Description: This bone amulet was given to Naimes ahn Dross by the Shaman of the village he encountered during his exploration of planet SE-2 in the Companion Esk galaxy. The amulet is a piece of polished bone with several small markings carved into its surface. It was presented to Naimes by the Shaman in trade after the Mandalorian supplied the primitive inhabitants of the village with Blaster Rifles to assist in their daily turmoil on the snow covered planet.
The Amulet can be worn as a necklace. It requires extremely even minor force sensitivity to use. When activated by a force sensitive individual it will point the way to the nearest source of edible food by growing subtly warmer the closer its wearer comes to the source. The food the amulet detects can be either vegetation or protein it does not make any differentiation. If the food source is animal protein there is also no guarantee it will be deceased, hunters often have to kill to survive, however the amulet will generally direct the wearer to a prey animal when meat protein is the closest available source of food.
The Amulet is activated innately when its wearer becomes starved or distressed due to lack of food. It can also activate if the wearer is actively searching for food.
Aside from the above mentioned ability to detect a source of edible food the amulet has no other special properties. Non force sensitive individuals will find that the amulet is merely a polished and well maintained trinket craft of bone.
