Description:
Designed by Lussk Logistics to provide the galaxy with a new design hoped to be as famous as the B1, the Grunt-series was born. With the same height as the B1 Battle droid and a slightly thicker frame, the Grunt-series was heavily based off of the B1's design. Complimented with advanced programming and designated tasks, the Grunt-series hit the market and battlefield with a boom. Color coded for tasks, the Grunt has 4 colors. Red = Security, Blue = Technical, Yellow = Officer, and Brown = Infantry. The colors are organized in a vertical pattern down the center of their head and across their torso and back.
The Red/Security class has advanced guard and patrol parameters, mainly being stationed on vessels or territory where manpower is an issue. Standard procedure will dictate the Security Grunts to report to their commander, and the investigate or engage. They're useful for guarding and patrolling, but lack the combat abilities of the Infantry class and the cognitive skills of the Officer class. Decent in combat, decent in intelligence.
The Blue/Tech class wields an awesome knowledge and can be updated with schematic designs of thousands of vehicles/starships. Not suited for combat unless piloting combat vehicles, these droids were usually positioned aboard starships as an engineer crew to make repairs and maintain the systems of the vessel. Can also be used to pilot starfighters, man guns, make repairs, or serve as logistics crew. Horrible in combat, exceptional in technical jobs.
The Yellow/Officer class possess an advanced cognitive function which allows the model to lead other droids as well as organics almost as well as any organic officer. The only flaw in its programming is the adaptability that organics have. It is extremely difficult for the Officer class to almost instantly adapt to an ever-changing combat situation. Decent in combat, highly intelligent and somewhat adaptable.
The Brown/Infantry are the most numerous of the Grunt models. These units have enhanced targeting systems and are the best out of all classes when it comes to combat. They are adaptable to environments and this allows them to enter subzero, temperate, volcanic, and zero gravity environments. They, however, always need leadership of an Officer model or an organic officer. They can somewhat act on their own but need leadership to accomplish more complicated tasks. Exceptional at combat situations when in great numbers, can also wield a large variety of weaponry. Good in combat, poor in intelligence, requires leadership.
