This character is going to become a politician, so I'd appreciate some feedback.

If M'haeli ever gets in the hands of the Galactic Alliance, she will be a governor as well. If not, then she will just continue to do her own thing.

I feel like there is not a lot to do as a politician in the Alliance yet, because there's so few of them. I know [member="Cira"] has one, but don't know about any others.

Technically you could consider me a sort of governor since the Pyre does run a corporatocracy over Fondor, Thyferra and Yah'Dhul.

What I want for this character is the following - negotiator, representative, somebody who will negotiate trade deals. A sort of secretary of state. I'd have her start off as governor if you don't mind since Tionne was upper Knight level when I rebooted this account.

Essentially, I want to add another dimension to GA, political intrigue to make our dominions and invasions more interesting.

I'm a Governor, or at least was of the Oversector Rebellion... but no one tried me for my crimes. So my character is basically undecided.

I also haven't been active for over a month. I find that just because can use my phone for writing... I have to really want it... which only happens every so often. I desperately wish I had a computer.

But now im rambling about something you don't care about. What do you see yourself being Governor of?

Galactic Alliance Government

The Galactic Alliance has a very simple state order.

Planets are welcome to join.When they join, they get bonuses in trade and are expected to help with the joint defense fleet.

On top of that, we are keeping it very calm. Planets are run by their Governors, elected by the planet, for the planet and of the planet. There will not be Senate meetings, but if it does occur, there will be very simple voting requirements, however, the GA does not sully itself with worrying on the state. Keeping the planets happy is the concern of the planets. Keeping them safe is the concern of the Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet.

Planets are expected to allow other planets to do their own thing. They're not your monkeys, its not your circus.

If any of you have read John Scalzi's Old Man's War, we are basically the Colonial Union. We have a bunch of planets we protect, more can sign on.

I am aware GA has no senate. However, this does not mean GA has no political representation vis-a-vis respective planets themselves and allies. I suppose this would be the job of the emissaries and ambassadors? We already had some NFUs there, I thought Zonia could join them, rather than being an actual Governor.

I imagine ambassadors and emissaries negotiate trade agreements and the like. To be quite frank, I suck at writing combat and would really like to try something different this time.
