ADVANCED FEATURES
- Power Armor: The armor worn by Illyria's royal guard is considered a heavily downgraded version of power armor. With a dedicated power supply this set of armor can double the wearer's natural strength and speed for a limited time. It also helps to protect the wearer from things such as blaster fire and the blade of a lightsaber. In the event that the power supply runs out, the armor will still hold a decent defense, however the wearer will be forced to feel the total weight of the armor and it's systems.
- Dynetech Shield Array System: This armor takes personal shielding to the next level. As the wearer, with the aid of an automated computer system, can effectively product deflector shields that can not only defend the wearer, but be projected to defend another person as long as they are within three meters of the armor. These shields are standard deflector shields and no stronger than the average personal deflector shield, however they are able to defend a larger area due to their ability to be projected.
- Artemis Flight System: The advanced flight pack used with this armor is capable of hours of sustained flight. The repulsor pack has a jet-option in the event of zero gravity circumstances, however it is limited to ten minutes of sustained flight before it will run out of fuel. The repulsor pack is ION shielded to ensure that the flight systems can not be deactivated by an outside force.
- Résilient: The Guardsmen's Vow is intended to be an extrmely resilient set of armor. Alimenté: Thanks to the powercell providing a steady supply of energy to the armor, it is capable of granting the wearer over twice the strength and speed he would normally have outside of the armor. This makes sustained combat in the armor, which would otherwise be impossible, an advantage. As the wearer is less likely to utilize his stamina in the early stages of combat that makes it the idea time for him to seize victory.
Design Polyvalent: This armor is outfitted to give the wearer the advantage in numerous situations. It's versatility makes it the idea set of armor in most modern forms of warfare.
Bouclier Du Roi: One of the greatest defensive capabilities of this set of armor is it's capability to deploy and project personal energy shields. These deflector shields can only be projected a few meters out at a time, but they can mean the difference between life and death for the wearer and others.
- Les Eléments: For any set of armor, resiliency of the elements is a factor that must be taken into account. For Guardsmen's Vow, this was not something seen as a priority to the research team. As the armor has no interior heating/cooling it is not ideal for operating in extreme heat/cold for long periods of time. This will lead to faster fatigue and potential medical complications.
- Aucune Puissance: If by some chance, the armor's power supply is destroyed, knocked out, or exhausted then the wearer will be forced to deal with the entire weight of the phrik plates and the extremely packed systems that the armor employs. While there are minor redundant systems in place to keep the entirety of the armor from being knocked out by EMP/ION attacks, the power pack is undefended from such things.
- Lourd: The armor, even with the power pack activated, is no light set of armor. As the power pack's main function is to keep the thermal gel at optimal temperatures and enhance the wearer's strength, it does not deplete the entirety of the weight that Guardsmen's Vow has.
The Guardians of the Royal family of Illyria would need an exceptional set of armor if they were to defend the royal family. This particular set of armor was designed to grant the Garde Des Rois with all they needed to preserve the lives of the royal family. Guardsmen's Vow is a state of the art set of power armor that utlizes a thermal gel and reinforced Phrik plates to keep the wearer safe from harm, both kinetic and plasma based. The armor is able to keep a lightsaber at bay and has a number of systems to aid the wearer in combat. When Dynetech designed the armor they took significant motivation from the armor utilized by the Knight's Obsidian of the Confederacy, however a number of the added systems were implemented to ensure that the Guardsmen would have no trouble in protecting the royal family. Capable of enhancing the wearer's strength and speed two-fold the power armor can maintain it's energy stores for a number of weeks if not in sustained combat. When entered into combat, the energy reserves can be quickly depleted by using the shields/flight system. When in sustained combat, the armor is capable of running optimaly for one to two hours.
Along with an incredible shield design, the armor is also outfitted with advanced flight systems. These systems allow for sustained flight at high speeds for an indefinite amount of time. The repulsor pack that the armor employs is also outfitted with jets to support jetpack flight, however it has a very small fuel tank and can only keep up flight for about ten minutes.
The armor worn by the Royal Guard was designed by their King, Adron Malvern. The Knightly appearence of the armor was chosen due to the prominence of noble families on illyria who devoted their children to the guard. Eventually it was decided that to become a member of the Garde Des Rois, one must be of noble birth or selected by the King himself to be Knighted. An amethyst sash flows from the armor's shoulder down over the chestpiece, a mark of the King's standard and his favor. The colors of the Royal Guard are the same of House Malvern, black and purple.
