Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled facts about Hoth

So every once in awhile, people take a stab at collecting the high points of Chaos lore for a given planet. Sometimes crowdsourcing gets involved, and that generally works best. The Codex is trying to make this happen for some iconic settings, and I'll be covering Hoth over the next few weeks. Rationale: I’m Canadian and we know our snow.

I've spoken with [member="Samka Derith"] in the First Order, looked at some approved subs, and taken a gander at the FO/GA invasion. That's a starting point for what I'm hoping to get from you folks. If you've done threads that made an impact on Hoth, or made Factory/Codex submissions that I might have missed, toss them my way. Send me everything Hoth. That goes double for the First Order, who currently own the real estate.

Bonus points if your event or location or whatever fits on this map, because yeah, I'm hoping to do a current version.

[member="Porg"] - As I mentioned in discord, there's been a few changes to Hoth - most notably what was once Echo Base and the later incarnation renamed to Outpost Veers. I've currently got a Codex submission in the works that details both the location and some of the lesser points of interest around the planet, so when that's complete, I'll link it here for you.

What about canon stuff?

One thing we have seen IRL is that snow and ice tends to preserve things - sure, some things have been plundered, plucked and pillaged away at but there has been times it's been restored and pieced back together. Echo Base was turned into something, and then pillaged and then turned into something else again. Remnants of the Battle of Hoth are no doubt scattered about, preserved in ice and snow and able to be restored or brought back.

Over the years, I'm sure there have been plenty of skirmishes and battles that have left behind relics and trinkets that have been forgotten - I "discovered" lost Jedi artifacts on Hoth as a means to do something. I believe it was Jaina Solo-Fel's lightsaber, the submission was in the Factory but uncertain if you could use that in the Codex.

Personally, I love Hoth.

Not sure if they're facts but yeah.
