From flaws point of view, the pellets of the shatter gun are too small to effectively pierce more durable armor despite its heavy kinetic damage. Rare material armors would hardly be pierced by these pellets. Moreover, it cannot load any slugs that are above the 7.62mm mark which adds to the piercing effect.

The repulsor boost technology stated in the special feature is basically 'pores' that 'pull' the location at where the hammer is currently aiming to slam. It is based on Vanir Technologies notorious VT-Grav Glove but at much lesser power, it simply tries to snare the object/sentient that the user is trying to strike.
From a weakness point of view, it is a weapon that is hard to block or act as a duelist with due to its lack of defensive capabilities such as a blade has (length of blade), for example. It is definitely not the best weapon to use alone in a melee dueling combat.
