Grandfathered or nah ?

So, simple question:

3 Years ago when I joined and had my character sheet up, there were no restriction on beskar and such as they are now so I had listed Beskar'gam as a Strength:

So my question is does it get grandfathered meaning I could replace the Mandalorian Steel on my Eukgar'gam with Beskar ?

1. Is your armor basic canon armor with no frills? If it's canon it does not need to be in the factory.

2. If you added beyond what is standard, Did you submit your armor in the factory? Is there a tech sub showing you had it approved with it having beskar?

If not, then you are more than free to modify it but you must follow the development restrictions for beskar for mandaloriams, which is to forge it.

Back then, as far as I remember, rules were more loose on it so I'd assume it is a basic canon beskar armor since I've never stated anywhere it having functions beyond what is standard. I never submitted in the factory ( I dont remember if there was one back then but not even 50% sure about this). I remember that many Mandos used to put Beskargam as a Strength in their character profiles so I had gone with that.

My aim is to simply swap the Mandalorian Steel plates on that Eukgar'gam on the blog post with Beskar plates which I already have due to that 'grandfathered' strength. That possible ?

No. Because grandfather clause is for factory items.

Only if you are using the wookiee beskar canon armor will this work. Since you mention a chaos canon material [ mandalorians steel ] that only recently got approved, you are already changing it from canon.

You would need to do the dev if you want to submit it in the factory as beskar.
