I literally always think of that time we got told like 5 years ago that oooo, spooky men in basements will DDOS your website if you openly support Pride Month, we're coming, ooooooo scary. So, I hate doing these things, and getting out of the RP for a minute, but this particular topic bears repeating from now until the end of Chaos.
1. We here at Chaos laugh in the face of goblins, whether you are gay, straight, trans, disabled, up, down, left, right, your identity as a human being is not a crutch, is not something to be ashamed of, it is a weapon to beat these goblins down with.
This year, the word is "woke". Embrace it. They'll give up and make a new word. It's children, thrashing in the dark, realizing they're being left behind. Star Wars is all about identity. We embrace it. I'll be honest, I'm as plain bread CIS gendered straight guy or whatever the proper terms for it are, and I'll be honest, my pronouns have never been up for contemplation. And I'll be honest, I'm friends with a great many people who don't understand it, get mad about it, rave about it, make jokes about it. You hear it all the time. Literally none of it matters. Those embracing the future turn the cheek and embrace it. Those who don't yell in their churches until it grows eerily quiet and they realize they're the only ones left.
Chaos supports Pride Month. It's really that simple.
I had no idea Disability Pride was a thing until like 5 minutes ago. It's really that simple.
Chaos now supports Disability Pride too. It's really that simple.
I'm aware Disability Pride month is next month, we're praising it this one. It's also that simple.
And if you don't support it, that's cool. But don't get loud about it. Don't be weird about it. Keep ya head down about it. This isn't your safe space, and we're not your champions.
