Royal High Commander, Ducha of Charubah
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The Cyborg Warriors of Charubah have long been a part of the Hapan military and serve as one of several special operations forces. Their armour, coloured black with silver trim, are very sophisticated and resilient and in the intervening centuries, have only improved in response to known threats in the many, many wars the Galaxy has seen since the Hapans first opened their borders to outsiders. Taking inspiration (and outright technological reverse engineering) from Mandalorians, Imperial Death Troopers, and Corellian powersuits, the new third generation suits are designed as high-threat response equipment for cybernetically enhanced soldiers deployed for missions ranging from boarding and hijacking enemy ships to elimination of specific high-threat targets. They also can sometimes be seen on the open battlefield supplementing the Hapan Space Marines in firepower and by making themselves an arguably bigger threat to enemy forces than the Marines themselves.
These suits have a known weakness to ion weaponry, although this weakness is considered acceptable by Royal High Command since ion weaponry tends to be niche on the battlefield except when a given military force is deployed against a high droid population on a given battlefield. Further, covering that weakness would be markedly more expensive than the baseline design alone already is. These suits are not issued to unaugmented soldiers and would be generally less useful to a soldier not specially trained and cybernetically enhanced to use it in the first place. Against more esoteric threats such as lightsabres and the Force, they perform about as well any other powered armour suit might with personal shielding providing much of the added protection that duranium alloy alone wouldn't. However, without again increasing the already high cost of the armour suit by using Phrik or Cortosis (or upsetting Mandalorians by using Beskar), this, too, is considered an acceptable risk.
- Intent: Fleshing out the Cyborg Warriors of Charubah and providing them a modernized suit of high-end armour appropriate for their combat role.

- Powered microservos help this otherwise heavy armour wear almost like a second skin, augmenting the physical strength and speed of the wearer while regulating how much physical exertion the wearer must endure in the course of his/her mission. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Powersuit
- Vacuum seal https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Enviro-suit?so=search
- Armourweave bodysuit worn underneath for added energy protection and thremoregulation https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Armorweave/Legends?so=search
- Intended for cybernetically enhanced soldiers, it contains specialized components designed to interface with combat and prosthetic implants custom-calibrated for the individual soldier. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Cybernetics/Legends?so=search
- Integrated personal shielding https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Personal_energy_shield/Legends?so=search
- Liquid cable ascension gun integration into vambrace https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Grappling_spike_launcher
- Integrated encrypted commlink https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Comlink/Legends?so=search
- Retractable vibroblade melee weapon integrated into vambrace https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Wristband_blades (In this suit, the blades are like daggers which pop out of the front for punching)
- Vocal encryption stolen from and modelled after Imperial Death Troopers (with similar vocal distortion/vibrato when normal speech is enabled) https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Death_trooper_encryption
- Sensor suite provides information about the wearer's environment their normal senses do not usually provide: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Sensor/Legends
- Infrared-enhanced nightvision https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Infrared_receptor
- Motion tracker https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Motion_sensor?so=search
- Combat HUD with a compass, waypoint marker, ammunition counter, weapon and ambient environment temperature read-outs, personal shield monitor, satellite-link map, eletrobinocular function, Real-time IFF tagging, and a range finder https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Heads-up_display/Legends
- Aural sensors https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Aural_sensor/Legends?so=search
- Energy and lifeform scanners https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Lifeform_scanner?so=search, https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Energy_scanner
- Shielded power armour is designed to stand up to the rigors of specialized combat missions, especially high-threat response, which takes into account the most common and even some less common dangers a Cyborg Warrior could face ranging from Blasters and slugthrowers to explosives and flamethrowers.
- The wide array of sensors providing superior real-time situational awareness and the augmentation of the wearer's physical abilities make a single solider wearing this armour a dangerous opponent.
- The armour is only moderately resilient to lightsabres, which can and will quickly overwhelm its shielding and physical construction with repeated strikes.
- This armour suit has so many sophisticated electronic components that an ion weapon (such as a DEMP gun) can quickly and easily short out its shielding and fry the armour suit's components, rendering it virtually useless in the worst case scenario (nevermind the weaknesses cybernetic parts may have to ion weapons themselves, seeing as this suit of armour is designed for cyborg soldiers)
- Novahot slicers (Because literally nothing in the Galaxy which involves computers or electronic components is truly unhackable, even if its got military-grade encryption)
