The shadow port hung in deep space and was only the kind people could find if they were invited or had already been. Gordosa's Okyaab-Class freighter "The Black Betty" waited in a docking que a few kilometers away and waited for clearance to land.

"Kardue!" Gordosa said bellowing to the Devorian majordomo from his seat in the next room, "why haven't we landed?"

"There is a line, honorable Gordosa." Kardue said from the cockpit as he oversaw to pilot.

"I am most displeased, Drak." Gordosa said, "did you tell them they were making THE Gordosa the Hutt wait?"

"Yes Master Gordosa." Drak replied, "They moved is up three spaces in the line."

Gordosa was surprised they had not asked him to dock immediately. He was now working on growing his empire and had already "purchased" a company that sold straws and disposable utensils as a front for other kinds of trade.

"Hmph." Gordosa said turning his attention back to his crossword.

"Oogbolt," he said to Ugbolt's cousin, "what is a four letter word for silicone based substance on the sea floor starting with 'S'?"

The pudgy Gamorren was deeply involved with picking his flat piglike nose and stairing at it cross eyed when Gordosa's question startled him.

"Wut silly cones?" Oogbolt cousin of ugbolt said as they waited.

"Were your parents related?" Gordosa said as he stuck his pencil in his mouth and thought.

"Pfft all pairints related. Ebery buddy know dat." Oogbolt said in response.

"Sir we are docking now!" Kardue said interrupting the riviting revelation on Gamorrean culture.

"Good I need to buy help that can tell me what a four letter word for a substance on the sea floor starting with 'S'." Gordosa said moving to leave and go to the boarsing ramp.

ONE GOUR LATER...

Gordosa walked into a very large and clean room with several pens of various slaves. He would be checking the stock and possibly getting into the business if he could. His slugged along until he found a stall labeld multi uses slaves and went up to the large Transdoshan that stood at the desk.

"I am Gordosa the Hutt." Gordosa declared in a booming voice as Drak Kardue, Oogbolt, and RG-13 his protocol droid stood beside him. "I want to see your stock."

Lierra rested silently on the cold floor of the pen she was imprisoned in, and whispered a few words to the slave to the right of her. However, she was soon abruptly stopped as she turned to the noise of an unrecognizable loud voice and the shadow of a monstrously large figure. Lierra knew this was unfortunately going to be something she knew all too well, as she turned and saw in the corner of her eye, a large Hutt and his various assistants, speaking to the Transdoshan at the desk.

Lierra's feelings of coldness and boredom now turned to despair and anxiety. She rested both of her hands upon her head, and breathed all too fast for comfort, thoughts ran through her mind as she contemplated her immediate future. "No..no they can't take me, then I'll never get another chance to be free. I was so close at the old palace...if only, if only there was more time. Never mind that, there's not much hope for me getting out of this place, my best chance is to hope that wherever I'm going isn't so keen on security. Maybe..maybe I won't get picked at all, I hope."

She turned as another slave spoke to her, noticing Lierra's increasing stress, she calmed her with words promising her safety and well-being. "If only someone like us could ever take the actions to make those words true" she thought.

Gordosa watched as the Transdoshan roused the Slaves and made them stand in a line. Gordosa didn't like the way they handled the slaves, didn't they know that no one wanted damaged goods? He slid along the floor looking at the various people.

"Show me your teeth." Gordosa said to a man. The man did and much to Gordosa's dismay the Man had very few teeth left. "Most displeasing."

He moved along further and looked at Lierra for a moment then moved on to the last person another woman in dirty clothes. He slid back to Lierra.

"Name?" he said setting a large Orange eye on the woman as his Devorian majordomo, Drak Kardue, began making notes for Gordosa to take control of the local Slave trade.

How perfectly old school, Corrax thought to himself as he inspected the durasteel bars that stood between him and his freedom. He was quite literally in a metal cage. It was bad enough that he'd gone and gotten himself picked up by some slavers, but to be picked up by low budget slavers was just adding insult to injury. Speaking of injury, his head hurt. He had been flying escort with his mercenary group for a convoy of merchant ships when a large pirate force had swooped in to claim the prize. The merchants of course spent half of the battle - which wasn't a long one - complaining about the insufficient protection provided, but it was their own fault for being cheap. The lone squadron Corrax flew with never had a chance. A concussion missile detonated way too close to his ship, and as the tiny craft was thrown wildly through space his head bounced around the inside of the uncomfortable cockpit like a pinball. He'd awoken on the flight deck of the pirate cruiser, arms bound and blood caking the side of his face from a deep cut on his forehead. He was no longer bound, but they'd done nothing to clean up the blood.

