- Heavy Hitter: The Moonlighter is a very aggressive and fast starship, placing heavy emphasis on offensive weaponry and propulsion systems to make the Moonlighter a very heavy-hitting starfighter.
- Stealthrunner: A variety of technologies, including but not limited to Roble Manufacturing's Yggdrasil cloaking device allow the Moonlighter to be a stealthy ship if needed.
- Large Profile: The Moonlighter has a larger ship profile than most standard starfighters, meaning it's easier to target and hit purely because of its physical size.
- Squadron Count: Each starfighter is its own 'squadron' making it a poor choice as a hangar complement.
Rediscovered by Enclave-friendly artificers, the frame of the GRL-109 Moonlighter-class Starfighter is a relic from a bygone era when the Outer Rim was controlled only by those lawless enough to enforce it. It was the golden era for bounty hunters and mercenaries, where someone who was good with a blaster could make a suitable living as an outlaw. The Moonlighter seeks to reinvoke that sense of lawlessness and power in the hands of gunslingers.
With a sleek hull and streamlined design, the Moonlighter heavily emphasizes two things; its offensive armament, designed to be deadly in a dogfight or against capital ships, and its speed, powered by powerful propulsion systems. But it also benefits from some slightly less obvious abilities; specifically, its stealth systems. It has both a stealth shroud and cloaking device, which work to basically give the Moonlighter the ability to potentially move unseen if it so wishes.
For under the light of the moon, the owl who moves silently will successfully hunt their prey.
