Great Holocron of the Jedi Academies

Hello Everyone,

I had another idea I thought I would share (because why not!). The Republic had the Great Holocron, then the New Jedi Order had Tionne's holocron, I just thought it would be a neat idea if we developed a great holocron for the Jedi Academy network.

This Jedi Academy minor faction is bring together a great number of Jedi Masters who would be available to submit things, and as the academy grows and members come and go, they too would be able to add information.

I was thinking we could start off by asking every master to submit two pieces to the holocron. Piece 1 would be autobiographical (e.g., I might talk about the first time I faced a Sith on Empress Teta) and Piece 2 would be some sort of lesson piece (e.g., I might discuss further the duties and responsibilities of the Shadows).

We could eventually make a formal submission of the holocron to the factory, or we could pin it in the Jedi Archives (IC) as a reference for students (or we could do both). We would simply need Masters to submit their information and then it would be added to the Holocron.

My rationale behind this is it would give a sense of continuity to our characters. Lets face it, eventually some of us might leave the board, or we might kill off our characters.....but in doing this they live on in the holocron!

So, what are our thoughts?

That sounds pretty cool, and like you said, a neat way to immortalize characters that may not be with us forever. In the long run, it could serve as a learning guide for many future Jedi, and may even serve as good background for story. [member="Kian Karr"]

I think that idea would be great actually. As it's been already said, it gives us a chance to immortalize our characters since they won't be here forever and gives them a way to pass on their knowledge to future generations. How awesome would it be two or three years down the line if you saw a Jedi Padawan make use of your knowledge? Or if you saw their understanding clear up from something that confused them by reading your tidbit on whatever you chose to write on in the holocron?

I would suggest we make a sub-forum within the Archives (IC) that way each persons submission is a separate thread. If we do one thread and everyone submits to it, it'll make searching it very difficult!

Ok I added a Holocron Submission to the IC Archives. That is copied over from my holocron submission from The Jedi Order, the next one I do will be original.

Anyone who was interested in this idea should start putting together their thoughts and getting their submissions in there!!! :)
