The first order of business for Kanni was to meet with Laphisto who was the leader of the Lilaste Order. The Empire and the Order were once close allies with Lilaste Order helping the Empire prevent the Tingel Arm Coalition from taking over Lothal and Mon Cala. However, with the Emperor's death, Order was no longer bound to the contract they've signed and ended up teaming up with the TAC at the battles of Garn and Maldra IV. Though they were on the losing end and by all rights should be punished as they were the enemy, Kanni wanted the Order to be allies again. They were mercenaries: true neutrals who go to whoever pays them the most. Velran managed to secure a lifetime arrangement with the Order but that ended after his death. Kanni needed to construct a deal where the Order won't turn on them in the event of her death.

"Which is not going to happen," Kanni snorted leaning against her throne. "Your grace," An Imperial Custodian said walking towards the Empress. " Laphisto has arrived."

"Send him in." Kanni said as the Custodian bowed and walked back to the entrance.

Laphisto arrived to the tower as per his scheduled visit. While he had never been to the capital of the Empire of the lost, he had only heard great things about it. Especially about its beauty. Or what could be considered as such. Quite frankly, laphisto didn't see it. Then again, he was mostly blind, so that could account for it. Or perhaps it was the bustling population that accompanied such a large metropolis, all the individuals made even his force sight a blinding sight.

but the tower? now that was something a bit more manageable in both looks and in sight. Walking into the main corridor of the building, he was escorted to meet with Kaanni Ugaiya Kilran . he had chosen to come alone, even without his esteemed commander and his personal guard. A choice he was sure High admiral Ali Kare or High general Silas Vizsla might scold him on if they found out. Especially with recent order dealings with the Tingle arm coalition. To other groups, walking into the head of a faction that one in a technical sense betrayed would be a death sentence.

But for laphisto he saw it as business. He had his own people's well-being to consider. And after all, the lilaste order had taken on a mercenary type contract with both factions. While the empire of the lost got the considerably more advanced tech. With the tingle arm coalition being sold surplus gear that was phased out by the order entirely. and besides that even if he were to be attacked or killed, the empire of the loast would most likely have the full force of the lilaste military - even if it was a fraction of the empire of the lost- and her allies to deal with. so to a degree he felt comfortable in both his reputation and in the weight of his faction that he would be safe for this meeting. reguardless of the outcome.

upon being escorted to the empress laphisto stood himself upright hand resting on the pommel of his broad saber and then dipped into a cortual bow flicking his right wrist outwards and towards the empress as the other pushed against his stomach " it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance empress. to what do I owe the honor?" after he spoke laphisto stood himself back up looking down at her in a parade rest position.
