Ghost Hunting

Takodana, near an old castle ruin
Sort of a continuation of this thread
Same objectives as last time. Loot to your heart's content. Explore the old, sunken ruins of Maz Kanata's castle, and fight Sith Phantasms if you want.
Once again Mereel set the Death Bucket down in a clearing of trees, three kilometers away from a ruined castle. Last time he was here, it was because he had heard a spacer bar story of ghosts inhabiting the ruins. This time, it was because he knew that there were ghosts inhabiting the ruins.

An unnatural darkness had inhabited the old castle ruins, a darkness that he had promised to himself that he would destroy. He realized he couldn't do it alone however. He had been knocked out and given a concussion in a battle last time. The only reason he had survived the encounter was because another Mandalorian and a strange life form had fought the beast while he was unconscious.

Mereel thought it was one of the duties of the Jedi to combat evil where they found it, but that didn't mean he was going to subject himself to a suicide mission. The ghosts had him outclassed and outnumbered the last time he was here, and he went to the Republic Remnant's Jedi Order for assistance.

He popped the cockpit of his ARC-170 and hopped outside of the vessel. He put on his helmet, which was once again painted blue, and grabbed his DC-15AB rifle from where he stored it in the copilot seat. He moved back around to the pilot cockpit, and hit a sequence of buttons to transmit his current coordinates to [member="Iona Immarya"].

After getting a confirmation of the coordinates being sent, he sat down on the ground, and began meditating. It was something to pass the time while he waited for the other Padawan.

Aden sat in the cockpit of the Lyger, inhaling a cigarette as he watched the countless stars pass by. The brief moments of respite that he was offered were appreciated, and he made sure to enjoy every minute. The Nav-Display began to whine. He silenced the alarm with a quick press of a button, bringing up a display:

APPROACHING DESTINATION --
--
MANUAL CONTROLS WILL RESTORE MOMENTARILY --
--
--
He took another drag before closing the notification. "Thanks, K1."

The K1 Astromech, situated on the ships left flank, gave a series of ecstatic *beeps* in reply. Aden smiled and gripped the controls of his fighter. The stars abruptly came to a halt, thrusting the planet of Takodana in front of him.

-------------------- / / -- IN ORBIT -- / / --------------------
"Give the area a scan, K1."

The droid *buzzed* and began to work, uploading various streams of data back to Aden. Rumors had been circulating around the system of a cursed structure on this world, prompting him to investigate these claims. Even with his resignation from the Order, he still felt it was his duty to eradicate the taint of Darkness wherever it may be found.

Another alarm began to ring, this one indicating the detection of a ship.

He finished the last of his smoke and leaned forward, observing what information his K1 had gathered. The ship was a smaller figher-based craft. No more than a few people, if that. Aden ran his finger across the right panel, opening up a communication line.

"Anyone alive down there?"

