Strengths
I. Azurian Schola Strategema graduate. Graduating the Azurian school for warfare educates Varus in the different aspects of warfare, equally on naval as on ground tactics and strategies. Known for its realistic wargames of the final years, the school features a very realistic teaching doctrine.
II. Force sensitive man. Varus is Force sensitive, as being trained by the Order of the Flame, his skills got a joined focus with his edcuation at the Schola Strategema. He directed the teachings towards an improvement and skill in sense abilities. Developing certain talents for precognition and even shatterpoint, a rare talent.
III. House Varii. Hadrian Varus belongs to the ancient nobility of the Azure Imperium. Rich, blue-blooded and with a reputation for service and duty towards the Imperium. They are known in the Imperium and not unknown at the imperial court, fulfilling ranks and roles for centuries already.
Weaknesses
IV. Indoctrinated personality. Hadrian Varus has no 'own' opinion or view, he is totally devoted to the duty for the Imperium and his family. He can´t comprehend other people´s opinion nor accept one contradicting the greater good and will of the Imperium, the Emperor or his family.
V. Blue-blooded snob. The Varus family is rich, not only in wealth, but also in reputation, power and respect. And they know that. They are arrogant and decadent. They generally look down on others, even nobles especially when they are of younger, lesser birth.
VI. Truly decadent. Wealth and arrogance going hand in hand often create abundance of resources, at least seemingly. Hadrian Varus is known for excessive feasts, parties and worse, his entire family is. As long as it does not hurt the principles of the Imperium.

Appearance
Hadrian Varus is well built, not extremely athletic, but in good shape. His face features strong, low cheekbones, a strong and broad jaw and a hooknose. He is usually clean shaven, but has been seen bearded already during campaigns or in winter, especially in both. The eyes are cold, but of a strong and intelligent blue. His right arm, shoulder and several rips are augmented due to a heavy wound suffered in war.

Biography
Born on Zernia, in Castellum and into the Varii family, Hadrian Varus was the first son of the family, the heir of the family, the future head. Being raised in a wealthy household he was never close to his parents, but got very good teachers and instructors, for both mind and body. At the age of twelve years, he was sent to the Schola Strategema, the military academy of the Imperium. Trained and educated there in history, politics and of course, warfare, he quickly became one of the higher valued students, especially successful in the wargames hosted when was meant to fight other students. Meanwhile his Force sensitivty was discovered and his schedule was extended to include this as well.
