Good Times in Ethos City

The Dusty Sparrow dropped out of hyperspeed and entered the planets atmosphere. Jorge heard about this planet from an old client, he was told that the Ethos City would be a good place for him to make new clients and have a "good time." Jorge couldn't resist a chance to take a break and potentially meet new clients and so he went.

The Sparrow flew down towards the downtown part of Ethos City and swung into the nearest landing port. The boarding ramp lowered and Jorge left the ship, his co-pilot stay on the ship in fear of being stolen and pawned off because Jorge planned to go to the shady part of Ethos City, the Red Light and Entertainment sector.

Jorge didn't know where he was going and he wandered into a club called the Triple Overdose. The Inside was dim and the only illumination came from neon lights that were everywhere. Jorge took a seat at the bar and ordered a drink, preparing to get his fun on.

A good glass of alcohol accompanioned by a cancer stick during a rainy night, like always, helped a bunch to cope with so many things going through Ar'ekk's head.

Between work, home and other minor subjects that are not necessary to mention at all, he sought refuge in the only place that the man felt comfortable at: the Triple Overdose Club.

Quite a distinctive and fancy name for such an establishment, a bit grimey for most folks but those who enjoyed a good drink during long nights and hardous days would come here right away.

The Je'daii Ranger had come a regular ever since he set foot on Lithios and most patrons knew him by name and showed a level of respect for the man.

Work could also be found in such a fine establishment like this as it became a hotspot for bounty hunters, smugglers and the lowest level of scum that Lithios could offer.

Jorge looked around the club for potential clients and spotted a few patrons that he thought seemed like they need little more in there life, maybe a little something he could supply. He entertained this thought till his drink came and then he dove into that.

After some time, Jorge's third drink order came to him and he got up from seat to go to the open entertainment area, but as he got up, he bumped into a man that had just entered the club and dropped his drink. "Oh kark." He looked at the man and apologized for bumping into him, Jorge wasn't drunk enough to blame it on the man, and he knew he was responsible.

"Hey, buddy. You seem like you come here often, could you help me out and tell the staff I'm sorry about the glass."

Jorge wasn't trying to start his little vacation by getting kicked out a club.

Tumultuous commotions such as the one provoked by Jorge were not a rare occurence in an establishment such as this one which is why not a single patron or Ar'ekk seemed to care.

He was more worried about his half empty glass than a scoundrel trying to deal with another of the criminals enjoying their evening here.

With a small groan, he fidgeted on his seat as he tried to find the right comfortable spot to sit as his eyes lingered on the smuggler. Not too scary, very young and definitely a bit of a scared person yet... He seemed capable.

That prompted the Ranger to buy him a drink of his choice out of his cordiality which wasn't something he usually did with strangers.

"It's fine, here. Have a drink on me."

The stranger didn't seem to be bothered by him, so Jorge took up the man's offer and had a seat next to him. "Oh. Thanks, anything would be fine."

Jorge sat there waiting for his drink to come, and in the meantime he tried to gauge the strangers character. "So, what's your name?" He smiled and offered his, "Mine is Jorge."

After some time of waiting, and awkwardly sitting there the smuggler had an idea come to him, "I was wondering.. You wouldn't need any type of "goods" shipped privately, would you?" Jorge's drink came and he drank from it, waiting for a response to his proposition.

The Je'daii Ranger grimaced at the taste of his Coruscanti cocktail since it was too sweet for his own taste and mixed with the death sticks he was smoking, the drink didn't taste that good either.

His eyes lingered on the young scoundrel sitting besides him, sizing his persona and trying to read his body lingo.

"Ar'ekk." He said, returning the gesture with a very light grin, "How's the drink?"

It was impossible to escape from business, specially in an establishment like this. The man needed some help moving specific cargo from off-world without "legal" permits, so this couldn't come at a better time. He was wary of the young scoundrel however and didn't hesitate to question him further.

"You've got experience with that? I thought you were attending flight academy or something."

"It's nice to meet you Ar'ekk!" The scoundrel exclaimed the statement a little loud, and it started to become apparent that Jorge couldn't handle his liquor, besides a glass of Merenzane Gold.

The Gold had him over the edge now and he wasn't going to hide it when he asked if he was LIT or thot "Yes sir! The drink is great.. I don't know why you bought me such an expensive drink, but thanks either way, it's amazing!"

Jorge was a little taken back by his new acquaintance view of him. "Hey buddy, of course I've got experience, I've been doing this stuff since I was born!" He was clearly over exaggerating.

"Wai-wait! What do you mean flight academy?! I could fly any ship if I was drunk!"
Jorge was even prepared to right then show Eric, and he was ready to get up out of his seat.

What's this, amateur time?

Ar'ekk seriously doubted this kid would be able to carry out a simple smuggling task as the one he had in mind but he was willing to take the risk. Maybe he was the next Han Solo and the amount of credits at stake would make this a benefitial partnership.

"Have a seat, Jorge. I don't want you to fall down and spill the drink on other patron, I can't save you if that happens."

He raised his glass and necked his drink in a get-go, grimacing at the sour taste of his liquor of choice that evening. Rolling his eyes around as Jorge spoke once again, the man tried to take him serious despite the drunken state of his.

"You want a job or you're just gonna stand there? I could use some help."

"Sure thing, Good idea."

Jorge did as Ar'ekk asked and slowly eased himself back down into his seat.

Now that he was seriously being offered a job, he was trying to push away how good he was feeling, and act professional.

The scoundrel wasn't as naive as he seemed, even though the slight drunkenness didn't help his case, he truly wasn't and he had a few questions he liked to ask when he was taking a job into consideration.

"So for the job, what are the details? Anyway I'm sure I can help you.." with that statement Jorge set his drink down and pushed it away, the drink was a half full still, but the smuggler was trying to pay attention to the ranger.
