Hammer Fall on Metal

"MerrSteel. That's what you are going for?" Soran asked, folding his arms as he leaned against the wall opposite his boss, "Isnt it possible that could be a bad idea? If someone does not know what they are doing, this could be deadly for them. MerrSteel is basically indestructible, true, but it also absorbs heat like I inhale oxygen, plus its ultra fine tuned toward being an electric conduit."

"Yeah, but I am thinking of counters. Firstly, the suit requested needs to be a space suit, so we have to find some method of cold blocking, and potentially temperature regulation. Plus i can build a faraday cage, insert it into the manu process, and go from there." Damien drawled out. He was clearly some what drunk.

"Sir, you should sober up before you perform any of this." Soran stated, the pause coming next offering a true concern he felt for the man that provided a livelihood for he and his children.

"Ah, relax. I do amazing work when i feel a heady buzz."

Rising to his feet, a slight sway as he moved to stand evident to Soran and even himself, Damien gestured to the wall to his right, Soran's left, "Could you grab the containers." MerrSteel, for the merit of being damned near impossible to destroy, could not be allowed to harden or else its unable to be reheated to the malleable level. Because of that, it was kept in containers that forced the metal to a a low boil at all times. It was costly, but he could always sell the product for basically whatever he wished.

When Sorano began to move to pull a cart bearing one of the containers, Damien moved to begin forming a mold for the next few steps. First he carved the shape necessary, from the specs taken from the clients body, out of a wav model. It took some time, and a bit of effort to main symmetry. But it always proved worth it in the end.

"Ya know, I dont see why we even continue manufacturing such an alloy. It costs more to maintain the malleable form, than any other requirements for Merr Sonn and the Estate combined." Sorano stated as he slid the cart into place next to the place where Damien was at work.

Damien paused mid stroke, casting his eyes toward the man, "Sorano, MerrSteel is my brain child. I concieved her, found the materials that all went into her make up, blended the first example, molded the first blade made from her essence. We make her every day, because she is valuable, and because I would rip Valashu's thoughts from his mind, feed him to Leviathan, then return to my position of power over MSI. She is vastly potent, much like her newer sister."

Sorano blanched just a bit, but Damien returned his vision to the mold for the torso plating he currently was working on. The abdomen was where his mind was utterly focused, slowly he dug out the bit that would inevitably interlock with the next pieces. Each would be made singularly, crafted, then linked before locked. There would be larger pieces made from smaller, that would then come together to get the end result.

"Why such small pieces?" Sorano asked, too which Damien began to intricatepy explain his plans, all the while moving at a decent pace until finally the molds were completed. Next he began to place each of the molds correctly as individual, inside of a basin made of MerrSteel, before filling the basin with the liquid alloy. In just a few minutes the cooling was finished and he pulled them one by one free from the molds. They were then laid to the side, stacked when able, and one by one they began to be shined.

The process left each of them frosty to the touch, so they were moved via telekinesis, to make sure he did not simply sap the warmth in his to the metals. When he got tired from moving such heavy pieces of metal, Damien moved to another section of the workshop then began to build the servos and mechanical aspects to what was nnecessary. The weight of the suit would be contained by the strength enhanced servos, plus a vast more. Roughly, if he was lucky, he would be able to triple the average strength of a man. Optimistically he would be able to have the suit itself lift about 500 pounds.

After each of the servos he felt were needed, were finished he moved on to circuitry and appliances. He always felt less was more, so he took his old Beskar'gam as a template. Three sixty HUD, thermal, electromagnetic readers, thrusters, all the fixins but not enough to take away from the armor. Plus he left the armor with a few slots for modularity, should the client wish to alter things.

Pausing, Damien eyed what he had assembled so far. The suit was almost ready to be built, the servos were completed, appliances were about what he thought would be good for a start, but he still felt some things were missing. But what, that was the question...

"Grapples." Damien nodded, moved to a table and began to assemble parts for a shootable grapple system, with retractable cable and the like. It would be fired off with compressed gas, then drawn in with powerful mechanics that could carry the weight of the suit and possibly a few hundred extra pounds. It would fire from the gauntlet on the right hand.

"Boots, boots..." Damien murmured then began moving around the room, trying to decide what types of boots would be best for something like this. Its a suit that can pass for a space suit for a time... "Magnetic boots."

Finding a set of sizable boots, which he took and double checked that they could interlock with the armor, then he began assembling magnetic attachments. They would be enough to make sure that one could be safely attached to the outside of a ship for example, if necessary.

Testing them out, he activated the magnets then chucked the boots at the nearby wall. He purposely shot short, then with the little space remaing the magnets caught and jerked it until it stood tightly pressed to the flat surface.

"Powerful enough to catch the pull from almost a foot away." Sorano whistled through his teeth. Just as he was a novice with metallurgy, Sorano too was a novie to much else, including what tech did what, whether certain things were possible, much like that. Yet, just as before, his urges to learn overpowered his unlessoned seasons. Luckily for him Damien knew the answers to all of the rest of it.

"Yeah. Decent settings on that one." Damien said, then with a massive surge of power, the Force grabbed all of the final pieces of the armor. Immediately they flew around in a massive hurricane like cyclone around the duo, many of the pieces interlocking and connecting perfectly. Circuitry slipped into place, scanners landed properly in the helmet, launchers attached to the wrist, all the while from the ground up the ultra heavy armor combined piece by piece.

As Harley readied herself, she thought about Valashu's instructions of how to get the armor she wanted. She needed to find Damien, who was at his workshop... somewhere. After putting her hair up in her traditional pig-tails, she put on her boots, grabbed her cloak, and headed out.

Once she arrived at his workshop, she began to look around herself, looking for an entrance. After finding one and stepping inside, Harley continued looking around, this time seeking Damien.

While looking for Damien she spotted some odd things, like the boots stuck to the wall, and even liquid metals kept in containers. Then she spotted him in the middle of swirling materials.

"Hello, Im Harley Quynn, Valashu's fiance. He sent me to you, he told me you can help me with making some armor?"

Damien glanced over his shoulder, surprised she thought he could hear a word she was saying over the din of armor as it all clambered togethet in thuds, bange, ane small snapping sounds. Not to mention the roar of winds as items were jerked, swung, and whistled through the air. It was like a small hurricane stuck within a small room, the sound traveling hard and fast against the objects and people within it.

"Hey, i will be with you in a bit!" Damien called out, then returned his gaze to the nearly finished armor. The last pieces were connecting and slipping to set. When it was done he lowered his hands, staggered a bit then reached a hand out to place on Sorano. His friend froze, then began to wobble as well as a bit of his energy was siphoned by Damien to return his own expended reserves.

"Feep free to just look around." Damien said to the girl on the other side of the room

Lookin around the room, she found a chair, and seated herself in the chair. She then reached into her deep pockets to retrieve her cigarettes, a lighter, and her bottle of Rum. Taking a shot next, she also lit a cigarette and took an inhale. She looked around to keep herself entertained while waiting.
