Intent: To create a weapon for combating force users, and other hostile combatants as well as to create a new type of grenade to be bought on the open market.
Development Thread: Here
Manufacturer: Stargo Defense Enterprises
Model: NA
Affiliation: Red Raven, Open Market
Modularity: No
Production: Mass
Material: Gravity Field Generator, Durasteel, copper wiring, lithium battery.
Description:

In the war against force users and the constant threat of the One Sith, the Red Ravens commissioned a weapon that could be deadly effective and used to help combat the ever growing threat. In comes the Gravity Grenade, a cantaloupe sized device that uses a super charged gravity field generator to create two mode device that can either capture or kill.

How it works is simple, grab the grenade and set it to your preferred mode using the peg on the front of it. Once activated the weapon emits a low hum to tell it is charging, the time from activation to detonation is around six seconds and once thrown the battery super charges the fine tuned gravity repulser lift and creates a six meter field of heavier gravity. This gravity is capable of bypassing shields such as ray, particle, and force barriers due to it not being a physical projectile or energy based attack. However while the physical ball itself can not pass through particle or force barriers, the gravity field it emits can.

The two separate settings go as such the first setting is the capture mode, once activated it puts out around 25.30 m/s² of gravity. Which is well over two and a half times the amount of gravity the standard planet carries. It's strong enough to keep hearty folks like Wookies pinned to the ground but this is better used on organics. Creatures such as droids depending on the variant will remain standing and can possibly still fire at you. This works for about twenty seconds and will keep opponents pinned or at least attempt to keep them down if they are caught in the field.

As seen above the more vicious kill setting is meant to crush, kill, and destroy your enemies. Emitting a whopping 50.00 m/s² for about a second only, this destroys the device and more than likely those who are caught in the field like a man crushing an ant. This of course is more meant for NPC targets rather than PC, so do not abuse this setting.

However this also has faults. It's about the size of a cantaloupe so that means it's not fitting in a grenade belt, more than likely a opponent will need a back pack or a at least a bag at the side of their thigh. It's also heavy, quite heavy, and throwing it takes either skill or strength. Ion blasts and EMPs will also render it useless. But if you are strong enough to handle and smart enough to pack it, this weapon will perform for you.

Although this exists in canon I am still going to give you the same warning I would have otherwise: Do not abuse this, it is extremely easy to get caught up in the effects of a miniature gravity generator, if there are reports made for this it will be retroactively denied. Be careful whom you sell this to or allow to use.

Approved, pending secondary.
