STRENGTHS:
Fierce fighter - Gry has a bloodlust like no other. As a result, he has trained his skills to a remarkable level which makes him a formidable opponent in any theater. He can assess his surroundings expertly and alter his fighting style based on the query he faces.
Cunning - Despite the violent tendencies he exhibits, Gry is competent at picking apart others and manipulating them. His eloquent vocabulary and tact suggests he is rather intelligent, and he is known for his psychological stamina to a point where he could defeat lesser foes simply by talking them out of a fight. After this, he is likely to respond by attacking said foes when their defenses are lowered.
Feared - Gry has an outstanding ability to inspire dread upon allies and enemies alike. It is due in part to his large stature and armored visage coupled with the intense psychological anomalies such as anger, aggression, and lack of remorse that he brings to bear. His endurance contributes to why others fear him, as he can withstand pain that many cannot.
WEAKNESSES:
Widespread injuries - After being captured on Concordia, Gry was tortured beyond reason which resulted in damage done to his lung function, cardiovascular distress, ruined corneas, long term scarring, and warped bones. Though most of his injuries were corrected over time, Gry is forced to don an artificial respiratory system and photoreceptors which regulate and maintain body function. He is completely dependent on this life support system.
Psychologically unstable - Gry has little to no concept of morality, these concepts were removed after enduring over five years of torturous imprisonment. He is quick to anger, displays a sadomasochistic obsession with pain, and possesses an insatiable desire to instill this pain unto others.
Distrustful - Given his past, Gry finds it impossible to give his trust to anyone but himself. This makes it all but impossible to forge any meaningful alliances let alone work efficiently with anyone. Any alliance he may be able to create would be loose and uneasy at its very best.
APPEARANCE:
Gry stands at an impressive six-foot-four and weighs 194 pounds unencumbered. His face is a sickly looking pale-gray color, however he is not at all gaunt. In fact, Gry is quite muscular. His physique mirrors his past, as he is covered from head to toe with scars and abrasions. His nickname Scarface derives from a large scar which extends from his left cheek to his chin, however it is always covered by his rebreather.
Gry wears a personalized set of adaptive armor on his chest and legs, and his forearms and hands are protected by gauntlets which mirror the traditional Mandalorian style. This armor is fashioned from hardened duraplast plating, and beneath his chestpiece are several needles which prod him regularly in order to calculate the status of his body. The armor would be considered extremely painful to wear should someone other than Gry wear it, however he feels at his most comfortable under a constant level of discomfort. Beneath it, he wears a grey synthweave body glove which seals him from outside interference, which has proven to withstand extreme cold and extreme heat to a reasonable extent.
His all terrain boots are apt for most environmental conditions, and Gry even fitted the heels of his footwear with powerful magnetic strips which he can activate at will so that he remain stationary on metallic surfaces. Gry can typically be seen wearing a long shata leather overcoat which is lined with fur. Gry’s father passed the garment to his son after he died. It was the latter’s only material possession. Gry has since modified the overcoat with an armorweave inlay. Gry’s belt houses a holster for his blaster pistol, a lightsaber hook, and a small backup generator which serves as a redundant failsafe for his life support in the unlikely event that it fail.

BIOGRAPHY:
"Not without a shudder may the human hand reach into the mysterious urn of destiny."
The details of Gryphus Antares have been shrouded in secrecy since his birth. Even those with any inherent knowledge of the fact have condemned themselves to silence. What is known, however, is that he was born in the final days of Elona, 811 ABY on the planet Thrysus to an immediate family of indentured servants to what little remained of the former Sun Guard. Needless to say the environment of slavery coupled with his battle hardened masters made Gry's life all but easy. Throughout his youth, he was often beaten and mistreated, used as a literal punching bag for those above him to enjoy. It wasn't all as horrible as it seemed though, for despite their gruff demeanor, the Sith cultists were at the very least willing to pass down values of a warrior to Gry as he grew into a young man.
