PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age
: 31
Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
Species
: Human.
Appearance: Extremely pretty. Harmony is an attractive Dahomian woman. Though she now lives in the lap of luxury, her childhood was not easy. Separated from her family and enslaved at an early age, she was often beaten by a sadistic slaver to 'discipline' her. Due to medical technology, these scars have mostly healed, though some remain on her back as thin, white lines. She is very graceful, and has a slender build, dark skin, brown eyes, black hair and full lips. She walks with grace. Harmony wears clothes and shoes of the highest quality. In terms of attire, she gravitates to dresses, skirts, blouses etc. but can also don more casual clothing. Her nails are always well-done and elegantly polished. She is a regular customer of various high-class fashion boutiques.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Name
: Harmony. All Dahomians have name that are translations from their native language which describes their personality. Certain senior members of Siobhan's household have given themselves informal, gem-themed codenames. Harmony's is Jet. She would get stroppy if someone else got it.
Loyalties: Siobhan, Firemane Industries, House Kerrigan, Elpsis, Firetruth, Royal, Tempest.
Wealth: Medium to upper middle class. Harmony is one of Siobhan's personal attendants and has worked for her for many years. Siobhan is especially generous with gifts. She has to be a bit more frugal now since Siobhan is in coma and thus she no longer receives special bonuses for her work, but her life is still comfortable.
Notable Possessions: Collection of expensive dresses and jewellery, engraved Hold-Out Bolter gifted to her by Tempest. Gold necklace and pendant from the Order of the Torch, an exclusive social club of aristocrats her bosses belong to. Before Siobhan fell into a coma, Harmony usually lived at one of her boss' many villas. However, she has an apartment on the Arx Aeternae. She has a stock of high-class perfume.
Skills: She is good at organising, and has a very good memory. She is an exceptional masseuse, fluent in Eldarai, the Dahomian language and a talented hairdresser. Unlike Siobhan, she is not squeamish about changing diapers. She can also pilot a shuttle. Moreover, while not a dedicated healer she has some knowledge of traditional Dahomian medicine and remedies. With her good memory, natural wit, charm and photogenic looks, Harmony is adept marketing (read propaganda), advertising, HR and interviews.

Languages: Fluent in Basic and in the Dahomian language. She can also speak Twi'leki, Zandri, the main Qadiri language and Eldarai, language of the Eldorai species. This enables her to act as a translator.
Personality: Charming, flirtatious, cheeky, witty. She is very understanding, gentle and tactful, making her name an appropriate choice. She has a winning smile and a way of setting people at ease. Harmony values loyalty and friendship highly. She has a close friendship with Tempest, her fellow Dahomian in the Kerrigan household. Both often converse in their native language. She maintains close contact to other Dahomian employees in Firemane, being part of what is commonly referred to as the 'Dahomian Clique' and often helps fellow Dahomians get jobs in the megacorp. Moreover, she's extremely devoted to Siobhan Kerrigan, her boss and former childhood hero. She earned her devotion due to her role in the Omega Pyre liberation force that freed Dahomey, and due to the assistance the Protectorate and later Firemane gave the Dahomian people. The two are having an affair.

However, though more than a little in awe of Siobhan, Harmony is not afraid to speak her mind. She's familiar with her boss' quirks and eccentricities, often coaching new employees and guests on how to approach her. She's also one of the few people who can calm Siobhan down when she's in a bad but not apocalyptic mood. Much like her boss, Harmony is materialistic and more than a little vain.

She plays no major role in company policy, but has some influence because she's a constant presence at the CEO's side, meaning that she has a good idea of her moods and opinions. While Harmony is not political per se, she does view herself as an advocate for causes that benefit her people on Dahomey. As a result, local leaders do view her as someone to approach when they want to petition Siobhan. Harmony is too smart to be blatant about it, but there is definitely more than a little favouritism involved. However, her role in this regard has diminished since Siobhan is in coma. She still brings up such matters with Elpsis when she happens to be on the Arx, but these occasions are infrequent. Harmony is a bit of a gossip queen.

She gets on well enough with Royal, Siobhan's power-hungry, sycophantic majordomo. The Chiss is her boss, so having a decent working relationship is important. Moreover, Harmony is an easy-going person who gets on with most people. When Siobhan fell into a coma, Harmony was left without a patron and many of her duties were not immediately relevant anymore. However, she found a niche working as an assistant for Royal and her friend Vivian.

Elpsis and Harmony are not close. The 'Fire Princess' does not dislike her personally, but Harmony is not a person she would confide in. Not that Harmony would spill secrets to others maliciously, but she's not especially in Elpsis' court, so to speak. Or someone who'd have much reason to look out for Elpsis' interests.

