“I don't think of all the misery, but of the beauty that still remains.”

A native of the lush world of Naboo, Giselle grew up in a house full of siblings and parents who loved them all dearly. The middle child of the bunch, she learned responsibility early in her life, as it fell to her to look after her youngest sister when the older members of the family were away. And when it was her turn, at last, to leave the nest behind, her nomadic spirit took her far and wide, setting her course to travel through the galaxy in search of direction.

She discovered her natural love for others rather early on in her twenties and ultimately joined the service industry, where she worked as a bartender in a number of different cantinas and casinos alike, always moving to try and stay ahead of the war efforts that threatened to consume the galaxy. Like most young adults, she found herself head over heels for another, and ultimately, the pair were married with hopes to start a small family of their own.

But alas, in a galaxy as unstable as theirs, it was not to be so.

Doing his duty, her husband, Dorian, enlisted in the Stormtrooper Corps. His assignments uprooted their life in a constant rhythm, though she didn't mind this, and embraced it for what it was, adapting to the changes as they came. Serving The Sith Empire initially, Dorian defected with the contingent that ultimately became the New Imperial Order, and once more, Giselle went with him in support. While never a soldier herself, she was a regular volunteer in a number of clinics and relief efforts, always aiming to do what she could to help boost morale and assist the other civilians of the worlds torn asunder by conflict.

When she received word that her husband was slain in combat, time seemed to stop for her, leaving her standing alone on the periphery of things she didn't entirely understand. Though, after some time had passed, she pulled herself back together and set about making the best of what she still had left. Taking initiative, she settled on Bastion once it had been deemed free from the war, and opened up a bar to return to her passion.

'Traveler's Rest', she coined the modest place, though it had no official name of its own, a small building located in the outskirts of Ravelin, away from the greater bustle of the city and tucked away on a surprisingly quiet street. It was there she moved into the apartment above the actual bar and started arranging her life back to the way she wished it to be.

The bar grew to be moderately successful, with word of it spreading mostly via mouth, it gained a reputation as a quiet reprieve for locals and travelers alike to visit to unwind for drinks after long days of work, free from the noise of the rowdy city. A large part of its reputation stems from Giselle's tender, temperant behavior, and tendency to get to know her customers, taking time out of her night to chat with those she serves and make them feel welcome.

With a kind heart, hardened determination, and deeply calm demeanor, Giselle is every bit of a hard worker and the girl-next-door rolled into one. Standing at average height for her kind and boasting a modest build accentuated by the lean muscle of regular routine, she's a far cry from the stereotypical bartender. Her facial features are soft, and her expressions often tender, an image that almost achieves a humorous level of angelical parallel when combined with the pale blonde tresses crowning her head. Contrasting her fair skin, tattoos depicting floral arrangements, birds, and even other planets wrap around the entirety of her right arm, stopping at the wrist, to create a mural of colorful artwork offering insight into her adventures in life. While these are initially the only tattoos one may see on her, a much smaller tattoo can be seen on the side of her neck when her hair is brushed aside- a strange string of numerical digits.

Giselle often wears a slender silver hoop in her left nostril and stud earrings in both of her lobes.

Naturally, she has a gentle spirit, and is often soft-spoken, though she is more than capable of asserting herself when it becomes required of her and has no issues doing so. A friendly, supportive face in a crowd of callousness, Giselle will always go out of her way to lend a hand to a person in need or strike up a conversation to get to know someone.
