- Name: Halifax Hewitt; Reporter, Author, Journalist of the Year.
- Loyalties: Loose affiliations with various members of the Galactic Alliance, due to reporting on them for the last year.
- Wealth: Medium. Halifax started out interning with TriNebulon News when he was fresh out of school, but has worked his way into a respectable position within the company. He also has had a few book deals and receives royalties from them.
- Notable Possessions: N/A - Halifax isn't really a super materialistic guy.
- Skills: Halifax is extremely tech-savvy, possessing a natural affinity for computers. It led to him rising through the journalistic ranks quickly, as it often gave him an edge over others in productivity. In addition, he is naturally adept in force empathy, which often comes in handy when he is interviewing others.
- Personality: On air, he takes on a friendly yet professional manner, trying to keep things interesting for the audience but live up to the important job he does. Off-air, he's a bit goofy, and the friendliness grows into a very warm and sociable demeanor. His facial expressions are very dramatic, something that was picked up from being on live television.
- Weapon of Choice: While he'd rather try to avoid combat if possible, preferring the route of negotiations, Halifax is scrappy. He can throw a punch like the best of them, and has utilized a couple of makeshift weapons in bar fights (namely a stool and a bottle).

- Secrets make no friends: His force empathy is great for his career. He can sense when people have something to hide, and is often able to coax it out of them, giving him one of the highest breaking news rates at TriNebulon.
- Lover, not a fighter: Halifax's kind manner means he'd rather not see himself in conflict. He's also untrained in any form of combat, leaving him at a disadvantage in these scenarios.
- No one likes a gossip: At one point, Halifax fell into the hole of celebrity gossip. Printing all the juicy details, varying in their level of truthfulness, left a tarnish on his reputation. Though it is recovering, some are still distrustful.
A Coruscanti native, Halifax grew up on the lower levels with a modest family. A mom who worked too much, a dad who wasn't around, a couple of brothers who annoyed him as much as they loved him. He was very naive when he was younger, generally believing people didn't know the kind of poverty Galactic City citizens faced, which led him to his love of journalism. He thought if he could educate the galaxy, things might change. After winning a short story holocontest, he was offered a scholarship to Dammon University, where he pursued media and communications. Shortly after graduating, he returned to Coruscant, getting an apartment on the lower levels once more. He worked in a noodle shop in the evenings, to get by, while interning for TriNebulon News during the day. As he worked his way up, he touched on news analytics and editing, before settling into writing holonet reports. At that point, he also started a celebrity gossip blog, one that wasn't taken kindly by the people he was writing about. He stopped that venture a few months later, but the damage to his reputation was already done.
In the wake of events, he took to other media forms, publishing several non-fiction books about current events and the ever-changing political climate. They were widely successful, and after his superiors read them, they realized Halifax's true potential. From there he was put on a variety of assignments, including diplomacy coverage, war reporting, and humanitarian outreach. His most recent is dedicated correspondence for the Galactic Alliance, one he has found joy in, and hopes to stay with for a while.
