Green Green wine (complete)

Faith walked through the doors of the winery and could smell the emerald grapes that had just been harvested. "Wow that is a sweet smell, how many grapes does it take to make a barrel of wine?"

"A lot Mam, and the process is one of an ancient process so making the wine takes longer than in most facilities as we allow it all to occur within the times of nature." Mr. Baliss smiled at her, yes the Organa family still kept to many of the old traditions, it was part of the culture of Alderaan to not infringe upon the natural beauty of their world and to keep to many of the old traditions.

Faith was growing farther along and it was becoming increasingly difficult to hide her condition, questions would be asked for certain. "How many bottles do we have on hand now?"

Mr. Baliss thought for a moment, "We have three seasons worth and orders that will use most of the wine from at least the first season we have in stock"

Faith thought, "I will be needing some for a large gathering is it possible to hold some back for that?"

"yes Mam."

Faith loved the smell inside the winery the fermentation, the sweet grapes, the old barrels made to hold the wine. While this was only one of their holdings that they were rebuilding it was only significant to the family.

The winery provided jobs to workers and profits from the winery were shared with them. This helped those who looked to House Organa and Faith was glad to be part of getting it running.

"I'm excited, can we taste some of it?"

Mr. Baliss nodded, "certainly let's go into the tasting room and get a few glasses to try a few different years"

Now that sounded like fun Faith moved along with him taking in the rooms.

The tasting room was only for the family when they came to try to the new bottling it was an elegant room big enough for four individuals, the colors of the room reflected the deep red woods of the forest, the colors of the canyons, and the lush green valleys.

Faith slid onto one of the stools as Mr. Baliss brought a bottle and two glasses.

"One season back so this should have a nice clear flavoring Princess."

"Emerald wine, getting the seedlings must have been difficult to restart the vineyard."

The older man nodded, "a little yes, we had to barter heavily to get some from other growers. Competition in the wine market is intense and House Organa bringing back their brand, gave them cause for pause"

Faith laughed, "Well they will survive and what we sell is such a small portion I can't imagine we hurt them that much."

Faith made sure to contact [member="Draco Vereen"] to meet her here, she wanted him to see the Winery and taste the wine they would serve, and provide to their guests to take home as a small gift.

She wanted to see all of this for herself she had never been inside a winery before, it was the smell that kept filling her senses that made her want to stay longer. Not the sour fermenting smell of the grapes but the feeling of the wood warmth that told her it was safe. The care placed in creating each bottle, each one bearing the Organa insignia. So much history her family had, and soon Draco would be part of that history.

He already was but he would officially become her consort on Aldera soon. And then their children would arrive. oh my, so busy.

Wineries, vineyards, and gardens. Alderaan had many of these things on it, its people having been devoted to peace before the One Sith Vongformed the world, and now that the world was returning to its natural state, the people were returning to that as well.

The economy of Alderaan was flourishing again with the Royal Engineers producing ships again, farmers, miners exporting phrik, and the many luxury items Alderaan produced, one of which was wine. According to Faith, House Organa had been known for its emerald wine a long time ago, and she was planning on bringing it back, much like how she had helped bring back moss painting. Her home's heritage was what she loved, what she had striven to return to its former glory. He couldn't blame her, in fact he loved that she was like that, that she had set her stubborn determination to something so benevolent.

His transport arrived at the winery after he finished his business on Taris, and the Mandalorian disembarked and was being lead towards the winery itself, the large vineyard stretching for acres behind the building. It looked almost like a noble's estate with its elegance. Hopefully Faith would come and cling to his arm, lead him around and help him not look like an uncultured ruffian. When she was with him, few noticed him anyway.

Faith walked outside to meet Draco, "We really need to teach you to ride a thranta, it will help keep the environment clean. And just think how you will look on one" She smiled and laughed, "Come inside, let met show you around, let me introduce you to the staff. And then the fun part you get to taste."

She did take his arm and bring him inside, "This is Mr. Baliss he has all the knowledge in how to set up wineries, and how to ferment the grapes and store the wine. He has bartered with other growers off world to get the seedlings we needed to start the vines."

Outside the vines were as far as could bee seen in the lush green valleys, growing and each one produced the emerald grapes that would be harvested and then pressed.

"Do you know anything about making wine Draco?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled when he saw Faith, his mood lightening almost instantly. She had that effect on him. Whenever he was worried, bothered, or nervous, just being around her calmed him, reassured him, and left the Mandalorian in a more peaceful state of mind. "One day you will teach me how to ride one, and I will enjoy you teaching me to do something you love." With her pregnancy they didn't have a lot of time between now and when she wouldn't be able to ride the creatures, certainly not enough time to teach him to fly.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Baliss. I'm sure I will enjoy your wines." Was that what he was supposed to tell a vitner? He didn't know, but he did enjoy being lead through the building by Faith, her grip on his arm keeping him centered. The vineyard was beautiful, exactly what he imagined when someone said House Organa Vineyards.

