- Concealable: Glastros body armor is tailored precisely for the user's measurements, and combined with a thin, compressible weave layers it clings very close to the user's body. Most people can wear most of their normal clothes over it with very few people noticing its presence. This lightweight design relying mostly on cloth for protection also means that people aren't encumbered much, meaning that they retain their full natural range of motion.
- Emergency Transponder Beacon: Surreptitiously hidden in the zipper of each armor is a an emergency transponder beacon, which allows allies to find the user if the person is kidnapped or otherwise lost. Given its small size, it only works for two hours and has a limited range of several kilometers in most terrains.
- Whipcord Launchers: Each sleeve also conceals a miniaturized whipcord launcher, which can be used as a grappling gun to transverse terrain or as a nonlethal binding weapon, in keeping with Bimmisaari cultural norms of not physically harming others.
- Resistant (Energy Weapons): GCA is primarily made out of Defensa, which was designed primarily to protect against the most common threat on most battlefields: blasters and related energy weapons. To that end, it borrows heavily from existing blast armor material, using insulation in the form of spun-plast, energy absorption from microbes and armorweave, and heat resistance from thermal gel. Additional phrik trauma plates provide additional protection against this threat.
- Resistant (Kinetic Weapons): GCA is primarily a soft armor, with its weave containing thermal gel pockets, which stiffen up and absorb kinetic energy upon impact before spreading its energy across the rest of the connected cloth, providing the user with reasonable protection from many low-caliber physical threats. Additional phrik trauma plates provide additional protection against this threat.
- Resistant (Lightsabers): A number of small and carefully shaped phrik trauma plates provide a bit more protection from lightsabers than most armors, though due to their thinness they will not last long against such weapons in prolonged fights.
- Susceptible (Sonic weapons): Defensa cloth provides very little protection against sonic weapons due to its lightweight construction and frequent fluid pockets (through which sound transmits through easier than many solid materials of similar depth).
- Susceptible (Radiation weapons): None of the materials used in GCA provide much protection from radiation weapons, in large part due to its thin and flexible layers. Perhaps even worse, the microbes embedded in the weave are living things, and radiation (aside from heat from weapons like blaster bolts) consequently can quickly kill them. This not only can lessen Defensa's protection against energy weapons, but the debris from their destruction can rapidly become enmeshed with other debris or frayed fabric strands, leading to reduced flexibility that cannot be repaired.
Commissioned by the Bimmisaari government to protect their guests during the Elysium Empire and Silver Jedi Concord summit on their homeworld, Glastros Concealed Armor is an example of high-end armored clothing designed to unobtrusively protect VIPs and those who engage in more covert activities. Specifically formulated but thin textile forms most of this tightly fitting shirt, albeit there are a few thin phrik trauma plates to provide additional protection at the joints and around vital areas around the torso. This thin construction allows it to be easily worn under most clothing and also facilitates natural movement. Compared to many modern combat armors, its other features are few. An emergency transponder allows others to track the user if they are kidnapped or lost, while more unusually, GCA includes a pair of whipcord launchers to detain possible assailants or act as a grappling hook if necessary. Only a few examples of this armor were made and promptly given to delegates from the Silver Jedi Concord and Elysium Empire on this world, but one went mysteriously missing shortly after arrival upon the world, being intercepted by an unknown agent before it could issued to its original intended recipient.
