This wasn’t Okuma’s typical job. But the pay was good and discretion was requested. Local specialists for this kind of work might not be trusted to keep their mouths shut. It wasn’t much more than a bug hunt for the Kage. Paying no mind to if there was some bigger conspiracy at play regarding the job. He was here for really only one reason, and that didn’t involve some local scandal. Possibly why an outsider like him was who his clients sought out. Not wanting to get any attention from wrathful Sith overlords here.

The location was very unassuming, Okuma had actually wondered if he had the wrong address. But he was assured that it was just a front, hidden under what appeared to be some typical bankrupt business. Wearing a simple hazmat suit and gas mask, equipped with a whole host of pesticides, Okuma entered the seemingly abandoned building.

The power was out so he turned on a flashlight to see as he moved from room to room. Descending further and further into it the urban hum of Jutrand faded with every step. Eventually he made it to an oddly robust door with a high end security panel next to it that was still in working order, but barely. Okuma had been given a temporary passcode, after entering it the door opened for him. Inside was a large room and what looked to be a small army of… gonk droids?

Looking through the dark, windowless room Okuma moved his flashlight around. The gonk droids all looked as though they'd seen better days. Old cables and power lines moved between them in a shoddy electrical network. All of it going to some odd, and very old spherically looking droid that was deactivated. A model that Okuma didn’t recognize. But he’d been told by his clients that it was very important to their work and knowledge of it was highly sensitive information.

But that wasn’t what he was after. What was attached to it was. Gripping the round droid from multiple angles, gluttonously drinking energy from it and the modest legion of gonk droids connected to it was a conduit worm, and a pretty big one by the looks of it. Okuma needed to exterminate it. The parasite looked to have creeped into the room from an air vent. Likely attracted to the amount of energy put off by all the gonk droids.

Okuma had heard that conduit worms could cover an incredible amount of distance and he dreaded that he was gonna need to spend quite a bit of time investigating and narrowing down where the rest of this worm’s body was to ensure it won’t be coming back. Seemed like he had his work cut out for him…