"Not especially, ner runi. Wine making isn't one of the things I've studied in the past couple of years. Heck, I'm not sure I've studied wine tasting all that often either." He smiled, but a lot of culture had passed him by while he was raised middle class, he hadn't really taken to upper class living being a Mandalorian. "You will have to teach me. Perhaps private tutoring with the right incentives and I will master it before long."

She shook her head, "Such a heathen I'm in love with. But honestly the only thing I know is how to pour it in a glass and drink it. If it tastes good great, if not eh next bottle" She moved through the place easily the vats filled with emerald green grapes waiting to be pressed. "They can either be picked by people or by droids. I think if people needs jobs we should employ them rather than the droids."

Faith leaned close, "We will get a few bottles to keep and try them out after the twins are born" She took him into the bottling room, "Now I was thinking that we can give all our guests a bottle. It would look something like this what do you think?"

She wanted him involved in some of the decisions, not all, but some, this was one.

Draco plucked up one of the bottles and examined it closely. The rich green color was different. In fact he had never heard of emerald wine before Faith had begun talking about it recently. Reds and whites he'd heard of, and was certain he had tasted a few over a couple of dinners, but never emerald wine. "I like it. It looks pretty." His hand ran over the symbol of the twin doves on the dark bottle. He supposed the dark bottle was to protect the wine from the light.

"You mean you can try them after the twins are born." Draco grinned, sweeping his storm grey eyes over her before taking a less teasing tone. "I'm sure we will have many a candle light dinner with a bottle of these once the twins are born and you are able to pry yourself from them." He knew Faith. For the first six months at least she probably wouldn't leave them unless her office required it of her, and even then it would have to be an emergency to get her to leave her babes. But once she was comfortable leaving them with a sitter, Draco intended on getting her used to be treated properly. They had moved quickly to engaged and babies on the way, after they were married would be when he could spoil her with dates and outings.

"I think its a good idea, cyar'ika." He looked around. He could see there was plenty, and some would be held and aged, and that there would be other batches. "I like that we will be sharing a piece of your family's history with everyone. Its a sweet gesture on a day that is all about you." Even when planning her own wedding she was thinking about other people.

It sounded odd coming from him, it looks pretty , "It is pretty Draco, it's a reminder for anyone who has the bottle they can keep it for as long as they want, or they can drink it either way perhaps they will think, Hey we got that at that fancy wedding." Faith leaned on Draco for a moment.

"Lots of candle light dinners, or just candle light and privacy hmm" She put her hand into his. "Changes, good changes." She knew her focus would change, but her duties would be juggled, they had discussed it many times. Draco was concerned he wanted her safe, and them together as a family. His vision of the future, his dream. She wanted these things to, but she wasn't asking him to sit on the sidelines while the Vod fought did she? No.

Anyhow.

She frowned a moment, "It is a day for us, but yes I will be the center of attention" She laughed but looking at Mr. Baliss who was doing his best to give them privacy, "Mr. Baliss how many bottles do we have now that will be ready for gifting in 3 months?"

Mr. Baliss looked down, he began counting to himself, "For your guests we will be sure to have enough to give away" Faith understood he didn't know, and he didn't want to disappoint her.

"Draco do you want to walk in the vineyard with me? I think my Uncle [member="Ordo"] would love the richness of the soil, and how green the vines are"

The Mandalorian soothed in her touch, the gentle feeling of her hand finding its way into his grasp. He could handle the future for her, Draco knew he could. The cold dark green bottle in his other hand, the silver engraving of twin doves on the facing of the bottle. She had probably slaved over ensuring everything was perfect, finding time to plan their wedding in addition to her daily duties as Minister of Intelligence and Princess of Alderaan. How she found time to do everything, he didn't know. She likely delegated a lot of it out to others like he had done with many of his responsibilities, and Ana was an expert with working her schedule.

"That fancy wedding?" He smiled, "I'm sure there will be some that cherish it forever, that wine bottle they got from the Princess. I just hope whoever I invite doesn't cause a ruckus." He was certain that the few he would invite would be well behaved. Most of his allies that were Dark Side were dead or missing, and it wasn't like they had a mailing address listed anywhere. "Lots of candle light dinners and privacy, I hope. We have a long time together, but I want to make the most of it."

Draco let the man in charge of the winery speak and let Faith ask him her questions. Draco wasn't well versed in wine drinking, making, or grape growing, Faith and Mr. Baliss knew much more than him, and she would know which questions to ask. Draco just wanted to ensure there was enough to give Faith her perfect wedding day. "Yes, I would love to walk around the grounds, let you show me around." He smiled, what more could he want? Certainly the love of a beautiful princess, a family that cared for him, and a place he could be peaceful would be enough.
