Gokeiger Pt.2 (Tiro)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

The second phase of construction was underway, their people were sent out to make deals and work with the people. The disposal services and collection on the planet was something needed as they were getting runoff and scraps from the mine. Stygium shards and pieces they could use for themselves were at the ready as they were boxing it along with scrap metal from the people. She was sitting there with the machine presses and loaders coming in. There was more, she had put a call into her cousins boss Alva who was open to somethings and she welcomed the princess helping out.

Making another appearance on Matsu's request wasn't something Alva Calvarona was really expected, especially as it called her as far out as the world of Maramere. it was rather irritating actually. Sure the last endeavor had been productive and the paddle beam technology incorporated with the blasters the operation had invented was an incredible breakthrough, but it didn't mean that the crinan woman enjoyed spending copious amounts of time wandering the galaxy aiding others in finishing up other group's projects. After all, in the same time she was spending here, she could well be orchestrating the Intelligence Division's next covert operation or help in raiding Sith supply lines. "I hope my time will not be needed here long. My presence is required for many other pressing matters. I hope you understand this is a huge favor."

She didn't care if the other woman was a more practiced user of the force, Alva just wanted a moment to relax.

"I do and I shall relay that to Ikki about this and well there is always a special chance. Here you can get some of the shards and pieces we were able to get when building the warehouse. The crystal here on this island is an important thing that groups from across the galaxy use and Ikki spoke of some concerns. The Remnant will be able to find some places and I have explored out there some of those worlds could be very helpful for your people." She had explored in the unknown regions and she was moving towards the machines now running a hand in the shards of crystal. Stygium was used for everyones stealth and it would be something the sith liked to use this close.

To Alva, the help in finding new worlds wasn't entirely welcome. To make the offer, the Silver Jedi woman clearly didn't think highly of the Empire's chances, and while perhaps not intentional, the insult stung. Nevertheless, the crinan woman had taken the time to come out here so she wouldn't leave over the slight. However, she would push to get everything finished quickly. After all, it was clear that Matsu's people had already made some progress in their work here. It couldn't take too much more work and time right. Plus, getting the Empire a small amount of Stygium for some armor or perhaps a shuttle wasn't a bad trade off in the end. "We don't need any help on that front, but I appreciate the off of some of the benefits from your mining work here. What more help can I offer you now then."

Matsu looked at her for a moment and seemed to realize a little, she might have made a mistake in offering but she was trying o be helpful while she looked at her and had a grin on her face. "Well if your people can find a use for some of this stygium. I know an group like yous would have better use then a jedi order that isn't supposed to sneak around." Matsu was looking at her while she was moving through the shop and here on the docks the shop was setting up some area outside where they could stand around and show off items. "After our last encounter I know a little more about you and you are not the worse compared to some imperials. At least you seem to care about your people."

They certainly good, though the more she thought about it the more Alva realized it was likely to be used for transports or other such ships rather than armor. The Imperial Commandos armor was already coated in reflec, making it stealthed already alongside the sound dampening the units were equipped with. When something could bend light and hide from passive sensor scanning it didn't need the help from stygium. A ship though could greatly use the stygium then. With the comment on the Jedi though the crinan woman had no comment. Not having dealt with them, she could only go off word of mouth and history books, and she would agree they definitely weren't the type to require the ability to hide. "I have never known the Empire to truly be evil as they say. Maintaining Order above all is a worthy cause, even if meted out harshly. Plus one has to remember the differences between the Empire and a single Emperor."

Matsu looked at her and she had to nod her head to that, granted the empire wasn't always a good idea in her mind but she wasn't opposed to something what worked. If it kept the people safe, protected them and at least sought to not only cater to a few like some did... Well who was she to argue. The jedi weren't tied to the republic exclusively they had left it when it became corrupt and returned to save it. It was the human centric empires that were dangerous because they oppressed most of the galaxy as opposed to others that allowed them to all prosper. "The empire can be different and if it protects its people it will function better then some of the republic has."

If it came to the point they disagreed too greatly, Alva made her decision to back down rather than cause tension with Ikki's cousin. It hardly mattered what their philosophies were in the end so long as they could work together towards a common goal. From the sounds of it though, Matsu didn't look to turn things into a fight either, even granting that the Empire could be better than the Republic, at least some iterations of it. "Having had to catch up on galactic history in order to help keep my world isolated from it, to be of enough use so we wouldn't be dragged into everyone else's wars even though that ended up happening, I agree with you completely. Even if one says the Empire under Palpatine was atrocious, the New Republic following it was the most corrupt in all of history. One can see that in how ineffectual its government was and how it pardoned monsters who killed more than Palpatine ever did with his Death Star. One need only look to Pellaeon or the Fels if one wants to see a proper government."

Matsu looked at her and gave a nod of her head while she had finished. There was a small crate for Alva of stygium shards she could bring for her help and every little bit or it was one less the sith could use. Meant what she might have planned could come from it before she closed the top of the crate. "Corruption is something that will always find a way to be there, it takes only one to really mess something good up and turn it into their own ends." She looked up though and presented the crate for her while holding it. "This is for you and your people as promised for your help."

Accepting the crate of stygium shards, Alva nodded to Matsu in response to the Silver Jedi's words. It really did only take one bad apple to cause a collapse, and most usually that bad apple sat at the top. Personally, the Imperial Officer was rather happy with the efforts of those who sat at the head of the Empire's leadership. Although she would also admit it was the inconsistency of command that had led to the Sith's dominion of her homeworld, though it had not been done out of corruption, more or less a many passing of hands. Hopefully this time around things would work out much better. "Thank you, I'm sorry if I caused you any stress today as well. I don't believe Ikki would be as gentle in training if I were to upset her cousin. If there's anything else let's move onto it before my time comes to leave."