The trip to Takodana had been rather uneventful, mercifully so as there was nothing Iona hated more then being stuck on ships, especially, crowded commercial flights. It had been rather easy to secure herself a flight to Takodana, it seemed it was a rather popular place and from her datapad, she could see why and she had been nearly bouncing in her seat to make planet fall. In an attempt, poor as it was, to distract herself, she had tried to read the mission brief, but after numerous giggles and sideways glances from the other passengers as she sounded out the words to herself, she had given up. Iona did have a general grasp of what she was supposed to be doing, help a fellow Padawan clear out old ruins of 'Ghost'. Obviously, ghost had to be some kind of uncreative smuggler or pirate name, so a normal name for them. She could almost remember her old masters talking about 'Ghost', but if she were being honest, she hadn't been listening as well as she should have during philosophical force discussions. Wasn't her fault, they were just dreadfully dull.... both the discussion and the old wizened master who tended to drone on. The only sticky part of the journey had been procuring a speeder. Many were more then happy to rent the young padawan one... until she mentioned where she was going. The old ruins were some kind of social taboo as she had to use some level of tact and persuasion to convince one kind old lady to let her borrow her speeder... Iona may have neglected to tell her where exactly she was going, but she would make it up to her... Probably.
But it had all been worth it. The second she step foot outside of the city, Iona fell in love. This planet was beyond anything she had ever seen before. The closest thing she had to compare to this wonder was Ciomia and she had yet to go to the grand forest that covered large parts of it, as much as she had dearly wished to, and outside of Ciomia, the only other place she had experience with was the undercity of Coruscant and to say this was like night and day was a disservice to Takodana. Everything about it was beautiful, the lush life, the animals she could feel through the force and who would poke their heads out to take a look at the stranger in their midst before going back on their way... The smells, by the force, the smells. Iona simply had nothing to compare it to, moisture, the dew of a thousand plants, the aroma of dozens of unknown flowers all bombarding her senses, and while she had a job to do, it could wait just a little while, she wanted to breath it all in, to engrave upon her memory of this lush place that she would take a bit of time to explore after the mission of slaying these uninviting Pirates was over.
Iona bent down, letting her fingers probe through the dense grass into the soil beneath, almost black in color, and she couldn't stop the large smile that spread across her face at the feel of it, the earthy smell and the thin layer of dirt that remained on her fingers, staining it with the life of this planet. A light laughter filled the air, and it took her a moment to realize it was coming from her and she reveled in it, lifting flowers to smell them, leaning her head against the trunks of nearby trees to see what she could hear from the heart.. and dirtying her robes and hair as she rolled in the wet grass to come to a stop and stare up into the great sapphire sky overhead, Iona knew one thing about this place... she truly loved this planet.
Repubelick.gif
After more time then she cared to admit to anyone playing in the dirt, Iona arrived at the meeting place, the coordinates of which had been sent to her awhile ago that she rather forgot about in her child like exploits. The large fighter, whatever it was Iona was terrible with those deathtraps and never bothered to learn their names and models, told her this was the right place even before she jumped off her borrowed speeder, but the person meditating on the ground was not what she expected. She had never seen one in person before, but that was a Mandalorian. Everyone knew what Mandalorians were,even she did before becoming a Jedi. The other gangers would talk about them, sometimes a Mandalorian, or many, would be hired by gangers as muscle and they were always frighteningly efficient. Once a small gang called the Meer Rats had angered a much larger gang over a territory dispute, they had hired a Mandalorian and the Meer Rats had been hunted down like dogs,even after the gang had lost its territory and many of its members had fled, the Mandalorian had found and captured each one, no matter where they hid in the dark reaches of Coruscant, the Mandalorian had even found their lovers and surviving family members, the Meer Rats were extinct in barely a week, of course, it wasn't too uncommon for a gang, or large group of people, to all die within the undercity, but the fact that one Mandalorian had done it so efficiently was... well, it wasn't something Iona had forgotten. But it didn't make this Mandalorian's presence any less confusing, she was supposed to be meeting a fellow Jedi, but she could not sense anyone else around and, well, the Mandalorian was the only one here and unless they wanted to ride on each other's laps, that ship only had room for one and as hilarious as she may have found that idea, she doubted its validity.
"Uh.." Iona said as intelligently as ever, "Vaun?" She asked, tilting her head and letting her red ponytail dangle over her shoulder, a few leaves still caught in it as her azure eyes studied the even bluer armor the Mandalorian wore.
[member="Mereel Vaun"]

Mereel was interrupted from his meditation by two sources simultaneously: a communication signal being detected by his helmet, and a woman's voice saying his last name.

He opened his eyes and saw a woman who looked to be in her early twenties staring down at him. She was wearing robes, and he could sense her presence distinctly in the force. He was almost 100% sure that it was the Jedi from the Order who was standing before him by sense alone, and her knowledge of his last name confirmed it.

He picked himself up from the grass and dusted a few clinging blades off of his armor. "Su'cuy ner vod. Hope the mission briefing didn't spook you too much."

He held his palm up for one second in a 'wait' gesture, and muted his helmet's external audio transmitter. He patched himself through on the commchannel that had contacted his fighter, "Two, both alive and well here. Just taking a little hike with the Missus is all."

He contemplated for a second how logical his lie would sound, but decided that it was a much better explanation than hunting down ghosts in an old decrepit castle. He muted himself on the commchannel and unmuted his external audio transmitter so he could talk to the woman again, "The castle is about a 3 kilometer hike south of here. We could take my fighter a bit closer if you'd like, but it'll draw more attention. Since this is a First Order planet, that might not be the best idea, but maybe they'll figure we're doing them a favor by clearing whatever is in that castle out."

[member="Iona Immarya"] | [member="Aden"]

Iona blinked once.. then twice, she had no idea what the first part of what he said was. She assumed it was a greeting, of some sorts, perhaps Mandalorian, did Mandalorians have their own language? They probably did. She knew of them, of course, but that was about as far as her knowledge went. At least it seems she had found the Jedi. A mandalorian Jedi, huh, she was certain there were probably odder Jedi out there, but this was the first time she had ever seen such a heavily armored Jedi... and one without a lightsaber. Iona squinted as she tried to see one, but, no, there was nothing. Just blasters, not that she minded, she was fond of them herself, but the lightsaber was almost a badge of office, and it was odd to see another Jedi that didn't have one.

