Greetings,

So my name is Braiden, i've never really done forum roleplay before, save with a man whom I consider my brother; however, i have real time roleplayed on a chat site called habbo.com and watched forum roleplay take place before, some forum roleplays that write literally books during a post simply don't intrigue me because I don't feel like putting in the work that it takes to read and to be able to reply to a post of that magnitude. Nonetheless I have come here because even though the majority of you seem like fantastic writers, you don't have to write a novel per post to interest me and be artists.

With that being said, correct me if i'm wrong but you have the ranking system for Sith/Jedi as Jedi Padawan being first and Sith apprentice being first; however, does that mean we start with a master or is it just the rank you start off as and you gain a master then take place in trials once ready to become knight? I'm not quite sure, it's not a dig at anyone just confusion i'd like to be cleared up before creating my character.

Welcome to SWRP.

Force users start at the Apprentice/Padawan rank unless transferring. You find a trainer and they'll train you up until they promote you to Knight and so on.

That said, time for a shameless plug. The Echani Compact is always looking for more Echani. The link is below my sig. Take a look. Even if it's not for this character you're planning to make, we always welcome you in the future.

Welcome! What the guys above have said is right. You'll start off as a Jedi Padawan or Sith Apprentice (if you want to be one, there are lots of other options!) and go from there!

Have fun, and feel free to ask any of us questions here or by PM!

Thank you all, I have one last question before starting to endeavor into dominions and the sorts, to become a Sith Knight I don't technically have to have a Master? Simply do roleplaying for the Sith and with the Sith, and when they deem it ready they deem me Sith Knight? I apologize for the lack of knowledge here, simply I come from a different roleplaying community that's more real-time so it's a different custom for sure; however, I enjoy this writing style much more, and it's much more relaxed.

Just watched that movie not two minutes ago, I adore Achilles' fighting style.

It is certainly possible to become a knight without a master, but you won't have anyone to automatically vouch for you, and will have to do a lot more work I'd say. For a knew writer it'd be easier if you took on a Master, especially as they can help teach you some things OOC as well as IC, but it's your choice ultimately.

Welcome :)

It's always nice to have a master, often you'll form a nice ic bond and have someone to have your back. I was a Padawan twice with Middy since I enjoyed it so much :p

Oh Darron, I may on a seperate character when I get this character sorted. I get far too attached to some of my characters though. Perhaps I can be patroclous! (hopefully just not die in the same way.)
