Friday night and I need a fight

Location: Zeltros - Club Venus
Objective: Apprehend Spice Dealing Scum
Tags: Valery Noble Valery Noble

In the pulsating heart of Zeltros, where neon lights bled into the inky blackness of the outer rim, Club Venus was the place to be. A sprawling den of sin, decadence, and spice-fueled euphoria, the club had a reputation for drawing in those who lived on the edge, and it was here that Jedi Master Katarine Ryiah had found herself—undercover, of course. For weeks, she'd been tracking the elusive spice dealer Davorik Zaal, a criminal mastermind rumored to be at the center of the galaxy's most dangerous drug trade. His poison, glittering and deadly, flowed freely through the underworld, and it was up to Katarine to stop it before its grip tightened any further.

But to catch a dealer of Zaal's caliber, Katarine had to blend in, to become part of the underworld herself. And what better place to do that than Club Venus, a well-known nexus for illicit trade and pleasure? Katarine had always been a master of stealth and subterfuge, but this mission was testing the limits of her discipline. She was no stranger to the undercover work a Jedi had to perform. This wasn't even the first time she'd gone undercover as a dancer. Her flowing black attire was replaced by barely-there sequins and shimmering fabric, her calm Jedi demeanor replaced by the carefully cultivated allure of a performer.

Her assignment was simple: keep Zaal in sight, get close, gather intel, and don't blow your cover. The Force would guide her, just as it always did.

Tonight, however, something unexpected was in store. As the lights dimmed and the crowd's restless energy rose to a fever pitch, Katarine was called to the stage. She was supposed to be performing a dance with another stripper, something the club often did. With practiced grace, she stepped forward, her senses tuned to the atmosphere around her—every glance, every whisper, every touch of the crowd. The music throbbed, a mix of deep bass and ethereal tones, designed to electrify and seduce. But as she approached the shimmering curtain of the stage, something caught her off guard—another presence. The Force buzzed with familiarity, though it was masked by the swirling emotions of lust, anger, and intoxication in the room. Mile high heels hit the stage as the music started and her deep green eyes widened slightly in shock.

The other stripper... was none other than Jedi Master Valery Noble!

HAIuSyi.png
The pounding bass of the music thrummed through Valery's body as she stepped onto the stage, her fiery amber eyes scanning the crowd below. The sequins of her midnight-black outfit caught the shifting neon lights, casting glimmers of gold and silver across her figure. A high-slit skirt flowed with her movements, revealing long legs accentuated by thigh-high boots that clicked against the stage with every step. Her top, a daring arrangement of shimmering fabric and delicate straps, left little to the imagination but just enough to spark intrigue — an outfit designed to mesmerize and captivate, to blend into the underworld's den of decadence.

Her hair was swept into loose waves, framing her face and cascading over her shoulders in a way that added to the air of practiced allure she carried. Every step, every sway of her hips, was deliberate, meant to draw attention and keep the eyes of the crowd fixed on her. The fiery Jedi Master had spent weeks in this role, undercover to gather intel on a dangerous spice operation. But tonight, as she approached the shimmering curtain of the stage, the Force rippled with a sense of familiarity that caught her off guard.

Valery's steps faltered for a split second — a moment so brief it would have gone unnoticed by most. But when her fiery amber eyes locked onto the emerald green of another Jedi Master, her composure almost cracked. The sight of Katarine Ryiah Katarine Ryiah in her own glittering outfit left Valery momentarily stunned. Of all places, of all people...

What are the odds? she thought, considering the barash vow, though she couldn't suppress the faint blush that rose to her cheeks.

Recovering quickly, Valery's lips curved into a sly smirk, her amber eyes glinting with a mix of surprise and amusement. She extended a hand toward Katarine, the playful gleam in her gaze hinting at her quick adaptation to the unexpected situation.

"Well," Valery said, her voice low and smooth, just loud enough to be heard over the music. "This is... a surprise. I didn't know another was on this case."

Her smirk deepened as she stepped closer, offering a faint wink. "You ready, partner?"

She kept her hand extended, her demeanor effortlessly sliding back into the role of performer. Beneath the carefully cultivated allure, though, her mind raced with questions — not least of which was how they'd ended up on the same stage in this tangled web of intrigue. But for now, there was only one thing to do: play their parts and stay in control of the mission.