There's one area where her usually mild-mannered, harmonious nature gives way to a sterner disposition, namely the issue of slavery. Having been a slave and seen so many innocent people mistreated, Harmony cannot abide or tolerate it and is thoroughly lacking in sympathy or mercy for those who indulge in the practice of enslaving sentient beings or profit from it.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice
: Holdout bolter/blaster, easily concealed blaster pistols. Her greatest weapons are her wits, charms and common sense though. Fortunately, her bosses are Force Masters and she will usually have guards who know what to do in a serious crisis.
Combat Function: Harmony's primary tactic is to hole up in cover, fire her blaster/bolter/slug pistol and wait for backup. She is not a soldier and avoids combat where possible. However, she is a good shuttle pilot and able to keep a cool head in emergency situations.

Strengths:
  • Basic self-defence skills, good shuttle pilot.
Weaknesses:
  • She is a civilian, not a warrior. This has serious implications for combat. She is as Force-Sensitive as a plank and does not possess any superpowers, genetic or cybernetic enhancements.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Harmony was born in a time of transition and change, when the Galaxy slowly emerged from the Four Hundred Year Darkness. Unfortunately, it was also a time of exploitation for her homeworld. Dahomey was still a pre-industrial world, having regressed due to isolation and internecine warfare. As a result, her people lived as hunters and gatherers hundreds of miles away from the capital Abomey, which was often a battleground for warlords who sought to curry favour with foreign traders through the sale of gold, salt and slaves. Harmony's childhood was happy enough, and though her parents were not wealthy, she did not go without. Her father was a skilled hunter, while her mother was a medicine woman, who practiced traditional Dahomian medicine. They were acquainted with Tempest's clan and the older girl became a childhood friend for Harmony, teaching the little one how to defend herself and track wild animals on the Veldt.

Unfortunately, her sparse, but relatively happy life did not last. Ironically, gold was extremely common on Dahomey, meaning it was used in mundane and and amazing weights such as tarpaulin weights and serving platters. What was rare was steel and technology. Wars were fought over it. Rapacious merchants and slavers were attracted to Dahomey, seeking riches. First came the Independent Mining Guild, which sought to exploit Dahomey's gold, but whose officers often also profited from the slave trade. Harmony's parents opposed its practices and made the error of not turning on Tempest's clan when its village was bombed by an IMG-backed warlord. As a result, they faced persecution.

One of Harmony's brothers died in a fight, gunned down before her eyes. She lost her best friend when Tempest was taken as a slave. Things did not improve when a new warlord came from the stars, a general named Amherst. Originally hired by the foreign capitalists to 'ensure good governance' and 'restore order' so that they could make a profit, he double-crossed both IMG and the warlords, taking control of the planet. When her village was accused of sheltering rebels and falling behind on mining quotas, many were enslaved as collective punishment. Harmony was one of the poor unfortunate souls. Separated from her family, she was enslaved as a kid and being prepared to be sold when she reached an acceptable age.

Harmony rarely every speaks of this time, but to say that it was unpleasant is a tremendous understatement. She was reunited with Tempest when they ended up with the same master, a cruel, sadistic man who abused his slaves. When he beat Harmony particularly savagely, Tempest succumbed to a violent rage and unleashed a terrible blast of Force energy that killed him and his guards. Shocked and terrified, Harmony attempted to flee, but was captured.

Fortunately, salvation was at hand, as Omega Pyre forces descended upon the planet to enact regime change. Amherst's soldiers were defeated and the warlord was removed from power. Harmony and the other slaves were freed from captivity. In the process, Dahomey was pulled first into the Pyre's then the Protectorate's orbit, though it retained strong links to Tegaea Alcori and Siobhan Kerrigan, who had led the liberation campaign. Harmony and Tempest reunited, though the latter would soon travel to distant Fondor to join Tegaea's staff.

During her captivity, her village had been destroyed by warlords, though Harmony's family still lived. As Dahomey moved into a new future, Harmony embraced the opportunities freedom had provided her. She went to a school sponsored by the planet's new 'benevolent' dictators, and learned Basic, gaining an education that made her aware of the greater Galaxy and the manifold opportunities it offered.

She stayed in touch with Tempest, and upon completing her education at a local college in Abomey applied for a job at Firemane, the company founded by Tegaea and Siobhan following their resignation as the Protectorate's leaders. She became an aide and a translator, working at the local branch office on Dahomey. Finally, she was introduced to her bosses through Tempest, who had become an important employee and Siobhan's apprentice.

She and Siobhan grew close over time, and Harmony joined her personal staff. Harmony was at the side of the Firemane power couple since then, sharing in their triumphs and defeats. She became a constant presence in the Kerrigan-Alcori household and was treated as a part of the family. With her wit and natural charm, she managed to carve herself a niche as a specialist for marketing. She was a former slave who had been rescued by Siobhan and managed to make something out of herself. Moreover, she was charming and pleasant. It made her good at selling a story.

She and Siobhan soon started an affair. Moreover, she belongs to the Dahomian Clique, which is a somewhat derogatory name for a tight-knit network of Dahomian Firemane employees, who are often tied through shared experiences and tribal kinship. She was something of a confidante for Siobhan and an insight into how the company's employees were feeling. Moreover, she often handled initial interviews for certain types of employees. This was a way to weed out unsuitable candidates - and advance people she wanted to help.

