Gotta Keep 'Em Sharp

[member="Durgur Opoth"]

Boomerang knew a lot of things. She knew how to kill in all sorts of ways. She knew the best way to throw a boomerang, or a knife. She knew how to tattoo on all sorts of different species, too.

Unfortunately, she didn't know a whole lot about metalsmithing. And since she needed a new boomerang (she'd lost hers in a bounty gone bad) and her other weapons needed to be sharpened, Tiola had decided to seek out a fairly reputable smith by the name of Durgur Opoth.

So now, strolling down the busy marketplace in her job outfit (mask and all), Boomerang sought out her intended booth, not needing to dodge the crowd since they were already avoiding her. She soon spotted the Zabrak and made her way over to him. Knocking on the side of one of the support beams, Boomerang asked in a a disguised voice, "Hey, you. Want some business?"

Durgur looked up from his stand, currently filled with finished pieces of vibroblades, longswords, vibroknives, and other metal blade pieces of work. He only had on the beige common clothes he usually wore, relatively new in condition since he could afford to buy more.

He'd worked for an entire day to fill up his stand, and he was proud to say that they were selling well. Judging from this customer's approach, it sounded like she may not be interested in what he currently had presented, and when she said 'business' he could only hope she was simply referring to his work as a weapon smith, but he had to be sure. "Of course, I assume you need me to smith something? Something not on the stand?" He asked simply.

At his inquiry, Boomerang withdrew one knife and one boomerang, promptly laying them on the counter. "I've got six knives and three boomerangs that need to be sharpened. I also need you to create one duplicate boomerang. Think you can do that?"

In truth, she had plenty of faith in his abilities, if she were to go by looks alone. Some of the stuff the guy had laying out were incredible, giving testimony to hands which cared about quality. And as someone from two fields which required excellent quality, Tiola respected that.

Durgur briefly looked over the items he was presented with, and nodded. "That's doable, I can have all of that done in 24 hours." Durgur looked his customer up and down. She was most certainly well armed, but lacked any uniform. "Are you a mercenary? I don't mean to pry, but I hardly think boomerangs are standard issue, at least not with any organization I'm familiar with." Durgur hadn't met too many mercenaries before, but he had heard that many mercenaries and bounty hunters liked to be unique, and he'd never seen someone fight with a boomerang before.

24 hours? Awesome. "Good, the sooner the better. Just don't cheat me on the quality."

At the kid's question, though, she couldn't help but smirk behind her mask. This smith was an interesting character; not only did he not seem startled by her mask, but he even called her game. Although, the way things were going nowadays, it seemed like everyone and their brother wanted to be a big bad mercenary. It was those people which soiled the mercenary honor (or lack thereof) and made it harder for individuals like her to earn a living. Harder, but not impossible.

"Maybe I am, maybe I ain't." Not very chatty, but the Jumper had a reputation to keep; to the rest of the galaxy, Boomerang was a woman of action, not words. Reaching towards her sheaths, Tiola withdrew the rest of her weapons -- three boomerangs and six knives total. "Here's all I need you to sharpen. Price ain't an issue, but don't make it outrageous. Else I'll need to clean these, too." Actually, Tiola doubted this Zabrak would try to cheat her, but sometimes first appearances could prove to be wrong. Besides, never hurt to establish who was in charge.

Judging by the lack of formality in her voice, she definitely wasn't a soldier, so she was most likely a mercenary. At least, that's what Durgur thought, she could also be a bandit, though he doubted a bandit would go to the market place to get their weapon sharpened. He didn't really appreciate the edge in her voice, but he saw no reason to confront her about such a minor irritation, especially since she was a customer.

"We can discuss the price once you see the results, assuming you're satisfied." Durgur wasn't used to this job entirely, so he wasn't sure how wise it was to do business as he was doing it, but he decided he'd go with it, until it did prove hampering somehow.

((omigosh I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry for making you wait! And sorry for the short post >.< ))

Boomerang shook her head, grinning under her mask. This kid don't know nothin' 'bout a business, she thought.

Realising the Zabrak would probably take her motion as a negative, she quickly added, "That sounds good, kid." Still leaning against the post, she jerked her head towards the other wares. "Mind if I stick around and browse?"