He leaned his head back against the bars as the prisoner next to him - a wiry fellow who never ceased complaining about their circumstances - began hyper-ventilating again. What had set him off was a Hutt that had slithered his way into the room. Something about, 'I don't want to be a slave,' and 'Hutts kill those they're disappointed with!' or some such drivel. Corrax leaned over toward the man, eyes closed from his headache.

"Don't worry, mate, he's probably not here for slaves, just for snacks," he said in a matter of fact tone. This, of course, set the man into a whole new set of incoherent ramblings and seemed to fill him with more horror than before. Finally the man leaned toward Corrax and asked tentatively if Hutts really ate people.

"Nah, mate," he said, a wry smile coming onto his somewhat disoriented face. "But think how much better you feel about being a slave, now."

Hutts weren't so bad, right? Kriffing pirates ....

He had just decided to go to sleep when he was ordered to his feet by the slavers, and roughly shoved into line against a back wall by an armor clad trandoshan. He thought about fighting back, but wasn't sure which one of what appeared to be the two trandoshans shoving him toward the wall to attack first.

stardust had dropped out of hyper space when several pirates jumped and stopped bring hwr onto their ship and taking her lightsaber which tge awed at and grinned as tgey escorted her to a bigger ship where she was pushes in line, any looking at her could see she was not in her good moods as she looked down the line of slaves-well at least it cant get aby worse- she thought and looked at the hutt passing by her which she watched him as she started racking her brain for a escape plan

The large slimy Hutt stood before her, with intimidating, beating orange eyes. the person beside him began taking notes, as if he were evaluating her, "that must be the case" she thought. When the Hutt beckoned for her name, she muttered the word "Lierra", then said it a little louder to be sure she was heard. She dared not speak another word, she'd seen what happened to some of the other, newer slaves that got a little cocky. They never lasted very long. Lierra raised head and stared right into the eyes of Gordosa, awaiting a response. As she waited she noticed a green Twi'lek walking by, and wondered what her motives could be as well.

Gordosa blinked and looked her over she was thin and yet bold enough to look him in the eye. He put a Hutty hand to his chin and stood while his Devorian Majordomo waited for a decision.

"Yes to Lierra." Gordosa said as he looked her in the eye, "slot her for spa treatment and double rations I want her healthy."

Gordosa turned and moved further down to a man who looked scruffy and too fit to have been a slave long.

"Name and occupation." Gordosa said suspecting he had been kidnapped rather than bred.

Lierra was astounded to hear that she had been selected by the hutt, and before she could manage to turn and say goodbye to the few friends she'd made among the other slaves, she was taken by the arm out of her pen and lead to an unknown section of the slaver's establishment. Perhaps not unknown, but one she'd never been to herself. She'd heard the hutt say to "slot her for spa treatment and double rations" and had seen previous slaves been pulled to the same direction. Although she felt herself being overcome with nerves and anxiety, Lierra was simply glad to be off her feet and out of the dirty pen she resided in each and every night.

Once the doors to the spa treatment room opened it seemed as though a little piece of luxury was waiting for her. The slaver who brought her there spoke in a fast and stern manner: "You will spend time here in the spa treatment center, and when your rations arrive you will eat them quickly and be grateful for this opportunity. We do not expect to keep a client waiting any longer than they request." With that, the doors were slammed shut behind her, and Lierra was left in silence. She was surprised as she turned to see a young girl around the same age as her, no doubt a masseuse, who had a welcoming smile on her face, as well as arms gesturing her to lay down on the table. Lierra's mouth opened and her eyes blinked, she felt relief in this room, and peace, two feelings she hadn't felt since she had arrived here.

Gordosa turned to the Transdoshan and lifed one finger.

"Load them on my ship now." Gordosa said in a rumbling tone, "you will be compensated when I meet with your leader."

"Sssssthat can be arranged." The transdoshan replied "I am the leader."

"Is that so?" Gordosa said, "sole leader and owner?"

"Yessssss," he said truthfully.

"Excellent." Gordosa said as he raised his Concussion rifle and pulled the trigger sending the transdoshan through the air lifeless. "Payment sent. Drak get these slaves on the ship and have the battle droids take the rest of the station this is ours now. And have the woman moved to quarters on the ship with Ugbolt and Oogbolt as guards."

The Hutt began moving away as a horde of super battle droids from NPC inc began pouring into the station from his ship.

Gordosa went to the slave woman Lierra and waited for her to be brought.