Katarine wanted to let her jaw hit the floor as she stared at the taller form of Valery Noble. What was the Grandmaster doing here of all places? Katarine knew that Valery had once been a Jedi Shadow but investigating the underworld didn't seem like it was in the wheel house of the New Jedi Order. That was partially why Katarine left. She didn't feel like she fit in. Was she mistaken? That was a good question. A better question was Kat actually going to do a sultry dance on stage with the Grandmaster of the entire New Jedi Order, and her own personal friend? She felt her cheeks burn a the thought.

"You ready, partner?"

The honest answer was no. The appearance of her friend and a Jedi she considered of be one of the greatest this age had seen complicated this mission. Her deep green eyes flickered with uncertainty and traveled past the slit in the curtain towards the crowd. There was the scum who dealt the spice that had been responsible for a string of young deaths throughout the clubs. Katarine felt a rush of determination as she saw his swarmy face.

The music started and the curtains lifted. Katarine took a deep breath and without answering Valery's question she suddenly grabbed the other woman and dipped her low, maintaining a passionate and fierce eye contact as the crowd, including their target started to roar over the pulsing beat.

The music surged as the curtains lifted, and Valery's fiery amber eyes widened briefly as Katarine's hand grasped her, pulling her into a sudden, dramatic dip. For the barest of moments, she forgot the crowd, the mission, and the suffocating heat of the planet. All that existed was the intense green gaze that locked with hers, fierce and unwavering, igniting a tension that rippled through her like an electric current.

Her cheeks flushed, a soft pink hue rising against her usual composure, but Valery wasn't one to shy away from a challenge. The smirk tugged at her lips again, her hand instinctively gripping Katarine's arm for balance. Her other arm extended gracefully above her, the sequins of her outfit catching the lights like tiny stars as the bass of the music pulsed through the stage.

"Well, you didn't waste any time, did you?" she murmured, her voice smooth and tinged with playful intrigue as Katarine pulled her upright again.

With the crowd roaring their approval, Valery stepped into the rhythm of the music, her movements fluid and deliberate. She swayed her hips in time with the beat, her hands grazing Katarine's shoulders as she spun around her, the fabric of her skirt flaring to reveal long legs that moved with precision and grace. Her back brushed against Katarine's chest briefly before she turned again, their faces close, her fiery amber gaze locking with emerald.

The proximity made her heart race, the intensity of the moment heightened by the cheers and whistles of the crowd below. This wasn't just a dance anymore — it was a game of unspoken communication, a carefully crafted performance meant to captivate and distract. Every step, every turn, every sway was a calculated move, designed to keep the eyes of their target fixed on them and away from the true purpose of their presence here.

Valery slid a hand down Katarine's arm as she pivoted, her body arching slightly before she turned her head to glance over her shoulder, her amber eyes glinting with mischief. "I hope you're keeping up," she teased, her voice carrying just enough breathlessness to sound both alluring and daring.

As the music built to its crescendo, Valery moved closer again, this time pressing a hand lightly against Katarine's side to guide her into another spin. Their movements synchronized as if they had practiced this a hundred times, a perfect blend of fluidity and control that set the stage ablaze with energy.

"And eyes on our target already?" she whispered as they moved within less than an inch of each other again.

Their dance became an intricate game of push and pull, their bodies drawing closer only to retreat again, as though testing the limits of the other's resolve. The rhythm quickened, their movements more daring, each gesture more deliberate as they closed the distance between themselves and the object of their mission. With a graceful spin, Katarine's hand brushed against Valery's, and the two women converged in perfect synchronization, a stunning display of fluidity that left the crowd breathless.

Katarine was surprised how easily the dance came. Valery was an amazing partner to draw off of and it was as if they had practiced this a thousand times together. Their bodies worked in tandem, Valery's voluptuous fire fueling Katarines own brand of simmering magnetism. They were two halves moving together, each playing a role to keep their target at ease and off guard.

"And eyes on our target already?"

They moved closer together, their bodies pressed tightly as they dipped lower to the music.

"Bodyguard, two paces behind."

Katarine whispered the words softly in her partners ear then she and Valery broke apart again, hopefully drawing the other Jedi's attention to a Trandoshan enjoy the show who seemed to be operating as Davorik's personal protection for the night. If they made a move from the stage they would need to be wary of him as well as the spice dealer, thought Katarine was not sure of the plan any longer. They could act from the stage or they could try to persuade the scum to retreat to one of the private rooms and risk less collateral damage.

HAIuSyi.png
The rhythm of the music thrummed through Valery's body, her movements flowing with an almost hypnotic grace as she met Katarine's lead. The connection between them felt electric, every turn and sway a delicate balance of tension and trust. Their dance had become its own kind of battle — one not of blades or Force powers but of magnetism, allure, and raw precision.