At the age of seven, Gry watched his Sun Guard masters beat his own mother to death, so he was never able to create a meaningful relationship with his progenitor. Still, he henceforth resented the masters, often speaking and acting against them in what ever way he could. His subterfuge would never go unpunished, and the beatings only intensified from there. While few can say they've been to the brink of death, clinging onto life within inches was normal for Gry. There were more than several instances where Gry considered embracing death if not to escape the rampage of the Sun Guard. His father, however, was adamant that Gry was meant for something beyond servitude. It was with his father's inspiration at heart that Gry accepted his fate and took his punishment in as much stride as he could muster.
Around the time of his tenth year of life, a Sun Guard berserker by the name of Vexel began to take a very personal interest in the boy. Perhaps it was Vexel's morbid fascination with Gry's resiliency that prompted him to extend his arm. Whatever the reason, Gry never questioned it, but he never fully cooperated either. The memories of his mother's fate had not left him, and they probably would never, but Vexel was insistent upon gaining a modicum of Gry's trust. How dare he? Looking to his father for guidance, he was only told to learn and listen, but never devote himself to Vexel. And so he did. Feigning trust, Gry began a long trial with Vexel, who began an intense barrage of training. At a young age, Gry did surprisingly well under Vexel's tutelage. The mischievous boy analyzed Vexel's teachings as accurately as his undeveloped mind could. In the Sun Guard culture, it was customary to begin training future combatants as early as possible, and Vexel wasted no time in doing so.
Vexel's actual motivation stemmed from his desire to take control of the estranged Sun Guard clans who had found themselves scattered since the fall of the First Galactic Empire. Their persistence to survive through nearly 800 years interested Gry immensely, and he desired to mimic such pliancy and apply it to his own life. There even came a point where he began to actively pursue the goals Vexel had set forth for him. By the age of twelve, he was remarkably fit, understood the concepts of combat, and was a skilled fighter to boot - for his age of course. Vexel was attempting to groom Gry as a weapon, a tool to silence those who challenged his leadership, and nothing more. It was with that detail that he kept Gry mostly in the dark when it came to the political balance of the organization. The way he saw it, the less Gry knew, the more inclined he would be to obey.
This was not the case, and Gry began to assume Vexel's intentions after being brought along on a mission to destroy supply lines which were hidden about in Thrysus' urban decay. Gry did everything that was asked of him on this mission, but his curiosity tempted his hand. Vexel imposed strict orders to merely mark the supply caches with a laser designator so that more skilled Guards could later destroy them. Gry disobeyed as soon as the opportunity presented himself and embarked to inspect the caches. To his surprise, they were marked with the Sun Guard's own emblem. Using what sense he had, Gry deduced that Vexel's objective was to destroy the Sun Guard's own supplies in order to deceive them into thinking they faced a greater enemy than themselves. Gry could only assume that Vexel meant to dispose of the Guards who were meant to destroy the targets as to silence them and further his conspiracy. With that, he would rally the Sun Guard and take control of the clan without being questioned in order to confront the threat their people faced. Vexel's logic was sound, however what he did not consider was the prying eye of his young pupil. Secretly, Gry erased the electronic tags placed on the caches and replaced them on civilian structures.
When the Sun Guard fighters followed Vexel's request that several critical targets be destroyed, they unwittingly destroyed the civilian targets which Gry marked instead. Outraged with his insolence, the Sun Guard's senior leadership expelled Vexel, stripping him of his armor and weapons. Vexel traced the failure of his mission back to Gry, but did not immediately confront him. Gry was even under the impression that Vexel did not know of his deception. He would soon learn the dangers of his naivety, though. Vexel approached Gry with another scheme to regain his spot within the Guard's inner circle. Gry was now thirteen years old, and for all intents and purposes, he was still considered to be a slave to the Sun Guard. His masters would not allow Vexel to take Gry again, and refused to permit the boy's travel with the exiled warrior. It was then that Vexel made the revelation: Gry was actually responsible for realigning the targets to civilian structures.
Astounded, the Sun Guard prepared to exile Gry from their civilization as well, however the boy then responded by pointing out Vexel's original intentions. This was just as Vexel wished, for they were both ousted. Vexel then took Gry by force, making a personal slave out of him. Vexel still had use for Gry, so death would not be an escape. Obsessed with regaining the Sun Guard's trust, Vexel (with Gry in tow) chartered a transport to Concordia, one of the moons of the Mandalorian home world. It was here that Vexel sought to discover a vein of Mandalorian Iron that he could use as a bribery measure to his estranged companions. If he could provide the Sun Guard with adequate armor and perhaps even weaponry and relay the coordinates back to Thrysus, then by his logic, they would welcome him home. Gry knew, however, that this was not logical let alone practical, but rather the musings of a mad man who was slowly losing touch with reality.