{{OOC: Apologies! Hectic weekend! :) }}

Corrax leaned back slightly as the Hutt stopped in front of him. He had actually never encountered a Hutt face to face, and was caught off guard by a plethora of realities; namely his size, but couple that with the slime, the smell, and all manner of other newfound facts about Hutts and Corrax had an extremely educational moment. When the Hutt asked for his name and occupation, Corrax considered how to respond. Lie? Why bother? What did it matter? No one knew who he was. Say nothing? Again, why? What good would it serve other than a stick it to the man - err, Hutt - mentality? Exuberant grovelling? He couldn't think of any reason not to, but he also couldn't think of any reason to grovel. Oh well, honesty's the best policy, right?

"Corrax Talrus," he said in monotone resignation. "Pilot." He answered the question, everything he needed to say.

Shortly after, the Hutt barked an order to load all of them onto his ship. The Trandoshan slaver sought his due payment, and received it in full. Corrax wouldn't mourn him.

Soon, battle droids started pouring in. Corrax was surprised at the show of force, and considered his options. Truth was, however, he had very few ... besides being a Hutt slave ....

stardusr walked by [member="Corrax Talrus"] leaning and whispering "hey not a bad day eh "star joked and looked around at the drouds marching them onto a ship "look.....we can work togetber amd get out of this place"she said lookinh forward with a sigh as she spied her saber being brought to [member="Gordosa"]
; sir we foumd to lightsaber near by "it said and held them out

Lierra sat on the massage table eating and picking through various fruits in a large basket. Her treatment was over, but the masseuse hadn't left without leaving rations for the slave to fatten up on, even if it was only for a small amount of time. Finally feeling comfortable with the current scenery of the room, Lierra felt free in a way. Perhaps it was the silence around her, that she could only feel this way when she was alone. However, as fate would have it, this wouldn't last long. Staring through the window, Lierra was jolted by the sound of the door opening behind her, and turned to see two Gamorreans as well as some battle droids behind them.

One of the Gamorreans spoke: "It's time. Da boss wants you in the ship. NOW." She reluctantly stood up and walked in between the two Gamorreans and droids, and was escorted to the hutt's ship. While passing by the pens, she noticed the body of the leader of the slave facility, and saw a large bullet wound in his chest. Not that she gave a damn about the guy, but Lierra just wasn't used to this brutality by masters. Kohibito had never shot anyone, at least none that she herself saw. Lierra was roughly shoved and told to keep moving. "It never gets any easier" she thought to herself.

Gordosa stopped at the foot of the boarding ramp to his large freighter and watched as slaves were ushered in.

"Corrax Talrus, report to the cockpit, you can fly for 2000 credits a month." Gordosa bellowed over the noise as two slave ring owners were brought forward by a pair of destroryer droids he had salvaged from Tatooine.

"Your making a mistake Hutt." a slender quarren proclaimed.

"If you two want to keep operating you will work exclusively for the Cartel or this will be the last time you do business anywhere." Gordosa replied.

"What is the cut?" The slavers asked.

"You give us 40% and first pick of new stock." Gordosa answered.

"That's ridiculous!" The other slaver, a Weequay, said.

"Not when compared to the alternative." Gordosa replied, "Give me the deed to this station and I will cut it to 15%."

The two slavers conferred briefly whispering back and forth.

"Done." They said in unison.

"Most pleasing, you may go now." Gordosa said.

The slavers left and a battle droid walked up and held out a pair of lightsabers. Gordosa looked at them and then to the slaves before he took them both and put them in his Hutt-size fanny pack.

"Have the slaves separated into groups, Single males, single females, families with children and families without children. I want all of them treated properly no damage and clean conditions." Gordosa declared as he looked back and saw two of his Gamorreans shoving the young woman he had singled out.

"HEY!" Gordosa rumbled as he slithered up to the two, "I said she is to be well treated. Take her to her designated quarters and have the eldorai seamstress sent in to get measurements for her new wardrobe. Gordosa turned to Lierra.

"Choose whatever styles you like but you will need at least one ball gown and one business suit, choose as many others as you think you need and hit the intercom for any request. We will speak more later."

At the instant his Devorian majordomo ran up with the station deed and a datapad with a full list of other gangs and their operations, everything from Spice to slaving to information brokerage.

"Excellent." Gordosa said looking back to the woman, "On your way then."

As the lithe twi'lek approached, Corrax glanced her way, his head still pounding. Her invitation to help him get out of here wasn't one that he had any interest of taking on at the moment. They were on a space station surrounded by frakking battled droids ...

"I think you're on your own for the time being, mate," he said as the line started moving toward the ship. "I've no desire to get gunned down by a tin bucket with battle programming." He gave her a wink as he kept walking. Corrax had always been the 'take life as it comes' type, and was currently waiting to see where things ended up. Even if escape was something he wanted, he knew that now wasn't the time or place.

