This was a long time coming.
Needless to say, everything has sort of collapsed. I'm sure there are a million things one could point to as an explanation for why, but that's not what I'm posting this for.
To keep things short; I am the only member of faction staff remaining both in the SOV and on the board in general, and due to my other responsibilities & IRL time restraints I am in no position to become a Faction Owner. With such low numbers both in our activity and managemental roles (And with the Discord being gone) the Sovereignty is going to go minor for a while. Probably, a very long while.
This is a pretty unfortunate reality, especially due to the brilliant effort I saw put forth in things like our Dominions and faction threads, but it's a reality all the same, and we need to address it.
Though like all things in the SOV, this is open for discussion and, honestly, I won't stand in the way of others looking to keep the faction alive as a major. But in my humble opinion, this is what needs to be done. I will gladly hold another vote for an FO if there is enough interest in that, but it should be known from that point forward (If this alternative route is what's decided on) I'll depart as a faction admin and leave the SOV in the hands of whoever wants to keep it going. If there's no interest in this, then us going to minor will proceed. This doesn't mean the Sovereignty is entirely gone, mind you -- Just gone off the map game.