An increasingly reckless Vexel proposed that he and Gry invade a camp of what appeared to be unindoctrinated Mandalorians who did not represent a particular clan or affiliation. If he could find the group's leader, overpower him, defeat he armed detail, and finally force him to give up the location of an ore vein, his mission would be a success. Gry was clearheaded enough to realize the suicidal nature of this mission, but was depressed enough to accept the parameters. Perhaps he could finally die to escape the clutches of Vexel the Lunatic. This was desperation at its very finest, but he would not go alone. Before charging headstrong into the small compound, Gry attempted to take arms against Vexel. He pointed his blaster pistol at Vexel and ordered him to surrender his weapons, however the duo had been flanked. Two Mandalorian warriors anticlimactically knocked Gry unconscious and stunned Vexel.
When he came to, Gry found himself suspended upside down in a force cage. In an adjacent cell was Vexel, who appeared to bear the marks of Mandalorian torturers who had already taken the liberty to interrogate him. Before he could make sense of his surroundings, he was quickly recovered by the jailer and sent to the interrogators himself. At this stage, little is known about Gry's experiences with the torturers, and to this day he generally refuses to acknowledge the details. Evidence of non-lethal nerve toxins is present based on healed lesions around his torso. In addition to, his rib cage's later need for surgical intervention implies that an astounding level of bludgeoning from a blunt object, most likely a rifle butt or an asp, occurred frequently. Most gruesomely of all was the damage done to his eyes, after his captors would force him to stare at the sun for several minutes at a time. This also occurred regularly, and before long his retinas were seared so badly that they no longer functioned. The "interrogations" never happened, he was not asked a single question during his five year stay in this prison camp.
Broken and emaciated, Gry clung to life alongside Vexel. Out of sheer amusement for his plight, the faction's apparent leader made a bargain with the eighteen-year-old. He would release him unconditionally if he could prove he was a true warrior. Apparently he and Vexal insulted the Mandalorians those five years ago by masquerading as warriors when they in fact were, in the Mandalorians' esteemed opinion, the farthest things from warriors. Out of sadistic spite, the Warmaster informed Gry that he could either prove his strength or die. With all things considered: his current state of mind, his physical decay, and his terrifying injuries, the Warmaster had no expectations that Gry would impress him enough to actually earn his freedom. Gry considered simply accepting death, but he clung to the notion that he would not go alone. Released from his cage, he made a simple request, that Vexel be released from his cage as well. Intrigued, his captors complied, and dragged a weak and powerless Vexel before Gry. Vexel could barely muster the strength to look at his former student.
Within an instant, every painful memory of his childhood, of his training under Vexel, and of his horrendous five-year purgatory in the prison camp flooded Gry's mind. Blinded, Gry could still "see" Vexel before him in the form of his energy. A sudden burst of strength came to the young man, and before he could make sense of what was happening to himself, he was already beating Vexel to death on the cold durasteel floor. The attack was savage and animalistic, blood and gore lined the room when Gry was finished. All he could do was sob, continuing to strike at Vexel's corpse as the burst of strength slowly left him and returned him to his weakened state. From the shadows of the room came a voice. "He'll do fine."
SHIP:
Gry utilizes a heavily modified Sienar Systems Star Courier which he dubbed “The Eradicator.” The vessel possesses adequate enough firepower to withstand space combat, however because it is not considered a fighter craft, Gry relies on “The Eradicator’s” impressive speed and hyperdrive rating to escape a fight he cannot maintain superiority in. In lieu of a spherical cabin area like most Star Couriers, “The Eradicator’s” is flat and angular. Within it is a small personal quarters area for long voyages, a force cell for transporting prisoners, and a cargo locker for weapons and provisions.
WEAPONRY:
Modified short barrel Sacros K-11 blaster pistol
Red-bladed lightsaber
9-inch combat vibroknife with electrum knuckler
