Guardian armor

So, I have been seeing how sith uses all sorts of force imbued equipment and I figured that oerhaps we need to go there as well.

There are developed armors for the jedi shadow that seem wesome but tbey are also constructed with stealth in mind.
I was thinking that a jedi armor built with just battle in mind could be even more sturdy and good. If one exist, point me to it, otherwise keep reading.

Perhaps it could even have those healing crystals (I read about them somewhere in here but cant find it again) implemented.
Also, sit armors sometime empowrr dark side force abilites. Can we do the same with light side abilities?

Gotta be honest, I am not good with state of the art stuff like this, I need help. I can definately help with dev threads though but not sure where to start.

So I need someone to figure out how we can do this good, with whatever asvantages we can get hold of.

[member="Taeli Raaf"] - can aurora build such an armor?
[member="Corvus Raaf"] - would the jedi order "fund/support" the construction of this? Perhaps Corvus could start it by summoning Mantic and order him to assist some engineers to create it? A first dev thread so to speak.

I have to say I'm rubbish when it comes to anything that ends up in the factory. Three Sabres and one Holocron in over a year is my entire experience.

And I could be wrong but we may already have other armour (we should create a list in the resources forum with armour, ships etc. IMHO).

And Taeli will tell you what I think of armour LOL. You'll never catch Corvus wearing it unless her sister makes her. IC Corvus believes the Force is a Jedi's armour and has only worn armour for the one thread that she promised to (given how much work Taeli put into the robes).

OOC I hate toys, as PvP should be PvP not TOYSvTOYS (just my opinion of course).

So, my advice is to engage Taeli for both - because Corvus would never instigate this (although she wouldn't block it either).

Well, to be honest I very much prefer the jedi robe chsracter over armored ones. But since gear seem to play such an important in pvp and thus invasions, I thought it might be worth to raise the question.

I am no fsn of the factory and If there is no need I certainly wont spend time and energy on it ;)

I feel the use of toys has become something of an arms race.

Me? I have reached the point where I tend to fight people who don't use toys. Because to negate them means I have to metagame, which I won't do. Or if I come up against someone who is laden with toys and have committed to fight, I never read what they have. Because IC my characters don't have access to the factory submissions LOL

One recent Invasion for one of my characters lasted a couple of posts, because they had a toy I could only oppose through metagaming. So the character was knocked unconscious without even engaging them in combat. But that's RPing. And I'm always going to take that approach.

Sadly it means the number of people I can fight is dwindling, as there is no value in committing to a duel with someone that you can't hit, or if you do, your saber shorts out.

But that is just me. Some people love to create stuff in the Factory, and good luck to them :)

The greatest advantage and armor a writer can have in PvP, is a great relationship with their partner.

By experience alone, I've written dozen of threads with Jedi Masters wearing even the most exotic of metals and ceremonial regalia. Impervious and strong. Yet nothing that even comes close to the soft protection that is offered by the easy balance of give-and-take between writers at play. So while I'm over here creating Tier 10 armor made from Beskar dust and the infinite mists of the Netherworld? I never forget that the strongest armor a character can have is the knowledge that no matter what happens on the battlefields. It's all just a game.

Cheers and good luck on your armor building. One day, we'll all realize that we never needed it at all. :D

So, I read about this armor. since we are entering an invasion with sithy sith folks I thought it would be good because its intended to offer some protection against their Vongy... eh.. vango...? er... frek....

That strange equipment they keep using.

It says restricted to jedi guardians. Does that mean I can use it or do I need to actually be promoted to knight to become a "real guardian" first?
Also, is there any other equipment developed that might be suited for guardians. I can find neat stuff for shadows but not guardians listed.

Thanks a bunch. But I think Mantic is more of a stick to the assigned equipment kinda guy. If the order has an armor he will use it.
will keep the offer in mind if character progression alter him though ;)
