2278 was a B1 Battle Droid manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata during the Clone Wars. As such, he was physically identical to the millions of other B1 units assembled for use in the Separatist Droid Armies. 2278 stood bipedally at 1.93 meters tall; towering over the average human, and exceeding the height of Clone Troopers. The B1 series featured outer plating which closely resembled the tan shade of bone and had two black optical sensors positioned on its elongated cranial unit. These droid units were known to have frail, slender frames which were prone to damage at the electromagnetic joints. Many of the units were equipped with bulky rectangular backpacks that acted as a long-range communication device, external power supply, and a rechargeable source of energy.

Biography: (WIP)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- 21.71 BBY: Bescane Factories - (2278 + Private Rank + E-5 Blaster Rifle)
2278 was created by Baktoid Combat Automata in the vast factories of Bescane, subsequent to the Battle of Geonosis. He was manufactured as a series of B1 Battle Droid units in service of the CIS for the Clone Wars. These droid units were inexpensive to produce, expendable in use, and designed to be effective in sheer numbers; units rarely seen as individuals with any capacity for thought. In the minds of the clones and jedi they fought, they were regarded as 'soulless' entities whom could be cut down without any hint of remorse. "In walking off the assembly line, 2278 was no different from the millions before him. A droid like every other; autonomy confined to code, a body devoid of choice, a life without abode, a vacant mind deprived of voice. This, was a temporary condition."
- 21.66 BBY: Battle of Muunilinst - (2278 + Sergeant Rank + Enhanced Processors)
As the the war waging on Muunilinst's surface came to a close, 2278 was selected as part of the reinforcements staged to defend against invading Republic forces. The unit was assigned to a droid battalion on the planet's surface which later merged with an active Separatist Vanguard. He and his fellow B1s fought to counter the attacking Clone Trooper regiments; successfully impeding the Galactic Republic's first attempt to secure the system. Of the original 784 units in his Battalion, a total of 763 were destroyed or severely damaged; a minor blow to the vast numbers of droids employed by Separatist forces. Despite the known low survival rates of B1s, Unit 2278 survived the battle unscathed, and was soon after reassigned to Mygeeto forces before the Battle of Muunilinst was lost.
- 21.16 BBY: Battle of Mygeeto - (2278 + Corporal Rank + E-5s Sniper Rifle + Advanced Targeting)
Arriving in Mygeetan space as part of a separatist support fleet, he was dispatched in a C-9979 landing craft to the burning cityscape of Jygat. There, he was tasked with the assassination of CC-1211 and was assigned a small support squad to assist him. He and his squad navigated the ash-filled ruins of Mygeeto's capital, steadily bypassing the Republic battlefront as they advanced to locate the target. 2278 reached the designated vantage point during the night, and with the help of his squad, succeeded in assassinating the Clone Commander and his subordinates; ultimately crippling the Republic's forward defenses. In the chaos of the short-lived Separatist victory, he and his newfound droid squad were extracted from Mygeeto's surface to await reassignment elsewhere in the galaxy.
- 20.79 BBY: Battle of Jabiim - (2278 + Officer Rank + E-60R Missile Launcher + V-1 Thermal Detonators)
An immense Separatist Droid army was deployed to aid the Jabiimi in their rebellion against the Republic occupation. 2278 and his squad assaulted Republic bases alongside thousands of other droids, slowly pushing back Republic forces as their numbers diminished. In the midst of severe weather conditions, the droid squad was struck by an extreme electrostatic discharge; the resulting shock affecting their processors to an unknown severity. In response, they were automatically powered down and rebooted minutes later. As the squad neared the front lines, 2278 expressed an unfamiliar reaction to his squadmates. – Fear. Dread that, the next few steps may result in their termination, fear that they will not be rebuilt, fear that, their lives will come to an abrupt end. He then convinced them to find cover away from the firefight; remaining there for days until the Republic forces retreated. In that time, they spoke to one another as individuals; each finding a name for themselves, and for the one which saved them. 2278 became known to them as, Glitch.
- 20.63 BBY: Battle of Alzoc III - (Glitch + Commander Rank + SE-14 Blaster Pistol)
Glitch and his squad were assigned to an outpost on Alzoc III for an indefinite period of time; the station would serve as a relay for Separatist forces until the end of the war. He was to lead a company of Battle Droids across Alzoc III's snow laden landscape. Alas, the cruel planet brought about a storm; obscuring the narrow optics of his squad's AAT, and the view of transports before it. Gusts of wind pushed the tank off course and it became gradually encumbered by the endless fall of snow, slowly bringing it to a halt. There it lay, gathering sleet as the droids within were drained of power; softly comforting one another, free from war, at last finding peace in their fate. There they remained. – For eight hundred and forty-four years, the droids lay silently. Undisturbed by the cosmos above.
