Governmental Structure

I have a main idea behind our governmental structure as being a triad of leadership. One Sith, One Jedi, and One NFU. The odd number eliminates ties in decision making. The presence of both light and dark creates balance. The presence of the NFU creates inclusion. NFU's don't exist outside of the Force, they just can't touch it. To ignore their part in the galaxy, and the importance of them, would be folly. So a triad, I think, works best.

Now, as for what we'd be classified as, I mentioned in the other thread that I kind of think we seem like a combination of an Authoritarian government, because we have absolute power in the triad and they make overall global decisions on what is best and the people beneath us are expected to follow that. But we're also like a Commonwealth in the fact that we're united under rule of law in the name of the common good of the people. So, Authoritarian Commonwealth.

Authoritarian: a form of government in which state authority is imposed onto many aspects of citizens' lives.

Commonwealth: a nation, state or other political entity founded on law and united by a compact of the people for the common good.

I actually don't yet. Even though I play a couple of NFU's (Maris and Raze), I'm not really sure who would be amenable to this. Both of my NFU's are in factions that would likely oppose us. The Commonwealth because they hate FU's, and TNO because they're the hardcore Empire of old. So I'm not as familiar with the NFU's as I'd like to be, and don't know where to begin in looking for someone.

[member="Darth Ignus"] Me either. I usually only end up RPing with Sith or Jedi. NFUs tend to drop by as mercenaries for either side, so it's a tricky proposition. And whether any of them will care about the idea of restoring a balance between the powers remains questionable.

Well, they have to understand that the restoration of balance will not just bring balance to the Force, but end the perpetual Force War that's been raging since the two sides split. That same Force War has been the cause of the vast majority of wars that have broken out throughout history. Anyone who wants peace will be happy to see that come to an end. Plus, anyone that wants to see FU's look at NFU's as equals would likely want to be involved as well.
