Deep within the underbelly of Karkaris, nature boomed with the growing numbers of native Karnissadon. The species went largely uncontested — apex predators as they were, populations hardly dwindled as the years went on. With the introduction of deep sea spaceports and neighboring facilities, however, Karkaris' waters would gradually grow contaminated; dirtied with oils and smog, the planet's local ecosystems suffered a great penalty at the cost of preparing for the intergalactic war their people had been thrown into.
Efforts were made to conserve the Karnissadon by relocating them to corners untouched by underwater factories, though for many, the damage had already been done. At the time of relocation, one female had been pregnant for months, with industrial pollution having damaged her lung chamber to irreversible degrees from constant exposure. Consequentially, the fetus had also suffered from similar damages.
Thankfully, in large part to a Karnissadon's naturally speedy metabolism, the remaining months leading up to the spawn's birth had been spent combating its anticipated defects. A biological marvel, the pup had been born with a coat of antibiotic residue in its lungs, effectively dissolving the bacteria and leftover smog with perpetually replenishing spittle with properties not unlike bacta. The process had successfully salvaged its lung chamber, allowing it to breathe above water.
For the following three years of its lifespan, the pup lived as any other Karnissadon would. It gained something of a notoriety among locals upon the discovery of its healing saliva, a unique phenomenon among its species, which caught the attention of Karkaris researchers. The pup was contained for further study and flown to Scarif for easier documentation — wherein its transport was intercepted by gang of smugglers. The research team was unceremoniously slaughtered, and the Karnissadon pup was carried en route for auction.
What happens thereafter, for now, remains untold.

The Karnissadon pup is alike many other of its kind around similar ages — excitable, playful, and generally curious about the world around it. As far are its species go, this particular pup is relatively docile, having not displayed much fear of any visitors that had approached it thus far. With the development of its healing spittle, many Karkarodon natives took a shining to it, providing it with treats and attention in the times it would stray from its home in Karkaris' deep seas. It's started to teeth, enjoying the sensation of sinking its serrated chompers on anything it can, and is generally very receptive to physical affection.
Like many of its kind, the pup is deceptively smart, with its intellect being on par with that of a human three year old's. Following its captivity and subsequent acquiring by smugglers, the pup has grown slightly wary of those around it. It has also shown signs of aggression, though they stem mostly from a sense of fear.

STRENGTHS
- Karnissadon Physiology - As expected, the pup has many traits shared with his species. While his predatory abilities may not be at their fullest potential on account of still being a baby, the Karnissadon nonetheless boasts a myriad of qualities that make even the smallest of breeds worth keeping an eye out for.
- Semi-Aquatic - Capable of thriving both on land and on water courtesy of his respective lungs and gills.
- Apex Predator - Capable of dealing lethal damage to most organics should he sink those several rows of serrated teeth into exposed flesh.
- Bloodhound - Capable of sniffing out blood from hundreds of meters away, the pup makes for an excellent tracking tool.
- Structural Sturdiness - Capable of withstanding the blow of an average punch and kick courtesy of an absorbent, stocky build.
- Overflowing Lungs - Unique to this particular Karnissadon, the pup's lung chamber it uses for breathing above water is routinely replenished with a bodily fluid reminiscent of saliva. This was caused by a guttural auto-correct function to salvage its crippled lungs while in its mother's womb, whose body had been largely polluted. As a result, the pup boasts entirely new abilities.
- Healing Spit - Consisting of bacta-like properties, the pup's spittle is capable of mending injuries both inside and outside of its body. When applied to small wounds such as mild scabs and cuts, the restorative compound is often enough to completely reverse the damages. When applied to much larger wounds such as deep gashes, it's not enough to fully heal them, but nonetheless numbs the pain for varying durations.
- Watergun - Due to the overabundance of residue that pools up in his lung chamber, the pup needs to frequently empty it lest he start struggling to breathe. A particularly useful method of doing so is by spraying the water-like liquid out of his mouth like a hose, with all of the quirks that come with such an ability - such as extinguishing fires, watering plants, or knocking people back with its high pressure.
- Karnissadon Physiology - As with the positives that come with the species, the pup also suffers from many of the negatives.
- Face-to-Face - While he may stand a slightly better chance with his watergun, Karnissadon generally aren't adept at versing opponents out of melee range. He has little tools to combat far off foes, meaning he has to get in someone's face in order to be effective.
- Bloodlust - Like all Karnissadon, a primal instinct is triggered at the taste of blood, throwing him into a feral feeding frenzy. Having said that, those predatory instincts are a lot more diluted than they are for older members of his species, meaning it takes a substantially larger quantity of blood before the effect kicks in.
- Force Susceptibility - Karnissadon are vulnerable to Jedi mind tricks. Being a baby, he's extra weak against them.
- Pint-Sized - Try as he might, the pup is exactly that: a pup. He is incredibly small and easily dispatched should one get around his teeth, not having the body weight and staggering size that the adults of his species boast.
