- Seen as Inferior: Many other Homo Aurum see his genetic mutation a mistake, despite it being purposeful design, due to his massive differences compared to others of his kind.
- Regarded like a feral beast from more "pure" members of the Homo Aurum.
- Relatively Simple: Compared to other members of the Homo Aurum, Haraldr is far more simpler in intellect despite still being rather intelligent on average compared to other beings in the galaxy.
- Cons of Passion:
- While other Homo Aurum are cold and calculating, Haraldr is prone to great passion that can often cloud his judgement, and may not be as regarded compared to more "pure" members of the Homo Aurem.
- Lacking in Strategy: Haraldr is more trained for his own fairing in war as a warrior on the field rather than a commander. As a result, he is lacking when it comes to his ability to command large forces of units compared to others of his kind, despite his ability to lead small bands of fighters with great effectiveness.
- His strategies often involve charging at the enemy head-on and-or from advantageous points.
APPEARANCE:
Haraldr is somewhat typical for a specimen of the Homo Aurum species. Being a near-Human, he shares many features of general bodyplan and general apperance to that of a typical Human. However, his hulking size is what would differentiate himself from the average Human. Standing nearly 10 feet tall, and weighing around 400 pounds, he is rather menacing in or out of his armor. He has fair skin, nearly pale, black hair, and steel gray eyes. HIs canines are slightly larger in proportion to other teeth, and when enraged his pupils may take on a more calico appearance. His face is then covered in elaborate tattoos along the sides of his head, where they go up to his hair that is shaved on the sides with only the top present with hair. His hair is then smooth in texture, and often tied back into a braid or long "tail." In addition for his hairstyle, he keeps his beard full, but cleanly trimmed. It is somewhat long towards the chin, but he takes care to ensure a clean edge to his beard. HIs armor can be described as advanced yet primal. While it is among the best pieces one could have provided for Vandemar's ranks, it is decorated with animal pelts, teeth and claw trophies, and painted in more tribal-looking patterns aside from its metallic grey color. It is simple in build, but clearly heavy from its appearance. Outside of his armor, he often wears simple forms of garb typically expected of Vandemaran Commanders, if not fur-lined ensembles made from synth-hide.
BIOGRAPHY:
Haraldr was "born" via the cloning process of the Homo Aurum on Vandemar. Much of his gestation was pretty normal compared to others of his kind. However, his exact DNA differed greatly to the typical specimen of such a being. He was the product of a chain of experiments carried out by the Imperial Technocracy's commanding researchers to see if they could make clones of this type that, while other members worked well as blunt soldiers, could be used as Scouts instead. A type more capable of independent operation compared to the default so they could better scout ahead of main contingents, and with heightened senses to pick up on environmental details many Hom Aurum miss completely in order to find their targets. This intentional mutation was induced by making some elements of the animals that go into making the DNA for Homo Aurum more apparent. Several attempts were made to make this warrior and scout, yet all of those attempts resulted in slobbering beasts in Humanoid flesh rather than a being worthy of such a designation as Homo Aurum of Vandemar. Haraldr, however, proved to be the first success after those attempts of manipulating the ratio of genetic traits emphasized in the gestation. While having more primal thoughts and wants, he had intellect. Not just intellect, but intellect that was expected of the station he was meant to have. He then would become the genetic template for any further creations of this warrior. An elite group tasked with jobs the normal members of the Homo Aurum would find nigh-impossible.
His youth, if it could be called as such, was spent with being trained as soon as he could walk and talk. The beginning times were filled with sceintists on Vandemar observing him. He passed all tests of the standard specimen of his kind, and even excelled in tests designed to see if his mutation had desired effects. The researchers were amazed with their greatly successful creation. In his later development, he was then trained in combat, as well as in ways to perfect his sensation. He then became a warrior of great prowess, and when he went into a berserker-like frenzy from rage in battle it was soemthing terrifying the scientists deemed as something to look over. They were well pleased with the results that he was able to slay the targets before him, and even track them by scent if close enough and the wind was blowing properly. By the time he was finished with his time of training and observation, the sceintists concluded they had produced the example for any other hunters like him the Imperial Technocracy may need.
