squad. Calling on his long military career Noah he began to try and construct a squad that was as well rounded and as self sufficient in combat as he possibly could.
Typically a squad consists of ten to twelves members but Noah quickly realized that this amount wouldn't be enough to keep the squad self-sufficient in combat. It was because of this that Noah added in an extra eight members, reinforcing the squad and bringing the squad size up to twenty members.
The squad consists of a squad leader whose job it is to, obviously, lead the squad. Next is the comms operators/assistant squad leader whose job it is to coordinate comms between the two fireteams the squad is split into as well as taking command if the squad leader is incapacitated. From there the squad is split into two separate fireteams, called Aurek and Besh, who are lead by their team leaders who also double as the squads grenadiers with their UGL-01's.
Each fireteam has a combat medic who tends to the medical needs of the team; a designated marksman who engages targets that fall outside of the range of the teams other members; a automatic rifleman who operates the teams LMG-01 which provides the base of fire for any movement and their main source of defensive firepower; a assistant automatic rifle man who assists the automatic riflemen and carries extra ammunition; a combat engineer who are experts in both blowing up and constructing obstacles; and lastly two of your typical riflemen round off the fire team. The last two members of the squad are a pair of snipers who work as a sniper/spotter team and are responsible for engaging targets that are unable to be engaged by the designated marksmen.