She opened her mouth to tell him that a mission taking down a group of pirates childishly naming themselves 'ghost' was hardly going to frighten her but was stopped by her new travel companion. He wasn't sure why he stopped her, she couldn't sense anything nearby or approaching, but she waited... and tapped her foot as her natural impatient nature balked at the idea of waiting. They were in this wondrous world, filled with so much she had never seen before, and instead, she was waiting. It was almost enough to make her want to scream.

While the wait was only moments, to Iona, it felt so much longer, but whatever he had done was finally over and she pretended to give it consideration. Fly in that deathtrap in close quarters with someone in heavy armor, or, take a three mile hike through the beautiful planet countryside? But first, there was a question she couldn't help but ask, "Lets get walking, but.."

Iona held her hands out in front of her as if holding onto something, "Where is your, you know, vrummumm fvish!" She said imittating, poorly, the sound a lightsaber creates on ignition. In hindsight, she didn't know why she made the sound instead of just saying lightsaber, but, as it often did, her mouth ran faster then her mind could keep up.

[member="Mereel Vaun"]

He was slightly confused at first, and popped off his helmet to make sure his audio filters weren't deceiving him, "Did - did you just say words? In basic?"

Then her hand gestures connected the dots in his head, and he held back a chuckle, "Oh... osik. Nevermind, sorry I got it now."

He put his helmet back on and locked the seal with his armor suit's body glove. He began slowly walking through the forest with his rifle's safety off. The phantoms never left the castle the last time he was here, but he wasn't about to take any chances.

"Anyway, I never made a lightsaber. I never learned how to before -"

A tree overhead rustled, and he instinctively fired his rifle at the source of the movement. A dead Convor fell out of the tree. Osik, calm down. You're not in the castle yet.

[member="Iona Immarya"] | [member="Aden"]

Osik? That wasn't the lightsaber sound, sure, her's wasn't perfect, but it was closer then 'Osik'. Perhaps he just wasn't used to hearing one? After all, he didn't have one and that seemed likely, but he got her meaning so it was a success, although, Iona wanted to kick herself for not just saying lightsaber, would have saved herself from looking like an utter fool. Granted, looking like a fool was one of her rare talents, but it wasn't a talent she was overly fond of, but Vaun seemed to take it in stride so it wasn't all bad, and she even got to see his face! He looked.. surprisingly normal. Not that he wouldn't have, the odds favored him looking 'normal'. Lost in her musings on what was 'normal' and the likelihood of someone appearing 'normal', she missed him starting to head towards the ruins, not snapping out of her thought until he was already three yards ahead.

Half trotting and skipping, Iona closed the gap once more to hear his explanation, but before he could go to far in, he pivoted and swung his blaster rifle up, on pure instinct, Iona's saber flashed to her hand, but she did not ignite it. She hadn't felt anything around them besides the normal animals, so she wasn't quite sure what he shot at.. but the answer became known as a rather adorable creature crashed into the ground, the large hole in its chest cavity mulching whatever organs were in it.

"I think you got it," Iona said, "Good thing to, looked positivetly terrifying," she added unable to stop the barbed jest as she slid her saber back to her waist and started the treak towards the temple anew, "And because of what now?" She asked if he didn't just murder an adorable critter for no apparent reason.

[member="Mereel Vaun"]

He was currently glad that his helmet was hiding his face. He felt little disdain for actually shooting the bird, but the sudden outburst of blasterfire was an embarrassment, and Iona's jest only made him feel slightly worse about the whole ordeal.

Nonetheless, he followed behind her without taking another look at the dead critter, switching on the safety of his rifle as he walked. "Sorry about that, I thought it was one of the phantoms.."

He checked the surrounding tree line as they walked, and used the force and his armor's motion tracker to confirm what he saw with the mark one eyeball.

"I never finished learning how to create my lightsaber in the Republic's Jedi Order. The One Sith attacked Coruscant after my first week at the Temple."

He didn't sense the evil presence in the force yet. That was good, hopefully it meant that the ghosts hadn't left the castle walls.

"How'd you learn to make your laser stick? Remnant Order teacher or?"

[member="Iona Immarya"]

Phantoms? Iona thought they were calling themselves ghost. Were they specialist or scouts of these vagabonds? But why would they have been hiding in a tree this far out? Surely they would have established some kind of watch tower or defensive perimeter more advanced then 'stick that guy in a tree and give him a gun'.

