- Lightshow: The arm Gil Horn crafted for himself uses a mixture of cortosis as the main element, with a layer of Chromium coating on top of it. Combined, there protective substances allow Gil to have resistance to lightsabers and blaster shots to a limited degree.

Following the loss of his arm during the Adras Incident, Gil Horn took time to try and 'find' himself once again. He went on several trips across the galaxy, often without medical approval from the Jedi Temple, and met many people. In time, he came to accept the loss he felt, both physical and psychologically, and so he set his mind to replacing the lost limb. Making use of the New Jedi Order's supplies at the Jedi Temple, Gil Horn spent several days tinkering with a basic arm, adding on layers of cortosis and chromium metals to make the final product viable in combat situations.