His decision to wait was rewarded when he heard the Hutt bellow as he was entering the ship. He wasn't very familiar with this particular ship, but in his heart-of-hearts he knew he could fly anything with engines; and a hull; along with a cockpit; working electronics; autopilot ... yeah, he could fly anything ...

He looked at a quick ship's schematic on the boarding level and found that the cockpit would be on deck three, so he made his way there. Several minutes later, he entered the cockpit to find a dream come true. Things were shiny, new, and not broken! For now, anyway. Things rarely stayed that way.

Sitting down in the pilot's chair, Corrax began to familiarize himself with the controls and begin pre-flight checks. The smile that creased his face was one that could also be found on the face of a kid with a new toy. Two-thousand credits a month was a pretty low wage for a starship pilot, but he figured it was probably a pretty high wage for a slave. It's a wash, he thought to himself as he ran his fingers over the pilot's yolk. Reaching up above him, he flipped on the comms unit and called out, hoping that Gordosa would hear him wherever he was.

"Uh, boss," he said awkwardly, realizing he hadn't thought about what to call his massive employer ... owner ... who knows what he was? "She's comin' to life, making final checks now. Where 'we headed?"

stardust sighed and nodded her eyes on her sabers as they were given to [member="Gordosa"] , she clenched her hands and followed the othrrs hanging back though to stay near [member="Gordosa"] hoping for a chancr or heck anything to help her at this moment

Lierra was escorted to her quarters upon Gordosa's vessel, and the doors were shut behind her. There were two other female slaves, both sitting on a bed and conversing with each other. They had turned silent when Lierra had entered the room, and she wondered if she was an unwelcome guest to the others, or perhaps there was something they knew that she didn't. One of them spoke up, very excitedly at that, "Hi!! You must be one of the new girls Gordosa picked! Right? There's a datapad right over there that you can select your clothes from, just pick 'em and they'll be brought to you here within the next hour. Well, after the seamstress has done her thing, of course". Lierra spoke "Um, yeah, I am, thanks". The other female slave stood with a smile on her face, "Mhm, no problem" and went back to playing a game with her friend on the bed.

Lierra turned her attention to the datapad, and scrolled through the various wardrobe choices. She felt she might as well enjoy choosing her own taste in fashion, as it was something she was never allowed at the old palace. Things had to be Master's way, and that was that. Gordosa seemed to care a bit more for his slaves, but she knew this was most likely just the initial treatment. She had chosen a beautiful, silky white shirt for her business attire, one that flowed around and on the back, almost like a small cape, she thought, along with tight dark grey pants to finish the look. For the ball gown, she decided on a long red dress with a little bit of bling here and there. Perhaps she would choose more later, but fornow Lierra was all too exhausted and even a little depressed to think about these things.

She rested her head against the side of the bed, and heard the excessive giggling of the two slaves behind her. She took a long sigh, and spoke softly, "How can you be so happy, so peaceful when all of...this...is happening?" One of the slaves piped up "Oh deary, you can't be so down like that, you'll never be able to survive it. But trust me, Gordosa takes fair care of all his slaves that do as their told". She wanted to protest, but instead stood up at the sound of the seamstress coming in for measurements. [member="Gordosa"]

Gordosa slid into the ship followed by the the last slaves as many droids stayed behind with some troops to maintain the Hutt's control over the station and the slave trade.

"Have the new pilot plot a course for Anobis." Gordosa told Ugbolt the Gamorrean as he slithered by.

"Yus Gordosa." Ugbolt said as he turned and walked to the cockpit.

Gordosa slid along while several servants moved about cleaning up the ship. He made his way to the young woman's room and entered unannounced.

"Lierra, have you found things to your liking?" He said as if she wasn't a slave.

Lierra was slowly dozing off to sleep when the Hutt arrived, she sat with her back against the bedside. Just as her head dropped for perhaps the final time before she would fall into a deep slumber, she was abruptly awoken by the sound of Gordosa entering the room. "Lierra, have you found things to your liking?" the Hutt asked."Yes! Yes I..." Lierra was still in recovery from her grogginess, "I...". It was only then that she looked around the room and thought about the question. To her liking? When was her input on things ever asked for...it was something she hadn't expected, even more surprises from the great Gordosa the Hutt. This question made her feel something..perhaps peace, like she was back in the spa treatment room, sitting on that white table. Lierra felt some amount of tension, if only a little, being released from her mind and body.

"I uh..yes, everything's fine I suppose" she replied, still unsure of someone treating her like a proper human being. Most slave holders were cruel and unforgiving, this was true. It was all Lierra had ever known, from the moment she was first sold to where she had ended up now. Any other attitudes and personalities were new territory to her. [member="Gordosa"]
