- Environmental protection systems so almost no damage is taken from rain, snow, lava, or even falling rocks.
- G-1 droids can withstand almost any environmental damage, as they were designed to act as an army to function on colonized planets in the Unknown Regions.
- G-1 droids also are programmed to feel no emotion, so no job is too underhanded or dirty for them to do.
- G-1 droids are notoriously weak to EMP weapons, and often weapons meant to stun an organic will damage a G-1 beyond repair.
Designed by the highly corrupt Glolmark Corporation as a battle droid for the colonial exploitation of planets in the Unknown Regions and manufactured in repurposed droid factories on Geonosis, the G-1 is designed to be an ideal multi-terrain soldier fit to preform a wide range of tasks. While it was classified as a security droid to avoid regulations against private armies, the G-1 is a battle droid first and foremost. They became quite closely associated with the corporation, and a stylized version of a G-1 faceplate eventually became their logo.
They formed the bulk of the slave oppression squads on colonized worlds, and eliminated anyone trying to report on the corporation’s corrupt enterprises. When the slave revolts started, these droids were the main counterforce to the uprisings. They ended up failing to quell the revolts however, and the one by one, the corporation lost control over their colonies and finally went bankrupt after the CEO of the company was imprisoned.
These days, G-1s can be found working as Bounty Hunters or Hired Muscle. Some companies have started producing highly convincing knock-off versions, but a few of the originals who survived the fall of the Glolmark Corporation operate as space pirates, still flying the flag of the dead company.