She didn't say anything to his statement of the attack, she remembered it well, although, at the time she had been in the lower city and a street rat so hadn't seen too much of the fighter, but she knew the Temple had not fared well, she hadn't even considered the people that would have been fighting in that conflict. The younglings terrified within the halls as the sith came to try and kick down the door. The numbers of people that died screaming in plasma fire... Well, she was glad she wasn't near most of the fighting. So, she simply didn't saying anything, merely nodded to show she listened and understood.

"Made it on the day I was elevated to Padawan, one of the masters had us do it, most of us, myself included, aren't assigned to a senior Jedi, aren't enough of them... And I wasn't chosen, so we got a lightsaber and shoved out the door to... try and not die," Iona replied easily, thinking back to how it felt to watch the lightsaber forge itself before her, feeding on her force energy as she assembled it with her mind... It had taken her a few tries but it was all worth it when she ignited it and basked in the warm emerald glow. It was the first time she had ever truly created something and a mark that she had become something more then what she was before, that for once, she meant something. It was an indescribable feeling.

"You know," Iona said, pushing past a low hanging branch and stepping under it, "You could find help in making one at the temple. They sure come in handy like when you drop something and need to find it, also make excellent can openers and conversation starters," She joked.

[member="Mereel Vaun"]

He pushed on through the underbrush with Iona beside him, "I've always wanted my own can-opening glowrod."

He could now see a withered, half-destroyed buttress South of them, looming above the trees. The remaining bricks of the tower were darkened by heavy drapes of moss, serving as a reminder that this structure would eventually be totally reclaimed by the planet.

"Visual contact. Nothing climbing the walls by the look of it.. I didn't have any activity here last time until I entered the castle proper though."

His stomach churned at the thought of the monstrosities that awaited the duo.

"Maybe I'll make a trip to the Enclave after this. I think a lightsaber would be more useful here than anything in my arsenal."

He adjusted his march to the castle in relation to the half remaining buttress and his memory. He had entered the fortress through a breach in a wall near the courtyard the last time he was here. He planned on doing so again, the less unknown variables, the better.

He failed to remember an important detail about his last visit though. There were sunken tunnels filled with water that spread out underneath and away from the castle. He stepped onto an unsteady patch of ground below him, and the combined weight of his armor and himself buckled the roof of a cobblestone tunnel below him. He fell into the sinkhole, and landed in a tunnel filled a meter high with water.

[member="Iona Immarya"]

"They even come in various fashionable colors, for all your can opening needs," Iona said, more then happy to continue the light hearted banter. She hadn't expected the Mandalorian Jedi to be so quick with his own jokes, but then, she was basing that off... nothing.

She was about to talk of how well it can accentuate outfits when the words died in her throat as castle came into sight. Iona had never seen anything like it. Moss grew upon it like a plague, stretching over the dark stones and in places she could even see vines emerging from between the stones, breaking through the mortar. It was almost poetic, in a way, the death of civilization and the emergence of life, but that wasn't what she felt. The castle felt... wrong. The rest of the planet was warm and a buzz with life, the castle felt cold and distant, casting a shadow over the land around it.

"Yeah.." Iona answered absentmindedly as she stared at the dark structure as she struggled to find out why her instincts were screaming at her.

She turned to look at Vaun right when he plunged into the earth, her senses dulled by the dread of the castle, but her reflexes were as impressive as always as her hand shot out to grab him just missing him as he plunged into the darkness below. Of course, even if she had managed to grab him, Iona highly doubted she had the physical strength to do anything but be dragged down with him. Iona dropped on her stomach, peering into the darkness below her then, as they were just speaking about, she ignited her lightsaber, the distincit hissing filling the air as she held it aloft the tunnel to fill it with gentle green light.

"Anything broken besides your pride?" She asked doing her best to not smile at her comrades predicament. She certainly wasn't going down there. Wet robes were the worst.

[member="Mereel Vaun"]

He fell back first through the hole in the ground. His armor made him sink to the bottom of the water like a stone attached to an anchor. At least the body glove suit had held its seal.

His oxygen supply automatically kicked on and he struggled to resurface himself. His actions weren't panicked, but they might have looked it to an onlooker observing his plight. Standing up after being completely submerged in water with full beskar'gam on was a bit of a task. He got himself standing up straight when asked if he was alright in her own way.

He didn't feel like he had broken anything, but he wasn't about to let her pride comment slip so easily, "I think I broke my tongue. Might want to check that out later.."