Harmony served as an assistant to Siobhan when Firemane created the Wildhome Planetary Preserve. She was not a conservationist herself, but brought Siobhan together with representatives from the Dahomian Conservation Society, a native environmentalist organisation dedicated to the conservation of the planet's native species. She alerted Siobhan when protests broke out after a foreign energy concern with ties to Firemane received a concession to exploit liquid fuel deposits near the preserve. Siobhan had initially approved the deal, but then changed her mind after some careful diplomacy and the suspicious murder of the park's chief warden.

Behind the scenes, Harmony was involved in the making of 'Heroes of Purity', a Firemane propaganda movie about its campaign on Tephrike. Elpsis was unwillingly the 'star' of the movie since she had been captured and tortured by a Jedi fundamentalist regime on Tephrike, and then managed to break free. Harmony was involved in casting lesser parts for the movie, especially when it came to 'real' characters' playbys. She had a lot of input for Dahomian actors.

She acted as one of Siobhan's agents. This required some careful diplomacy since Siobhan could be rather overbearing because the Fire-Maned Lady was rather particular about how she would be portrayed in the movie, even though it was just a cameo. Dahlia Lynson, who had been initially casted as Siobhan's actress but then fired, later claimed the Dahomian had slandered her name.

Harmony accompanied Siobhan when her boss visited Dahomey to preside over the opening of the Saviour Gate Spaceport. The spaceport was named after a Dahomian heroine who had been enslaved from birth, but managed to free her captors. Unable to bear seeing her people chained, she returned again and again to the mines and plantations to facilitate the escape of more slaves. Eventually she was killed, but never lost a single fugitive. The story appealed to Siobhan both for abolitionist and political reasons. Harmony had been Siobhan's speechwriter and rehearsed the occasion with her.

However, the happy occasion was marred by the fact that some of Harmony's people would be punished for attacking Firemane personnel and property. Harmony had unsuccessfully tried to intercede on their behalf since they had only rebelled due to unjust treatment at the hands of a Firemane official. Siobhan was aware of this, but argued that they should have gone through the proper channels. Mindful of Firemane's prestige, she said she could not afford the spectacle of a public trial and would have the district officer punished in secret.

The ceremony was rudely interrupted by the arrival of a rogue Sith Lord called Darth Soteria and her followers. They ambushed the guests and killed most of the guards. During the melee, Soteria was able to take Harmony as a hostage, forcing Siobhan to either fight to help her friend or flee and be revealed as a fraud. Siobhan was unprepared for a fight, but refused to take the cowardly choice. She engaged Soteria in a brutal duel. Harmony was no warrior, and thus had to take cover and hide.

Meanwhile, Elpsis had been visiting the nature preserve with her friends Reverence and Purity, who were both from Dahomey. However, then she sensed that her adoptive mother was in danger and took off. When she arrived at the port, Soteria had triumphed, but been severely wounded, too. Elpsis was able to drive the Sith, who was exhausted and not doing much better than Siobhan, away, but failed to kill her. She was able to use her powers to keep Siobhan from dying, at the cost of draining herself and falling unconscious. Siobhan entered a coma. Harmony was grateful to be alive, but the fate of her patron for many years was uncertain. The Dahomian was interviewed by Firetruth, providing an account of what had happened. Naturally it was used to empathise Siobhan's heroism.

Per her will, Elpsis was made acting matriarch of House Kerrigan-Alcori, though not of Firemane itself. The pyromancer was quite unhappy about this. It did, however, allow her to increase the amount of funding allocated to humanitarian and environmentalist projects sponsored by the family. She could not control Firemane's treasury, but, to a certain degree, decide where her family's money was supposed to go.

Harmony continued to serve House Kerrigan-Alcori, but things wee a bit in flux for her. Elpsis was nominally the head of the family, but more interested in serving on the frontlines as a soldier than in actually running the affairs of a noble house. As a result, the palatial villa only had a skeleton staff. Officially Siobhan was still CEO, but since she could exercise her duties at present and Tegaea Alcori no longer wielded any influence in policymaking, a 'regency' headed by Director Kaylah Danton took charge. Kaylah was not receptive to Siobhan's personal household exercising influence. All this meant that Harmony had to think about her future.

However, the Dahomian found employment working as an executive assistant for Royal, Siobhan's majordomo, and Vivian, Firemane's spin doctor and head of public relations. Vivian was a fellow Dahomian, albeit one the clique did not like much because she uses a galaxy name. Elpsis was not too thrilled since she disliked both due to their efforts to use her as a pawn. But between those two Harmony's skills could be used wekk. She was especially good for interviews of all sorts of higher level positions to thin out the applicants so the board could interview personally for the second one.

Hello, my name is Jayden and I'll be your codex judge for this submission.

I like. The history here is near perfect and the amount of detail is amazing. I can't see a problem with this and will stamp it. Well done, this is one of the better submissions I have had the pleasure of reading and I can't find anything to fault with this.

Thanks,
Jayden
