Good Help Requires Credits

Mr. Glade

Guest
Leon slowly pulled a white dress shirt on himself before buttoning it up. He sighed before walking towards the door. His parents had recently died...well were murdered, which in turn left him with all the noble family's credits, His father owned a clothing company which sold clothes to only the highest of social class, while his mother was an accountant for another company. Leon was now head of the noble house, and owner of the clothing company. Leon decided it was too much work to manage a large company, so he temporarily left a trusted friend in charge.

Leon opened the door before stepping out, and instantly, the Coruscant air hit his face.

"Ugh...it gets worse every time I step out." Leon complained before walking further out of the building. He decided he would go to a lower Coruscant, where nobody knew, or cared who he was.

...

Leon wandered the streets for a bit, looking for a nice crowded bar, sadly he had reached the end of the street, and the only bar was pretty much empty.

He groaned before stepping in, the bartender eyed him. Leon waved his hand before saying "Relax, I got more than enough credits, perhaps you'd be willing to look the other way?" Leon walked towards the counter and placed a handful of credits, "A glass of your most expensive." Leon said as he placed a handful of credits on the table, more than enough to pay. The bartender nodded before turning to grab an unknown drink from the shelf.

Leon sighed.

"Where am I going to find a good bodyguard."

LOCATION: NON-DESCRIPT BAR, COURSCANT
EQUIPMENT: IN BIO
MOOD: JOLLY

Ghorua the Shark sat at a table right in the middle of the bar, joking around with a couple of brutish-looking humans. Courscant was never a very hospitable place, but the genetically-modified Herglic considered it home. His childhood abode was only a few levels away from this bar, but he rarely visited the site. His family's home was turned into a warehouse a few years ago, and Ghorua had never felt the need to see what was left of it. Instead, he decided to barhop.

The Darkwater Security employee slapped one of the humans on the back, almost flipping him head-over-heels in the process. "And then I said, 'You can take your clearance, and you can shove it!'" The two men burst out in laughter, adding to the cacophonous uproar of the bar. Ghorua wore his Koodan-Class armor, but left the helmet off, showing off his large round face, his smiling mouth sporting serrated teeth. His pit-less black eyes scanned the room on a whim, and saw a man at the bar. He heard a few words come from the guy, and liked what he heard. "Excuse me, gentlemen. I've got something to do."

Ghorua stood up to his full height, a hefty 10''5', and plodded over to the counter. The ground quaked with each of his footsteps, making the people around him stop their conversations and turn. He towered over the little man, and smiled. His sharp teeth glinted in the artificial lighting.

"I might be able to help you with that. Ghorua the Shark," he said, introducing himself. "Bodyguard supreme."

Glade lifted his gaze as he heard loud bellowing from some of the patrons of the bar. He could only sigh as he heard endless laughter. A few seconds later, a loud series of steps were coming towards him. Leon jumped a little, as he heard a voice.

Turning his head just a little, he was able to see [member="Ghorua the Shark"], in heavy looking armour, the creature towered over him, and a small smile crept onto Leon's face.

"Hmm, you think you could help me...." Leon said as he wondered to himself.

"It all depends on your price, You look like you are capable, but at the moment, I can trust you just about as far as I can throw you." Glade said as he sipped his drink.

"Care to demonstrate?"

Ghorua kept his smile plastered to his face. The little guy had guts, that's for sure. He didn't scream in terror or run the other direction, yet looked competely out of place in the setting of the cantina. An interesting charge, to say the least.

"I charge 250,000 a month, plus expenses. Pretty reasonable, I'd say. And as for trust..." The gigantic Herglic reached into a pocket on his bandolier, and pulled out a business card for Darkwater Security, the firm he worked for. It was reliable, and well known in One Sith territory. The leader of it was a Sith Lord, after all. "If that's not enough for you, please, test me to the best of your abilities." The Shark kept his smile on his face, but his eyes were blank, expressionless. His emotions were well hidden behind this double-facade.

Ghorua didn't know what kind of demonstration [member="Mr. Glade"] was asking for, but he would do whatever it was without a question. Ghorua wasn't new to trials and tribulations. The saberstaff on his bandolier could attest to that.

Glade smiled as the card was shown to him.

"Darkwater Security, I guess that is trustworthy." Glade paused before picking up his glass and taking a sip.

"250,000 credits a month, plus expenses?" He paused.

"You'd probably want vacations too." He said sarcastically. He then smiled.

"Why not?....Where should I send the first half," He said as he stood up and began walking out the door of the bar, he motioned his hand for Ghorua to follow him.

"My name is Leon Glade."

Ghorua the Shark gave the man his information, and where to send the credits.

"Well then, Mister Glade," Ghorua growled, his deep voice smoother than a holonet announcer, "when do I begin?"

Ghorua looked back to the humans he was relaxing with. They looked to him, one of them had their thumbs raised. He didn't even know them. They probably thought he was going to beat his new charge up. Not today, the Herglic thought.