When Katarine leaned in, her whisper tickling Valery's ear, the Grandmaster tilted her head slightly, allowing her fiery amber gaze to flick toward the Trandoshan lurking two steps behind their target. Her smirk remained in place, though her eyes sharpened, assessing the situation even as her body moved seamlessly in time with her partner's. They were dangerous.

As they dipped and separated again, Valery spun lightly on her heels, her hair catching the neon lights as she came up behind Katarine. Her hands, soft yet deliberate, traced over the other Jedi's form, sliding from her shoulders to the curve of her waist and lingering a moment longer over her hips before trailing lower. Valery's touch was careful, teasingly slow, but every movement was part of the act, designed to keep their audience entranced.

She leaned close, her lips just brushing the shell of Katarine's ear as she whispered, her voice low and sultry, "We need to single him out. We can't move with the whole crowd watching."

Pulling away just enough to make it part of the dance, Valery let her hand slide over Katarine's lower back as she stepped around her, letting the teasing tension between them linger in the air. She pivoted on her heel and strutted toward the edge of the stage, her hips swaying with deliberate exaggeration as she moved into the spotlight. Every step was calculated, every motion designed to draw eyes — and more importantly, the attention of their target.

When she reached the edge of the stage, Valery bent forward slightly, letting the lights glint off her sequined outfit as her hands glided sensually along the curves of her body. She locked her amber gaze onto their target, her lips curving into a playful smirk as she bit her lower lip, the universal symbol of intrigue and invitation. One hand extended forward, pointing directly at him with an almost imperceptible crook of her finger.

Come here.

The energy in the room shifted, the crowd roaring louder at her daring display. Valery tilted her head just enough to let her hair fall in cascading waves, the motion catching the light before she tossed it back with a seductive shake. Her hips swayed again as she turned slightly, her gaze shifting over her shoulder to meet Katarine's green eyes. The smirk returned, this time tinged with playful mischief as she gave her booty a teasing shake.

All of it was an act — a carefully crafted illusion to pull their mark into their trap. But the tension that simmered between her and Katarine felt real, adding a layer of authenticity to their performance that no amount of rehearsal could replicate. Now it was time to see if their gamble would pay off.

The dance was hypnotic, with both Jedi moving gracefully and deliberately. The crowds eyes were glued to the stage, their calls of approval pushing the two women forward. Katarine was surprised how easily Valery fell into the role. She’d seen this woman lead crowds of soldiers, take down powerful Sith and show compassion for injured students, all with a fiery strength and confidence Katarine envied. Valery was like a many layered dessert, and Katarine was starting to see the inner layers were more dangerous than she could ever have guessed.

As Valery stepped into the spotlight Katarine became a shadow, her movements pushing the burning woman forward. She noted the booty shake and smirked, wondering what Master Khalil would say when he found out what Katarine had been doing with his wife. Kat probably had a lot of chore duty coming in her future. Despite that it was difficult not to feel some envy of her dancing partner. Valery was a woman who drew all eyes to her the moment she entered a room, and right now Kats own deep green ones couldn’t seem to go anywhere else.

The Grandmasters invitation was too intoxicating to pass up. The spice dealer joined the stage, with the crowd cheering ever louder. Katarine saw the bouncers tense, clearly they didn’t like it when the dancers went off script, but the crowd was so into the performance that they didn’t dare stop it.

Katarine wiggled her way over to her partner, her eyes an electric buzz of tension and preparation. She ran her hands over the other Jedi’s shoulder artfully, giving a slight gentle squeeze to indicate she was ready before she trailed lower. The spice dealer was mesmerized by the scene so close to him.

Wait until he saw what happened next.

HAIuSyi.png
Valery's amber eyes glimmered with satisfaction as the spice dealer took the bait, stepping onto the stage with an air of overconfidence and intrigue. She could feel Katarine's presence drawing closer, the soft touch on her shoulders sending a ripple of energy through her. The silent squeeze was all she needed to know they were ready.

Turning her head slightly, Valery allowed her fiery gaze to meet Katarine's electric green eyes, her lips curling into a smirk that dripped with playful mischief. The crowd roared louder, the atmosphere electric, as Valery arched her back slightly and let her movements flow with the pulsing rhythm of the music. Her confidence never faltered, every sway of her hips and flick of her hair calculated to keep their audience entranced.