"Other than that though, I think I'm fine. Get clear of that breach, I'm coming up."

He tried activating his jetpack, but instead of seeing flames shooting out of the bottom of the pack, he just saw some sparks shoot out.

"Osik. Di'kut told me it was waterproof."

He looked back up to [member="Iona Immarya"]. "Looks like I might have broke my jetpack too."

He turned on his helmet's flashlights and examined his surroundings, the tunnel he was in seemed like a singular tube that extended in a straight line until vanishing into darkness in front of and behind him. He could immediately think of three solutions to his problem, two of which might have been feasible, the third was something he absolutely did not even want to consider.

He decided to go with plan A, which was a longshot, but maybe there was a chance it would work. After all, Iona had built her own lightsaber. "This might be a crazy question, but do you think you can give me a lift with the force?"

Appearing out of nowhere standing behind the two as he watched the Mandalorian fall but the woman remained " Hello there, " he hands were on his waist he stood there as he heard the man yell about lifting someone with the force " Force-sensitive are you, that's good ".

[member="Mereel Vaun"] | [member="Iona Immarya"] |

Iona started to back away from the hole, still on her stomach when the jetpack sparked and then died, and against her normal character, she bit off her joke about a 'failure to launch'. Iona leaned a bit further into the hole, using her saber to cast more light as she tried in vain to look for a way he could get back up to the surface, but she found none. She was about to suggest he simply leap out, as she would have done, when he asked her to pull him up with the force, and it clicked, he may not know how to amp his body with the force yet, his training was more limited then her own.

She bit the bottom of her lip as she considered it. She had lifted heavier boulders then him in training, but those were boulders, this was a living being, it was harder to use the force on them... He would also be heavier thanks to his armor and possibly wet clothes dragging him down further, but maybe.. "Well, let's find out.." Iona said, leaning even further into the maw as she extended her free left hand to him and drew upon her reserves off strength when a voice behind her shocked her, she hadn't sensed the beings approach as she was too focused on Vaun and the dark castle ahead was still casting the shadow, dampening her senses.

Iona had time to let out a loud Eep! as she tumbled down into the darkness as her lightsaber shut off, the reflex to deactivate it when such events happened long ingrained into her body from her training as she plummeted into the murky water below. In moments, her head and upper torso exploded out from the water, her hair damp against her face and her wet robes slowing her down as she struggled out of the outer layer of it, "What is wrong with you!" She shouted up at the hole, not able to see whom was up there, "You don't just sneak up on someone bending over a hole! I mean what!? Did you walk through the forest and go, 'Hey, look a random woman leaning over a hole, lets sneak up on her and be creepy.' Who does that!?"

Finally, Iona won her struggle against the outer layer of her robe, letting it sink to the bottom of the water, still in a foul mood at having been spooked into the creepy tunnel by someone sneaking up on her in a creepy place saying creepy stuff and now she was soaking wet. Did they have any idea how long it took her hair to dry? No, she doubted it.

Iona closed her eyes and took a deep breath trying to center herself before her eyes snapped open, why was someone outside of the castle they were trying to clear out of 'Ghost', she felt like a fool, this was probably one of those deranged pirates and she looked to Vaun before jerking her head at the opening willing to follow his lead on this now that her head had, quite literally, been cooled.

Standing next to the hole he leaned over looking into the hole seeing both people listening as she ranted " You shouldn't be in a place like this anyway it's dangerous " he pulled a glowstick out of his pocket cracking it and throwing it down the hole to see how far of a drop " Do you guys need assistance to get back out "

"So much for not getting your robes wet.."

He extended his arm to the woman to help her up, and looked up through the opening in the earth.

He didn't see who was talking to them, but raised his voice so whoever was on the other side could hear him, "I certainly wouldn't be opposed to any help."

As he finished speaking, he could have swore he felt something brush up against his armored boot. He looked at Iona, "Hey, uhh, you didn't just kick my right foot did you?"

He felt something latch onto his left foot. Whatever it was, it gave his boot a light tug. His resistance to the tug prompted the creature to tighten its grip.

Mereel resisted further as he tried to remember her name from the mission briefing.

"Your name is Iona right? Iona, something is latched onto my boot - and I think it's kriffing big. I don't know if I move to dr- "

The creature pulled again, this time completely dragging Mereel off of his feet and forcing him under the water.

It began dragging him down the water tunnel in the direction towards the castle. He frantically tried to draw his blaster pistol from its holster with his right hand.

