FTP Guild Wars 2

There are some pretty heavy restrictions placed on FTP accounts. Such as having to unlock privileges as you level up one by one. Including the Trading Post (Auction House). So it is not the endless, endless freedom that it is for paying customers. But you can play all the Original Content just like everybody else. So it is a ton of fun and feels a lot like getting a whole MMO of content for free. Which is amaz'ballz.

The Expansion - October 23rd

FTP accounts can't play the new expansion that is coming out soon either. So jump in now while all the veterans are still doing the original game. The expansion launches October 23rd. So you have about a month to play the game with all the veteran players there to help you out and give you free stuff too. I joined a Guild with my FTP account and people were practically throwing free low level gear at me. It was great.

The Guild Wars 2 Forums & Wiki

This game has been out for awhile now, so all the bugs are taken care of. PvP is balanced and the Character Classes all have written guides on the Official GW2 Forums. The Wikia is flawless too. So you can literally learn everything about this game just by reading, if you want. The resources are amazing and complete.

Right. Guild Wars 2 is Buy-to-Play. You buy the game and then play it. No subs every month. Just one up front price. That's it. ...Also. The Expansion will include the original game with every purchase. So, buy, bam, play. Easy as pie.

FTP accounts cost nothing however. Just give them an email when you register and boom! Away you go. They hope to bring in new players who will get hooked and buy the Expansion to keep playing. So yeah.
