Greetings + A Few Starter Questions

Hello guys! I'm glad I could have the opportunity to join this role-play forum. I've been a Star Wars fan since age 5, so I have been exposed to the macrocosm of the franchise. Before I create a character and start role-playing though, I have a few questions:

1. If I were to make a Jedi character, would I automatically have the rank of Padawan/Apprentice, or do I have to apply for it?

2. What force powers would my character start out with?

3. How does force training work on here?

4. Is the website based on the Expanded Universe or what Disney deems canon? (I have a good guess on which one it is, but I want to know for sure)

If someone could answer these questions, I would be very grateful.

1. Yes, you get it automatically
2. Whatever you want, but keep in mind that you're character begins untrained. Start low and train with masters and knight to works up
3. You talk to some of the higher ranking Masters/Lords to see if they'll train you

1. yes you will start out as a padawan unless you are pulling a character over from another board, if so you can be grandfatherd in to a higher rank.

2. most open to use, that said for the Uber powerful ones usually the rp judges will like to see a lot of work in to get it.

3. you can get a PC master and do training threads, create a npc and thread or do threads where your power grows over time and be recognized for the effort by a faction or master.

4. extended Legend canon is accepted, mostly via the wookie.

If someone could answer these questions, I would be very grateful.

1. You can start as a Padawan, you don't need to apply for that.
2. You would start out as whatever a Padawan could reasonable know for a new-ish trainee. Basic sabre skills, telekinesis, sense, etc. We don't keep lists, so anything within reason.
3. Usually you'd join a faction or post in the LFG forum looking for a master who'd then train you.
4. We're set 850 years after Yavin so both are acceptable. There was a cataclysmic dark age (see the timeline for details) so much of the past is legends.