Meanwhile, he extended the wrist blade on his left gauntlet. As the creature dragging him rounded a corner, he lodged the blade into a patch of dirt in the mostly cobble wall, and he suddenly felt extreme strain on his foot. He finally pulled the blaster from its holster, and fired three rounds at the life form.

The creature let go of his boot, and he sensed it flee off into the tunnels. He walked back around the corner, and shined his helmet flashlights down the passageway. He couldn't see Iona anymore, but he knew that she had to still be in the same tunnel.

He jacked up the volume on his helmet's external audio transmitter, and hoped that the woman was still close enough to hear him, "Still alive. For the love of the force, please still be in here, I don't think I killed the boot monster."

"Har har," Iona said rolling her eyes. Yes, so much for not getting her robes wet. Iona tugged on her vest, sniffed it and was blasted with the stench of stale water, mold and more then a few smells she couldn't discern and knew she did not want to know. She was never going to get the smells out, she just knew it and couldn't wait to hear what the masters had to say about this one, what pearl of wisdom they would smack her over the head with and make her feel like more of a fool then she already did. Being a Jedi was not good for the self-confidence, but that was probably the point.

She looked up at the hole as the mysterious man offered help, maybe he wasn't so bad after all, and yelled to the person, "I can jump out but.." She paused when Vaun started to speak to her,

"What? Yeah, that's it," Iona said as she confirmed her name before she frowned at him, "That's not funny," really, what kind of joke was that? They were in a creepy series of tunnels by a creepy castle, the last thing she wanted to think about was something under the water and jump at any sounds or slight touches. Then with a sudden splash of water, he was gone.

Well, not gone, she could see the ripples of displaced water as something dragged Vaun away and while her instincts, finely honed from years in the lower city of Coruscant and had kept her alive her entire life said to get out of the tunnels, she found herself running after him and falling behind as she struggled to push her body through the water, "Vaun!" She yelled down the hallway as the waves disappeared around the corner.

'Don't be dead, don't be dead..' The thought kept repeating itself in her mind, a mixture of worry for her new found comrade and fellow Jedi as well as fear from the idea of being left alone in this place.

The corner was so blasted far away and the water impeded her progress down to a snail's pace, already her legs were starting to feel like rubber from fighting the current, then she heard it. Loud and echoed, but it was the most beautiful thing she could have heard at that moment, Vaun calling to her and she could make out the lights further down the tunnel, "Yes! I'm coming! Are you okay?! Where did it go!?" She yelled back and realzed she was likely out of range for his light, so she ignited her lightsaber, the green glow illuminating the area around her and framing her in emerald light.

Looking into the deep hole still " Well go ahead and jum- " right as he said that he heard a massive thrash before he no longer heard the man's voice he then heard the woman yell for him and hear her running away " Always gotta be difficult " pulling his lightsaber from his back he ignited it the red glow lighting the surrounding area as he leaped down the hole landing in water " I'm mostly water resistant " he followed the two beings down the tunnel he was much faster than the woman as his cybernetics enhanced his speed underwater they would, of course, shortout if in direct contact with water but his suit protected from this as long as he didn't dive underneath " Hello, where did you guys go " he continued trying to catch up with the two beings he had yet to lay eyes on them except for the woman who he barely saw.

A third dim, green light joined the twin white lights of his helmet in the dark. He walked toward her as she trudged through the water.

As he got within a few feet of her, he dimmed his helmet's lights so he could look at Iona without blinding her, and turned down his audio transmitter's volume. He cocked his helmet sideways, "Did you miss me?"

He looked back over his shoulder, and tried reaching out into the force and sensed only darkness. "Don't know where that thing went, but I don't think it was one of the ghosts. They don't give up that easily."

He turned back to look at her, and saw the man stepping into the glow of the emerald blade. He was wearing a strange red armor, and had grey hair on the top of his head. "Unless you want to keep wandering around aimlessly in this muck, we should probably get back topside. I don't know my way around these tunnels."

Now walking up on the two one of them had a lightsaber out green most definitely a Jedi this didn't bother Rosso much as he was not a Sith yes he used the dark side to aid in his battles but he did not want chaos or alot of death like the Sith Rosso just wanted power and love of his friends thats all unlike the sith and most dark side users he can choose his fate the darkside does not control him he does not kill and rob anyone to get what he wants like most dark side user's dont get it wrong he can be savage and straight mercyless but that part rarely comes out of him " That would be best for everyone " raising his lightsaber for light he turns and starts the way they came leading the way.
