Gratos

Michael sat down in the pilot's seat of his newly stolen Acturus gunboat.
He had just gone through all the supplies that were on the ship, and was glad to be able to say that an average human would be able to last 4 weeks on the supplies that were there.
Fortunately, he would be able to store it, because he was not a human. He had consumed six living humans and two corpses back on Qun, his unknowing prison for the past centuries, and although he could not properly judge the passing of time when he was still lacking the ability to reason, he could safely say that it had been thousands of moon-cycles.

He looked back on Qun, the ship's autopilot having taken care of the taking off and leaving the planet, and was suddenly struck by how big it was. In all the years that he had spent on the planet he had never even explored a fifth of it. He noticed now, the small lakes sitting in between vast swathes of grassland and desert, the massive spike that was the Southern Pole, and even the blackened streak of land where his first memories started. If he were truly human he would have felt sad to leave, but all he truly felt was excitement for what the wider galaxy had to offer.

He looked towards the star map, and selected a star system that was relatively close compared to others, called Gratos, before sitting back in the pilot seat and enjoying his first true jump into hyperspace.
