DESCRIPTION

The Guavian Stun Baton is one of those rare, straightforward devices that sometimes happen to pass through the factory. By appearances, it is not a very intimidating weapon. It appears as most stun batons do: a long, black durasteel cylinder with a flanged head that buzzes with electricity when switched on. The grip of the baton is wrapped in a soft, comfortable insulant grooved to fit the form of human fingers. Because racism. There are three plastic buttons that extend from the side of the hilt for easy access: two which adjust the setting either up or down and one which activates and deactivates the baton. The baton can also retract for easier carrying and concealment.

Much of the Helix Syndicate’s work involves reminding people of their obligations. Whether they be an average joe with delinquent debts, a blackmailed fellow with tasks to carry out, or a miner toiling away in one of the Syndicate’s lives, their status is the same: they’re only useful if they’re alive. Tiring of the more mundane stun batons they were forced to use in addition to just their fists, Helix Syndicate Enforcers demanded an easier way to do business. The Syndicate responded with the Guavian Stun Baton, named after the Guavians that formed the backbone of their predecessor organization.

While deactivated, the Guavian Stun Baton may function as a regular baton. The only time the baton is utilized in this manner, usually, is when it runs out of charge. When switched on, being struck by the stun baton will result in electrocution and, thanks to integration of now commonplace Ssi-Ruu paddle beamer technology, paralysis of the struck area. The baton features variable settings. The higher the setting, the more pronounced the effects. At maximum capacity, even species as large as Wookies can find themselves floored by a decisive crack of the baton.

Be that as it may, power drain is the primary issue with the stun baton. At the highest setting, the battery only contains enough power for a handful of swings. Further, each successive swing runs the risk of shorting the baton out entirely and necessitating its replacement. Even when not kept at the highest setting, the stun baton requires frequent charging periods to maintain maximum effectiveness.

Weight: About as much as a baton with a big ol’ battery in it should.
If you could please provide an actual number for here, then that should be all you need.
