The Gurgurant man-portable missile launcher actually uses mass driver technology to accelerate projectiles, such as concussion missiles and unguided ammunition such as bombs, including but not limited to, the Nadiem flechette canisters, or equivalently-sized rounds, up to 81mm in diameter. It also comes with two firing modes: standard-range, recommended when firing guided projectiles at highly maneuverable targets since the higher muzzle velocity of the long-range mode would force the missile to expend more energy to change course, but also when firing at targets within short ranges, and long-range, which is recommended when firing projectiles at distant targets. Also, high muzzle velocities have the added bonus of causing a lot of damage upon kinetic impact when unguided ammunition is fired. Using a similar traverse and elevation mount to CIWS systems, it can be fast-tracking and follow highly nimble targets.
However, achieving high muzzle velocities come at a cost: recoil is proportional to muzzle velocity, so, even with micro-repulsors, it has high recoil, and friction between the EM rails and the ammunition generates a lot of noise, so it's very easy to detect one being fired unless one is deaf. Furthermore, the magazine has limited capacity and can only fit one type of ammunition at a time. Finally, even with a free-floating barrel, which would allow it to maintain accuracy between shots, the T&E assembly can overheat fairly easily, which can be an issue during prolonged fights.