She leaned in close to Katarine, her lips brushing just near her ear as her voice carried above the thrum of the music, "I think it's time we take this somewhere more private." Their target had fallen for their little act, so now all that remained was to single him out and finish the job.

Her tone was alluring, teasing, yet carried the weight of their intent beneath the act. With a lingering glance toward the spice dealer, Valery stepped away, trailing her fingers lightly along Katarine's arm as she moved. Her gaze locked onto the dealer's, her smirk deepening as she extended a hand toward him in silent invitation.

The crowd's cheers swelled, urging the performance on as Valery pivoted on her heel, her movements bold and deliberate as she led the way toward the edge of the stage.

Their trap was set, and their prey had taken the bait. It was time to spring it.

The electrifying song ended with the crowd begging for an encore but the Jedi had bigger fish to fry. They lead the spice dealer off the stage with deliberate movements, each step a deadly calculated one meant to entice and keep their prey following them. As they passed by the Trandoshin bodyguard the spice dealer held up his hand, indicating he was fine to go alone. Katarine smirked and kept walking. They lead Davorik Zaal through the club, twisting and turning through dancers and other party goers, back to the blue diamond room, a private area for dances and other sins.

As soon as they entered the room the their eyes adjusted to the low lighting. Black velvet curtains covered the walls, and in the center a large round place to sit with a pole set up in front of it. The music in here was softer, but still a mixture of electric pulse and sensual sounds. Davorik walked into the room like he knew the place well and began to pour himself a drink for the decanter near the wall.

"Now ladies... what can I do for you?" He turned to face them, a grin forming on his face.

HAIuSyi.png

Valery followed Davorik into the blue diamond room, her fiery eyes scanning the space with a deliberate slowness that masked her growing anticipation. The low lighting, the velvet curtains, the soft thrum of the music — it was all designed to lower guards and heighten indulgence. Perfect for the type of man they were dealing with.

As Davorik poured himself a drink, Valery exchanged a fleeting glance with Katarine, her smirk subtle but loaded with meaning. They were still playing the part, but the pieces of their plan were falling perfectly into place.

When Davorik turned to face them, his grin exuding confidence, Valery stepped closer, her movements fluid and deliberate. Her hand brushed lightly over one of the chairs as she circled him, her fiery gaze locking onto his.

"Oh, I think it's more about what we can do for you," she said, her voice dripping with allure. She allowed herself a coy smile, her fingers trailing over the edge of the table near the decanter.

Valery stopped beside him, leaning slightly to pick up a second glass. She poured herself a drink, swirling the amber liquid gently before lifting it to her lips. The action was slow, calculated, each motion meant to draw his attention further.

"But..." she added, her tone shifting slightly, a hint of edge beneath the playfulness, "That all depends on you, doesn't it?"

She placed the glass back down, barely touched, and leaned back slightly, her posture relaxed but her presence radiating control. "You seem like a man with... opportunities. Resources. Someone who could make things happen."

Her smile widened, teasing. "So tell me, Davorik. What's a man like you looking for in this club tonight?"

While she spoke, Valery subtly let her senses extend into the Force, gauging his emotions and any sign of deception or tension. All the while, her proximity to Katarine kept their silent coordination intact. They were poised to strike, ready to turn the tables the moment the spice dealer slipped.

“Oh I have resources alright sweet cheeks. I own the drug trade in this town. Nobody moves anything without my say so.”

He sat down on the small sofa and kicked his feet up, then lit a cigar in a self satisfied way. Katarine could not believe someone could be so arrogant but this man was swimming in it. He seemed so satisfied with himself even as he poured more drinks and offered them to the ladies.

“I’m looking for a night I’ll never forget. I’ve got the credits. So let’s make it happen. Three style.”

HAIuSyi.png

Valery's fiery amber eyes lit up with feigned excitement, a grin spreading across her lips as Davorik settled himself on the sofa, his arrogance practically dripping off him. She exchanged a quick glance with Katarine, her smirk almost imperceptible as they wordlessly coordinated their next move.

"A night you'll never forget?" Valery purred, her voice oozing enthusiasm. She stepped closer to him, her gaze flicking briefly to the fluffy pink cuffs that rested nearby. "Oh, we can absolutely make that happen, can't we, Kat?"

She reached for the cuffs, twirling them playfully in her hand as she circled the sofa, her heels clicking softly against the floor. Davorik's grin widened as he puffed on his cigar, completely oblivious to the trap closing in around him.

"Now, Davorik," she continued, her voice low and teasing, "If you really want the full experience, you'll need to sit back, relax, and let us take care of everything."

