STRENGTHS
- Does Your Lightsaber Do That?: The lightsaber auxiliary is an uncommon add on, making it seldom known and confusing to those who would be unused to such a device.
- Spin Me Round Baby: The parasol feature can spin the eight lightsaber blades rapidly, forming both a shield and an inquisitor style cutting tool. The spinning parasol also enables brief levitation.
- Fold Up: The lightsaber blades can be folded against the staff shaft, making the weaponry smaller and allowing for more versatility.
- Overwhelming: The overwhelming amount of lightsaber blades, especially spinning, can confuse and panic some opponents.
- Equip and Unequip: The parasol can be equipped and unequipped from any lightsaber at any time, allowing users to switch between their lightsaber and the auxiliary usage.
WEAKNESSES
- Too Many Weak Spots: So much complex circuitry, the exposed and vulnerable parts and mechanics, and the staff are all weak spots that can be blasted, broken, exploded, lightsaber diced, and disabled.
- EMP/ Ion Weakness: As a piece of complex technology and engineering, the lightsaber auxiliary can be disabled by EMPs and Ion damage.
- Complex Circuitry: The complicated and detailed circuitry could be tampered with, causing the auxiliary to dangerously malfunction on the user.
- Kinda Big: The staff is a large weak spot, as something not immune to lightsaber damage. But the staff itself also is, well, staff sized. Thus, it needs to be carried around or slung on the back; and it could be cumbersome in combat where agility counts.
- Equip and Unequip: Equipping and unequipping the auxiliary must be done manually and with the spinning function off. Even if it is a quick removal, it could still prove too slow of a switch in melee combat where every millisecond counts.
DESCRIPTION
Based on the auxiliary designs of Sith long ago, the lightsaber auxiliaries are devices used to enhance the lightsaber skills of the user in a diversity of ways. Many, many years later, the Mandalorien Force user Gwyneira Krayt picked up on the blueprints and constructed the parasol variant of the auxiliaries.
The lightsaber parasol auxiliary channels the lightsaber blades directly into eight emitters which can fold down and spin, allowing for nifty unorthodox and overwhelming uses of the lightsaber. However, this complicated piece of machinery comes with the weaknesses of glaring weak spots, size, and EMP/ Ion vulnerability. The lightsaber parasol auxiliary is a high risk high reward attachment that could be useful in strategically in the hands of a crafty person, such as Gwyneira herself.