The spice dealer chuckled, reclining further into the plush sofa, clearly convinced he was about to have the time of his life.

Valery's smile sharpened as she stopped behind him, her presence radiating confidence and control. With a fluid motion, she leaned down and snapped one cuff around his wrist. The click was subtle but firm.

Davorik blinked in confusion, his grin faltering for the first time. "Wait, what—?"

Before he could react, Valery swiftly cuffed his other wrist to the armrest of the sofa, her grin widening into a triumphant smirk. She stepped back, brushing her hands off dramatically as Katarine moved in to stand beside her.

"Well, Davorik," Valery said, her tone now cool and commanding, "I'd say this is a night you won't forget, but not for the reasons you were hoping."

She crossed her arms, her fiery gaze locking onto Katarine as she tilted her head. "Looks like we've got our guy, Kat. Shall we get to work?" The act had dropped entirely, leaving only two confident Jedi and a very surprised and now immobilized spice dealer.

Katarine loved this part so much. The moment when the criminal realized they had done messed up and their world came crashing around them was one of the best highs the galaxy could offer. She smirked and stood next to Valery, noting the pink cuffs with a slight eyebrow raise. Where had those come from? Were those from Val's personal closet? She grinned.

"Looks like we've got our guy, Kat. Shall we get to work?"

Katarine grinned and nodded, folding her arms over her chest. "I'd say so. Davorik Zaal you are under arrest for the distribution of illegal narcotics. "

She read the scum his rights, which she memorized by this time. She was happy to see that in the nine hundred years of stasis those rights hadn't changed much. She'd hate to have to memorize them again. Predicatively Davorik started begging and trying to bribe his way out of this, but she ignored him and continued with the rights reading.

When she was finished she turned to Valery with a playful smile on her lips. "We make a good team. I was shocked to see you up there."

HAIuSyi.png

Valery noticed Katarine's raised brow at the cuffs and squinted back at her, feigning offense as she placed a hand on her hip. "What? You don't carry fluffy pink cuffs in your emergency supplies? Some Jedi you are," she quipped, her fiery eyes sparkling with mischief.

As Katarine continued with the rights reading, Valery leaned casually against the edge of the sofa, her grin widening at Davorik's increasingly desperate attempts to talk his way out of the situation. By the time Kat finished, Valery's smirk had settled into something softer, amused but confident.

When Katarine turned to her with that playful smile, Valery chuckled and shrugged. "I was shocked too, honestly," she admitted. "But I figured... if I'm going to make a spectacle of myself, might as well go all in. Plus," she added with a sly grin, "I didn't realize how much fun it could be. Turns out I'm not half bad at it."

She gave Katarine a wink before straightening up and brushing imaginary dust off her hands. "Alright, as much fun as this has been, we should probably wrap things up. The last thing we need is for someone to start poking around and asking too many questions."

She gestured for Kat to follow her lead and flashed her a grin. "We do make a good team. Let's finish strong."

Katarine chuckled at the fluffy pink cuffs comment. Maybe she needed to get her a pair. Considering her abysmal love life it couldn't hurt. Valery was right that she had a natural talent for the underworld shenanigans an investigator got up to. Katarine did as well. The underworld was where Katarine thrived, especially considering the blood mutation that made it difficult for her to deal with Sith.

"You know if I'm going to keep running into you on assignments I may as well renounce my Barash Vow and come back. This work seems to be my calling."

She pulled the criminal up by his arms and pushed him forward, ready to lead him out of the club.

"Besides I may want to borrow those cuffs so ... you know.... should be close."
She winked at Valery and pushed the criminal forward.

HAIuSyi.png
Valery couldn't help but laugh, her eyes sparkling with amusement at Katarine's playful comments. "Really? You know, we'd always welcome you back." she paused and chuckled, "I didn't realize I was that persuasive though. Must be the cuffs." She twirled the fluffy pink cuffs on her finger for dramatic effect, clearly reveling in the banter.

As Katarine hauled Davorik up and gave him a shove forward, Valery crossed her arms and tilted her head, an exaggerated smirk playing on her lips. "You know," she said, her tone mockingly serious, "If you want to borrow the cuffs, you just have to ask. But fair warning — I expect them returned in mint condition."

She winked at her partner and gestured toward the exit. "Come on, let's get Mr. Big Shot here into custody. I think I've had enough of this club for one lifetime."

Davorik grumbled something under his breath, and Valery raised a brow. "You have something to add, Davorik? No? Good. Let's go."
